Merge is looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive complex, technical initiatives across our engineering organization. You'll be responsible for leading large-scale projects that enhance our product and infrastructure, working closely with engineering teams to ensure successful delivery while managing stakeholder relationships across the organization.
What you will do:
- Work closely with the R&D leadership (incl. Head of Engineering, Head of Security, Product Management, etc.) to ensure projects are executed effectively and meet deadlines
- Drive new products and features through the development process, serving as a central source of truth for the who, why, what, when, and how of projects you manage
- Develop the requirements to deliver projects successfully by working backwards from target outcomes
- Be a driving force in the organization of customer requests and issues, and collaborate with team leads to balance them against larger product initiatives
- Manage the lifecycle of Engineering tasks and projects, and collaborate cross functionally with stakeholders across the whole company
- Contribute to the maturation of internal tooling and processes that accelerate our teams and simplify delivery execution
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years experience driving technical projects in professional settings, with technical program management experience being a plus
- Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects in an a fast-paced and frequently evolving environment
- Leadership experience that exemplifies curiosity, compassion, and empathy
- Ability to engage in technical discussion and invest in learning technical concepts
- Computer Science background or other technical / quantitative orientation
- Prior startup experience is a plus
- The cash compensation range for this role is $115,000 - $145,000.

We are hiring backend and full stack engineers at the senior level on the Experience Engineering team. The team is a full stack, product engineering team with a mission to make Merge’s powerful product feel seamless and intuitive to use. This team owns all customer-facing surfaces with the goal to deliver a reliable, developer-friendly, and cohesive experience across all of them. We are hiring for mid - to staff - level positions, with candidate evaluation based on a combination of relevant experience and performance in the interview process.
- Participate in roadmapping and architecture discussions

Who are we looking for?
Merge is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a core Growth product area focused on helping customers unlock and expand the value of the Merge Unified API.
You will lead a team of 10+ engineers who own the customer expansion experience and a critical product line, and be responsible for both execution and org design. We’re looking for a hands-on, product-oriented leader who can operate in ambiguity, stay close to the technical details, and drive high-velocity execution in a startup environment.
What you will do:
- Lead and scale a high-impact engineering team of 10+ engineers focused on Growth and customer expansion
- Own the roadmap for a core product area, translating company priorities into fast, iterative execution
- Partner closely with product, design, GTM, and leadership to drive initiatives like unified expansion, enterprise search, and AI-powered workflows

The Ideal candidate will have:
- 7 to 10+ years of engineering experience with 3+ years in management

- Track record of owning or significantly influencing product outcomes, not just technical delivery
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a hands-on leader, comfortable going deep in both product and technical decisions
- Experience building and scaling teams, with interest and potential to grow into managing managers
- Strong product instincts, with the ability to prioritize, make tradeoffs, and drive toward business impact
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity in evolving problem spaces

Compensation

Merge is looking for a driven Partner Operations Manager…
- Merge already powers integrations inside thousands of products. The next step is making Merge available everywhere developers and AI agents are already building: inside workflow platforms, agent frameworks, cloud marketplaces, and partner ecosystems. We are hiring a founding engineer to own this surface area. You will build the integrations that bring Merge into popular third-party platforms, and you will build the core product features that make those integrations possible. This is not about adding connectors to Merge's existing catalog. This is about expanding where and how Merge gets used by embedding our capabilities into the ecosystems that matter most.
- Build production integrations that bring Merge into third-party ecosystems: agent builders, workflow automation platforms, cloud marketplaces, and developer toolchains
- Design and ship core product features that unlock new distribution channels and allow Merge to operate natively in environments beyond our own dashboard and API
- Collaborate directly with external partner engineering teams to scope technical requirements, build joint integrations, and get Merge into partner storefronts and marketplaces
- Own the full lifecycle of partnership integrations from architecture and prototyping through submission, review, and production launch
- Identify and build the abstractions, SDKs, and developer surfaces that make it faster to integrate Merge into the next platform, reducing time-to-launch for each new ecosystem partnership
- Work closely with the partnerships, product, and GTM teams to prioritize which ecosystems to enter based on customer demand, strategic value, and technical feasibility
- 4-7+ years of full-time software engineering experience
- Experience building integrations into or on top of third-party platforms (e.g., marketplace apps, plugins, workflow nodes, agent tools, or platform extensions)
- Deep familiarity with API design, authentication patterns (OAuth 2.0, API keys), and the developer experience of consuming and exposing APIs
- An ability to perform in a fast-paced environment dealing with ambiguous technical challenges. Many of the ecosystems you build for will have immature documentation, evolving specs, or no precedent for what you are shipping
- Experience with Python
- Extensive knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres preferred)
- A product-minded approach to engineering. You care about why something is being built, not just how, and you can make scope and prioritization tradeoffs without waiting for a spec
Compensation

As the Director of Security at Merge, you will manage our security programs, including infrastructure, compliance, and security automation. While you don’t need specific experience with all of the above, we’d expect you to be excited to learn and grow, and tackle any challenges that may come your way.
What you will do:
- Create and drive the security roadmap
- Manage our compliance automation programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc.). We’ve already achieved these using Drata, and while you have a team to support you, you will take the lead.

- Manage our Bug Bounty Program
- Implement security controls across Merge, from infrastructure to CI

The ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years of security engineering experience
- Ownership or leadership within areas of security at previous organizations, infosec being a plus
- An overall excitement around building a more secure engineering function and organization
- Ability to manage security programs
- Experience with and a desire to code in at least one major programming language
- A thorough understanding of networking and infrastructure, including load balancing, VPNs, Zero Trust, HTTPS, DNS, etc.
- Experience with multi-tenant cloud environments
