The Role

As Finance Manager (Individual Contributor), you will play a central role in running and scaling NLC’s finance function.

You’ll operate at the intersection of accounting, financial control, and decision support, acting as the link between day-to-day financial operations and senior leadership. Working in a lean team (CFO, Head of Finance, Finance Manager, Financial Administrator), you will take ownership of core finance processes while helping professionalize and scale the function.

This is a hands-on role with significant exposure to leadership, investors, and a complex multi-entity structure spanning venture building and fund management.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Control

• Lead day-to-day finance operations across multiple entities
• Own the month-end close process (accruals, provisions, intercompany, reconciliations)
• Review and ensure the quality of all accounting outputs (AP, AR, bank, fixed assets)
• Prepare and review management reporting, financial statements, and variance analyses
• Maintain strong financial controls, documentation, and audit readiness
• Act as primary contact for external accountants, auditors, and advisors

Reporting, Analysis & Decision Support

• Deliver clear, structured financial insights to support leadership decisions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
• Build high-quality Excel models and PowerPoint materials for internal and external use
• Improve reporting through automation and tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL-based environments)
• Translate complex data into concise, executive-ready outputs

Payroll & HR Finance Oversight

• Oversee outsourced payroll providers (NL and international platforms)
• Review payroll inputs/outputs for accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate payroll processes with HR and leadership
• Support headcount reporting, compensation analysis, and workforce cost tracking

Team Coordination & Process Improvement

• Act as the functional bridge between the Financial Administrator and senior finance leadership
• Review work, set priorities, and ensure high-quality, timely outputs
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, templates, and workflows
• Contribute to building a high-performance, detail-driven finance culture

Who You Are

• 4–7 years of experience in Big 4 Transaction Services, Deals, Consulting, or similar high-performance environments
• Strong foundation in financial accounting, reporting, and control
• Highly detail-oriented, structured, and quality-driven
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; able to produce polished, decision-ready outputs
• Experience with or strong interest in analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL)
• Comfortable combining hands-on execution with review and coordination
• Able to operate under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communicator with the ability to work with senior stakeholders and external parties
• Dutch language skills are a plus

CTO/ Head of Engineering (robotic endoscopy)

About the Company

AIDO is an early-stage medical robotics venture on a mission to transform the fight against cancer through innovation in robotic endoscopy. Originating from the world-renowned IHU Strasbourg, the company is developing a novel robotic “third hand” add-on for flexible endoscopes. This compact and intuitive electromechanical assistant enhances the performance of therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

AIDO’s proprietary technology improves ergonomics, stability, and instrument control, reducing the physical strain and coordination burden typically placed on endoscopists. By making complex therapeutic procedures easier, more reproducible, and more comfortable to perform, AIDO enables physicians to treat cancers and pre-cancerous lesions endoscopically rather than surgically, supporting earlier and non-invasive intervention for patients.

Validated by more than 60 clinicians, AIDO is now entering a pivotal phase, industrializing its prototype into a clinical-grade medical device, advancing regulatory pathways, and shaping future AI-enabled capabilities.

The Role

AIDO is seeking a hands-on CTO / Head of Engineering who can lead product development end-to-end, establish the engineering foundation of the company, and drive the technical roadmap as it enters a new phase of growth.

This role combines strategic influence with deep technical execution. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, clinicians, and the CEO to bring a safe, intuitive, and robust device to market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and validation of the electromechanical endoscopy-assist device.
  
  
• Translate physician feedback into ergonomic, intuitive product improvements.
  
  
• Build and implement the QMS (ISO 13485) and guide EU/US regulatory strategy.
  
  
• Manage and challenge external suppliers while building internal engineering know-how.
  
  
• Drive the V&V plan for CE (Class I initial version) and future 510(k) pathways.
  
  
• Strengthen the company’s IP position and contribute to the technology strategy.
  
  
• Support upcoming fundraising with technical expertise.
  
  
• Build and lead AIDO’s engineering team over time.
  
  

Profile Requirements

• 10 years of experience (approx.) in medical devices, robotics, or electromechanical systems.
  
  
• Track record of bringing hardware-based medical devices from prototype to clinical or commercial launch.
  
  
• Strong hands-on engineering ability (mechanical/electromechanical/AI).
  
  
• Solid understanding of ISO 13485, CE marking, V&V, and ideally 510(k) processes.
  
  
• Sensitivity to usability and clinical workflow constraints.
  
  
• Comfortable working in early-stage environments with high ownership and autonomy.
  
  
• Excellent communication with clinicians, engineers, and investors.
  
  
• Experience in endoscopy, surgical robotics, imaging, and/or AI is a strong plus.
