- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop end-to-end data pipelines and foundational data sets
- Design and own data architecture for large-scale projects while managing operational trade-offs
- Build and optimize sophisticated data pipelines, models, and visualizations across multiple domains
- Define and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all owned data sets
- Implement data security models, ensure privacy compliance, and evolve data governance processes

What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field
- master's degree is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, data warehousing, and ETL tools, working with large data sets in the cloud
- 5+ years of experience with Python, and experience building scalable Big Data solutions and ETL ecosystems
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT, and data modeling, with extensive experience in Snowflake and dbt
- Hands-on experience with RDBMS such as MySQL, MS SQL Server (optional), and Postgres
- Familiarity with integration tools like Airflow and Automic, along with a working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to deliver high standards of code quality, system reliability, and performance
- Deep understanding of the modern IaC ecosystem to drive automated infrastructure deployments
- Experience with cloud computing services, preferably AWS, including hands-on experience with services like Glue, Airflow (MWAA), DMS, EKS, and SNS
While not required, these are a plus:

Metropolis is seeking a Senior Manager of Machine Learning Engineering within the Advanced Technologies Group to lead the technical vision and execution of our foundational systems that power our next generation of AI. You will oversee 4 critical pillars within the Machine Learning org:data engineering, annotation pipelines, ML Infrastructure and Deployment of Agentic AI solutions. You are a hands-on, senior technical leader with a broad dynamic range, capable of providing high-level strategic direction while remaining technically proficient enough to dive into the weeds with your team. Your mission is to transition state-of-art models into robust, autonomous production systems that automate complex enterprise workflows.You will partner closely with internal engineering teams and external vendors to build the scalable tools and data pipelines that define the future of recognition economy.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain scalable, compliant and auditable data infrastructure to serve computer vision and AI pricing use cases
- Build scalable data engineering pipelines and automated annotation workflows (LLM-in-the-loop) to reduce reliance on manual labeling and accelerate model iteration
- Own the MLOps lifecycle, including distributed training infrastructure, model registries, and low-latency inference services. Ensure high availability and observability for all deployed models
- Define technical direction, lead and grow a high-performance team of data and ML infrastructure engineers to influence impactful business outcomes
- Develop foundational systems to productionize agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs) solutions for workflow automation to enhance our products

What we're looking for
- 10+ years of professional experience in data and machine learning engineering with proven expertise in building enterprise-scale, auditable ETL pipelines and data governance mechanisms
- 5+ years of experience in leadership and management, ideally having managed other managers
- MS or PhD in computer science and/or a quantitative discipline
- Strong experience in distributed data processing like Apache Spark, Kafka, Cloud native data storage and processing services
- 1+ years experience building data /eval pipelines and deploying agentic AI solutions (LLMs and/or VLMs)
- Experience managing technical programs, defining milestones, and communicating progress to diverse audiences
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Strong proficiency with SQL and Python

Metropolis is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop and expand our revenue forecasting and dynamic pricing systems. This position is part of the machine learning team within the Advanced Technology Group (ATG) and directly influences key business metrics, including revenue, utilization, and customer demand. In this role, you will design and implement models that predict demand, analyze price–demand relationships, and develop pricing strategies. This is a highly impactful role with significant ownership over data, modeling, and infrastructure systems.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and productionize demand forecasting models optimized for different business goals (e.g., visits, revenue, availability)
- Innovate and improve Machine Learning models for price elasticity, time series, and probabilistic models for revenue optimization
- Design and build end-to-end data pipelines to support large-scale production usage

Who you are
Metropolis is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Engineering and Analytics team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for creating value using data and a strong foundation in all aspects of analytics engineering. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in making data accessible and actionable, facilitating informed decision-making throughout the company. You will partner and lead across multiple product team functions and domains and drive impact through your data vision and architecture.
What you'll do
- Design and implement large-scale data warehouses and data marts using Snowflake, Star, or Data Vault 2.0 schemas
- Build and maintain data transformation pipelines using SQL frameworks like dbt to abstract model code
- Write complex SQL including window functions and STRUCT/ARRAY manipulations while adhering to performance best practices
- Manage and optimize DAGs, including troubleshooting task failures and improving run times
- Implement metadata management, data lineage, and security principles such as least-privilege access
- Use a test-driven approach to design systems that trap poor quality data and trigger alerts within the data flow
- Partner with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to own project scopes
- Mentor others on data best practices to drive impact through your data vision
- Provide architectural guidance to ensure data is accessible and actionable across the company
- Drive technical excellence within the data engineering and analytics domain
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience in data/analytics engineering with proficiency in Python and SQL within Snowflake
- 3+ years of experience with dbt
- Owned large-scale data projects that drove significant impact through effective cross-functional partnering
- Led the design, implementation, and monitoring of data warehouses that enable clear product-focused insights
- Expert at SQL, window functions, and query optimization for complex data manipulations
- Applied performance best practices, including partitions, sort keys, and incremental modeling
- Designed systems using test-driven approaches to ensure data quality and flow integrity
- Familiarity with ELT processes and tools to prepare and clean data for analysis
- Skill in using tools like dbt to build data transformation pipelines
- Experience mentoring stakeholders in Data Science, Analytics, PM, and Engineering on data best practices
While not required, these are a plus:
- A dbt certification

When you join Metropolis, you'll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $130,000.00 USD to $175,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment.
