What the job entails:

Facilitating member appointments
Working closely with technology
Acting as a liaison between our in clinic team, and our clients
Ensuring clinic cleanliness
Staying active, to include moving and lifting packages of varying weight
Partnering with Modern Animal’s marketing team to implement local marketing efforts, including but not limited to flyering, facilitating local partnerships, and representing Modern Animal at community events
Acting as a Modern Animal brand ambassador, effectively communicating our brand and offering to potential members and partners
Identifying local marketing opportunities to drive regional membership growth
Living and modeling the Modern Animal cultural vision by encouraging work/life balance, self-compassion, and a blame- and judgement-free work environment

The pay range for this position is $22.80 - $25.20 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.

Location & Schedule

This role is based out of one of our San Francisco clinics, with some local travel for training and cross-functional meetings. Evening and weekend availability is required, as you’ll be supporting a team that works when pets need us most.

The pay range for this position is $82,500 - $112,750 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Requirements of a Relief Veterinarian:

Must have active license to practice veterinary medicine in California at the start of relief shifts with Modern Animal
License must be in good standing with no malpractice or disciplinary actions
Must hold personal DEA license
Must maintain personal liability insurance
A paid training shift is required before scheduling any relief shifts. This structured onboarding shift ensures that relief doctors are well-prepared to navigate our EMR system and understand general clinic workflows for a successful start.

The pay range for this position is $1,400 - $1,650 per 10 hour shift; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
