Overview

The Senior Technology Services Analyst is the first and primary point of contact within the Technology department for Major League Baseball’s internal staff and external partners, and as such, this role demands premiere technical and customer service skills, professionalism, and initiative to get problems resolved quickly and efficiently.  The role is also accountable for deploying and maintaining mission critical collaboration, productivity, and work management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technology support, including, but not limited to, answering inbound calls, resolving request and incident tickets, staffing our technology desk, addressing end user issues in person and remotely with punctuality, courtesy, and professionalism, and escalating problems and major incidents promptly
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Apple and Microsoft Windows-based user equipment, including, but not limited to, desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, printers, and peripherals such as monitors, keyboards, and mice.
• Support AV and conference room technology and events as needed.
• Open support cases and troubleshoot and resolve vendor equipment and platform issues as needed
• Contribute to maintaining a meaningful and relevant set of knowledge base articles for end users and technology staff, including, but not limited to, onboarding / offboarding guides, troubleshooting guides for common and unique issues and circumstances, internal team and external vendor contact, support, and escalation guides, and general operational runbooks
• Participate as needed in duties and responsibilities specific to your department’s operations, including, but not limited to, attending and supporting town halls, department, and team meetings, participating in routine 1:1s with supervisors, and completing timesheets accurately and punctually
• Be available to work a flexible schedule that includes non-standard hours (aka, before 9 AM or after 5 PM local time), as well as providing coverage on weekends and holidays
• Be available to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally to support events, branch offices, and youth academies
• Demonstrate an ongoing interest in personal development, including technology training and certifications, specialization of platform and service delivery, automating routine and error prone tasks, and consistently exceed our end users' expectations
• Support deployment, usage, integrations, incident and problem troubleshooting and remediation, and managing the overall service levels for accountable platforms and services
• Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and effectiveness through automation, new platforms and optimizations to existing platforms and vendor relationships, and policy and process changes for routine tasks, such as onboarding, offboarding, new hire / new user training
• Mentor, train, and lead by example to existing and new members of the team, including staff, contractors, freelancers, and interns

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in a computer technology capacity such as Computer Science, IT, Broadcast Technology, or equivalent work experience
• Prior experience working in the sports industry is helpful
• Minimum of 5-7years’ experience in end-user technology support in a medium or large enterprise environment

Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus

The Technical Operations Manager will lead MLB's Tier 1 streaming support team, ensuring the round-the-clock reliability and performance of MLB's live and on-demand video products. This role is responsible for managing a team of Technical Operations Analysts, driving operational excellence, and serving as an escalation point and cross-functional liaison across Engineering, SRE, Network Operations, and Baseball Operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can balance day-to-day team management with a strategic focus on process improvement and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of Technical Operations Analysts, including hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and professional development
• Own shift scheduling and coverage planning to maintain 24/7 support operations, including nights and weekends
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or high-severity incidents affecting MLB's streaming platform
• Monitor overall service health across Media Pipeline, Consumer Streams, Platform Availability, CDNs/Traffic Steering, and Failover/Disaster Recovery domains
• Lead post-incident reviews and drive the identification of root causes, corrective actions, and systemic improvements
• Partner with SRE, Baseball Operations, Network Operations, and Media Product & Software Engineering to resolve recurring issues and close feedback loops
• Develop and refine team processes, runbooks, and escalation playbooks to improve response time and consistency
• Track and report on team KPIs including incident response time, resolution rate, and service availability metrics
• Foster a collaborative team culture focused on knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and high accountability

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field or work experience
• 4+ years of experience in technical support or operations roles, with a focus on streaming media products
• 1–2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity managing technical teams, including shift-based or 24/7 environments
• Deep understanding of streaming technologies including CDNs, video QoS/QoE tooling, and media pipeline architecture
• Proven ability to manage escalations, coordinate cross-functional response, and drive incidents to resolution
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to represent technical context to both engineering teams and senior leadership
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as part of a 24/7 support team

Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000 (Base Salary + Bonus)

MLB is currently seeking part-time seasonal Gameday Monitors for the upcoming 2026 Major League Baseball season to provide quality assurance for live video and audio streams on MLB.TV. Ideal candidates will be available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week and must possess MLB’s core competencies in areas such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking and relationship management.

Please note, Gameday Monitors will work remotely and must have a keen attention to detail, strong writing skills and will need to be actively engaged with their teammates during each shift.

Responsibilities 

• Monitor assigned home and away broadcast feeds in accordance to the daily gameday schedule. These feeds include but are not limited to pre and post game shows, audio streams and regional broadcasts for each designated game
• Adhere to quality control guidelines and procedures without frequent supervision
• Communicate gameday related issues immediately to the appropriate teams
• Provide detailed reports that recap any issues that occurred during the game.

Requirements

• A flexible schedule tied to the Major League Baseball season with availability on nights, weekends, and holidays is a must
• A minimum of 25 hours per week is required for this position, no exceptions
• Reliable WiFi, stable hardwire and home broadband network connection is essential
• Ownership of at least 3 streaming devices such as a smart television, tablet, computer (PC and/or Mac), Apple or Android phone, Xbox, Playstation 5, Chromecast, etc. is preferred
• Excellent communication skills to relay any issues or troubleshooting concerns to the appropriate channels is required
• Ideal candidates are comfortable working in highly visible positions

Desired

• Familiar with MLB.com, MiLB.TV, MLB.TV, MLB At Bat and other streaming services
• Experienced with providing quality assurance in digital media roles
• Avid baseball viewers with a strong knowledge of the game are encouraged to apply
• Prior sports industry experience is a plus

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
