Primary Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled GIS Professional to support our Members’ migration from our legacy mapping and staking software to our next‑generation platform. Reporting to a Professional Services Team Lead, the Implementation Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Engineering and Operations teams to resolve technical issues related to project deployment and software transitions. This role encompasses performing NISC GIS software implementations for member/customers, managing implementation projects end‑to‑end, validating and verifying the accuracy of converted data, providing ongoing application support, and delivering comprehensive training on all aspects of the application. Additionally, the Implementation Project Manager will address customer questions regarding product functionality and usage via telephone, email, or on‑site visits.

Essential Functions:

• 3-5 years of ArcGIS Enterprise Suite product experience (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcMap, ArcCatalog)
• Provides superior customer support to internal and external customers in all encounters
• Determine expectations and timelines of the Member’s conversion process.
• Prepare and monitor the Project Plan.
• Identify gaps in features and functionality in software and oversee resolution.
• Identify changes required for conversion of data.
• Complete and prepare conversion documents.
• Oversee the standardization of artifacts used in the Project Plan
• Add and enhance artifacts with team lead’s assistance.
• Assist in document preparation.
• Communicate with all parties involved in the enterprise implementation
• Compiles and analyzes business requirements and evaluates Member/Customers’ operational processes to prepare for software application conversions, migrations, and/or new implementations.
• Designs and implements system set-up configurations for Member/Customers performing independently and proficiently.
• Designs and delivers training to the Member employees to prepare for “live” week. Utilizes all implementation best practices and artifacts for all implementation projects.
• Assists customers in all aspects of implementation including troubleshooting, training, and on-going support
• Prepares Change Requests (CRs) and follow-up to resolution.
• Performs research into difficult application problems, resolves issues for Member/Customers and recommends changes or enhancements as directed.
• Facilitate and follow up with Member/Customers on difficult requests and procedures.
• Gathers, maintains and audits Member information in the configuration database.
• Utilizes all support tools as directed.
• Conveys customer feedback to product development staff as appropriate.
• Perform on-site training or deliver remote application training to Member/Customers via Web Tools.
• Provides after-hours support.
• May prepare materials and deliver National IT Learning Center classes.
• May prepare materials and deliver Member Information Conference (MIC) sessions.
• May be called upon to assist in other implementation areas.
• May be called upon to participate on design teams.
• May be called upon to participate in testing of new product development or enhancements.
• Will be required to travel to customer sites as often as necessary to meet business objectives.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Desired Job Experience:

• Support/implementation experience either at NISC or similar related experience.

Summary: 

It is our purpose to provide World Class GIS solutions that exceed our Member’s expectations. This will be done through the building and maintenance of our Member’s GIS databases using NISC's proprietary Mapping GIS solution as well as other GIS solutions. 

Essential Duties:   

• Setup, edit and maintain GIS datasets for internal and external customers including, but not limited to; layers, fields, domains, geometric networks, and associated attributes and assets.
• Perform quality assurance including; collecting and analyzing database updates and work orders to ensure “as-built” conversion process is successful.
• Assist with the scheduling, tracking, monitoring, and leading GIS projects to ensure start time and deadlines are met, keeping all stakeholders informed.
• Provide technical and analytical support to internal customers for our GIS software.
• Provide software enhancement recommendations for our GIS software,

Position Overview:

As a Project Manager (Work Management Implementations), you’ll help utilities confidently roll out and adopt NISC’s Work Management solution. You’ll team up with stakeholders to understand business needs, shape smart workflows, and deliver training that helps crews and office teams get more done with less friction. Along the way, you’ll dig into work process analysis, set up dispatching and field service tools, guide system testing, and lead both virtual and onsite training. After go-live, you’ll answer questions and tweak workflows and configuration as needed, before transitioning them to our internal Support team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Dive into Member/Customer business processes to map, improve, and implement effective workflows.
• Configure NISC products so they support (and streamline) real-world Member/Customer operations.
• Lead onsite and virtual training for Member/Customers, adapting to a wide range of technical skill levels.
• Plan and facilitate Member/Customer meetings as needed to keep work moving and decisions clear.
• Troubleshoot and resolve configuration, data, and permission issues (and know when to pull in partners).
• Juggle multiple projects at once and keep them on track for on-time delivery.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate integrations, testing, and project timelines.
• Maintain project schedules, track risks, and create training materials and reports when needed.
• Provide application support throughout the full project lifecycle—from kickoff through go-live and ending when they reach Support.
• Participate in after-hours call support as assigned.
