Position Overview:
The Business Operations Intern will provide administrative and analytical support to the Business Operations office. This role will be responsible for assisting with revenue-generating activities and initiatives, including sales, marketing, and partnership development across the enterprise. Position Overview:
The Premium Hospitality Host will be responsible for supporting the Franchise Sales & Service department for the WNBA Washington Mystics with their Fan Experience. This role will serve as the liaisons between the Sales & Service team and their clients. Hosts will be primarily responsible for overseeing premium hospitality areas and engaging with guests in those respective spaces or activations.

- Distribute fan giveaways and manage on-site promotions while creating positive fan interactions.

The Sports Broadcasting Technical Lead is responsible for coordinating all technical aspects of live sports broadcasts. This includes handling the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of broadcasting equipment. This person will coordinate with production, engineering, and operations teams.

- Supervise and preserve broadcast equipment like cameras, switchers, routers, replay systems, graphics systems, and audio consoles.
- Coordinate technical crews, including engineers, operators, and freelancers, ensuring alignment with production needs.
- Collaborate with producers, directors, and editorial teams to guarantee all technical needs are fulfilled for each event.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time to minimize disruption during live broadcasts.
- Ensure accurate signal flow and quality for transmission to linear TV, digital platforms, and streaming services.
- Coordinate remote production (REMI) workflows, satellite uplinks, and IP-based transport systems.
- Maintain compliance with FCC regulations, safety standards, and internal SOPs.
- Assist in budgeting and procurement of technical resources for productions.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior technical staff and freelancers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Engineering, Media Technology, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in live broadcast production, preferably in sports.
- Deep knowledge of broadcast systems, including SDI/IP workflows, video/audio routing, encoding/decoding, and transmission technologies.
- Experience leading technical teams in fast-paced, live production settings.
- Mastery in broadcast control systems like Evertz and Lawo, video switchers such as Grass Valley and Ross, replay systems like EVS and DreamCatcher, and audio consoles including Calrec and Yamaha.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Experience with cloud-based and IP production technologies (e.g., AWS Elemental, SRT, NDI).
- Familiarity with REMI workflows and remote production infrastructure.
- Certifications in broadcast technologies (e.g., SBE, SMPTE, Dante).
- Experience working with major sports leagues, federations, or broadcasters.
- Knowledge of media asset management and post-production workflows.

Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) is one of the largest integrated sports and entertainment companies in the country with one of the most diverse partnership groups in all of sports. MSE owns and operates seven major and minor sports teams: 2018 NHL Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals, NBA’s Washington Wizards, WNBA’s 2019 Championship Washington Mystics, NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go, 2021 & 2020 NBA 2K League Champion Wizards District Gaming and Caps Gaming, an esports sub-brand of the Capitals. Additionally, it holds a significant investment in a seventh professional team, Team Liquid, an endemic esports team owned and operated by aXiomatic, in which MSE is an investor.
In September 2022, MSE acquired the regional sports network, then-called NBC Sports Washington and newly rebranded as Monumental Sports Network. Monumental Sports Network now holds the exclusive local television media rights to Capitals’, Wizards’, and Mystics’ games. The network is both a linear channel and a digital operation. Prior to acquiring the linear platform, the digital platform was launched by MSE in 2016, as the first-of-its-kind regional sports network for digital, mobile, and streaming platforms. Those linear and digital platforms are now combined and join Caps Radio, Wizards Radio, MSE Outdoor and Monumental Productions for a full suite of six media enterprises.
In addition to Capital One Arena – a venue which hosts 3M+ visitors across over 250 events annually, MSE also manages MedStar Capitals Iceplex (training facility for the Capitals), MedStar Health Performance Center (training facility for the Wizards, Mystics, and Go-Go) and EagleBank Arena (a 12,000+ live event venue on George Mason University’s campus).
In July 2020, MSE partnered with William Hill (subsequently acquired by Caesars Entertainment) to open the first ever in-arena sportsbook in North America, now called Caesars Sportsbook.
MSE opened “District E powered by Ticketmaster” in the spring of 2023, a flagship esports and entertainment venue. This 14,000-square-foot live-event theater offers a 365-day-a-year series of immersive experiences in esports, music, culinary excellence, event programming, and community events.

Position Overview:
The EVS Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of an EVS XT-Go system in a live studio environment. This role will work with a wide variety of personnel to plan and implement optimum editing, archiving, and playback strategies for productions.

Responsibilities:
- Work with the Engineering Department on efforts related to EVS processes, updates, and technical questions.
- Provide insight and direction to freelance EVS operators on workflow and standard procedures.
- Manage multiple EVS XT-Go machines to ensure appropriate space is available on each machine and that meaningful material is archived in a systematic way.
- Meet with show producers and directors to determine the best use of the EVS for production needs.
- Operate the EVS XT-Go for programs such as pregame and postgame shows, press conferences, studio shows, and alternate broadcasts.
- Edit game highlights and player packages with minimal direct supervision. Follow edit notes on a rundown. Edit efficiently and creatively.
- Integrate clips from additional sources such as Adobe Premiere and Chyron Paint into highlight packages.
- Use a router to ensure accurate sourcing of video feeds.
- Understand how to use the EVS network to navigate to machines in other areas of the facility.
- Use X-File software to retrieve and archive clips.
- Troubleshoot problems as they occur and report equipment issues to Engineering.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience operating the EVS for professional broadcasts.
- Knowledge of live television production processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment requiring quick-turnaround of video feeds.
- Outstanding troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- An interest in sports and MSE’s teams.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay Rate: $71.94 USD/hour

Position Overview: Monumental Sports & Entertainment is seeking a dynamic Live Events Camera Operator with a genuine passion for sports. In this role, you'll use innovative camera systems to capture thrilling moments from the sidelines of high-energy sports events. As a Camera Operator - Live Games, you'll play a crucial role in delivering the Producer and Director's vision to our audience by identifying and capturing exceptional shots. A deep understanding of various sports, including key players, rules, infractions, and strategies, is crucial.

Responsibilities:
- Operate Studio configured and hand held broadcast cameras.
- Build hard cameras for live television productions.
- Operate camera during live events.
- Understanding of ENG audio.
- Set up monitors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have knowledge of NHL, NBA, WNBA, NCAA Basketball television production.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience consisting of 3 years Television Production Experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay Range: $60.89-65.89 USD/hour
