Job Summary

The Senior Front-end Engineer is required to produce and implement functional software solutions for web clients. You will be using the react js application framework. 

Experience with these frameworks is an added advantage but you can apply if you have experience with similar J.S frameworks. You will work with the Enterprise Architect to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. 

In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. You are also required to have hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies. Your primary goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business goals.

About the role

We are hiring a senior Generalist Engineer for our Research & Development Team who can own problems end to end and deliver complete production systems, not just components. This is a broad, high-ownership role for an engineer who can operate across software, distributed systems, infrastructure, data, and, where useful, machine learning, moving from vague problem statements to clear designs, robust implementations, reliable deployment, and effective operation in production.

Success in this role requires strong first-principles thinking, sound technical judgment, deep debugging ability, and the willingness to work across boundaries to get the job done. What you’ll get to do

• Lead the QA function across multiple engineering teams – drive quality standards, strategies, and frameworks that scale.

Key requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, including 4–5 years leading engineering teams, with a strong track record of building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing teams.

As an Engineering Manager, you will drive the successful delivery and execution of projects within your teams. What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, and QA) to conceptualize, design, and deliver high-impact features.
• Architect and build scalable, high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a strong emphasis on reliability and testability.
• Seamlessly integrate third-party services and APIs, ensuring robust error handling and graceful degradation.
• Continuously enhance system performance and developer experience through thoughtful automation and refactoring.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues across the stack while proactively identifying opportunities for technical improvements.
• Actively contribute to code reviews and architecture discussions, promoting engineering best practices across the team.
• Maintain clear documentation of technical decisions, systems, and processes to support transparency and long-term scalability.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
• Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with a solid grasp of modern backend architecture and engineering best practices.
• Proven experience designing, building, and scaling web services, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong proficiency with relational databases and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as AngularJS or React is a plus.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities, with a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
