We are seeking a Communications Manager (TEMP) who will own the execution of class launches, press operations, and internal communications across a fast-moving, cross-functional environment. This is a 5-month assignment and hourly role ($70–$74/hr) for a hands-on operator who thrives in the details while keeping the bigger picture in view.

What You Will Do: 

• Own the communications workflow for all class launches in partnership with our external agency: creative ideation, press strategy, drafting press materials, supporting instructor calls, and coordinating instructor interviews to secure earned media coverage across traditional press, podcasts, creator platforms, and newsletters/Substacks
• Support the company's thought leadership efforts: secure speaking engagements and media placements including features, interviews, and podcast appearances
• Drive ongoing proactive press outreach: holiday gift guides, promotional campaigns, and real-time trendjacking to insert MasterClass offerings into timely conversations
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to drive efficiency: drafting press materials, generating first-pass content, and streamlining

About You (Requirements):

• Proven experience in communications/PR with demonstrated results securing earned media coverage
• Strong operator with a track record of building reliable, repeatable processes in fast-paced environments
• Proficient in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to accelerate content creation, research, and communications workflows
• Exceptional writer with experience drafting press releases, internal communications, and executive-facing materials
• Confident cross-functional collaborator who can work effectively with legal, marketing, creative, and instructor teams
• Highly organized with sharp attention to detail and strong judgment on how to prioritize across competing deadlines
• Comfortable owning Slack channels, project management tools (e.g., Asana), and asset management platforms

We are looking for a Staff ML Engineer to join our AI engineering team and help define and deliver these products. This role is ultimately about delivery. You will be expected to stay deeply connected to the latest research, models, and techniques, but the measure of success is shipping products that people use. You will work alongside a small, talented group of ML engineers and partner closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to shape what AI-powered learning looks like at MasterClass.

What You Will Do:

• Design and build agentic AI systems that power consumer learning products, including multi-step reasoning, tool use, and orchestration architectures.
• Select and integrate foundation models (LLMs, multimodal) based on product requirements, making pragmatic trade-offs between quality, latency, cost, and safety.
• Build evaluation and observability frameworks that ensure AI product quality at scale, including automated testing, human-in-the-loop review, and production monitoring.
• Architect reliable, production-grade AI pipelines, including prompt management, context retrieval (RAG), caching, and fallback strategies.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate ambiguous product goals into well-defined technical approaches and ship features end-to-end.
• Stay deeply current with the foundation model landscape—new models, techniques, agentic frameworks, and research—and bring that knowledge to bear on product decisions.
• Mentor and elevate the AI engineering team by sharing best practices, leading design reviews, and establishing reusable patterns for agentic product development.

About You (Requirements):

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years focused on building products with large language models or foundation models.
• Demonstrated experience shipping consumer-facing AI products that use agentic patterns (tool use, multi-step reasoning, orchestration, planning).
• Deep working knowledge of the current foundation model ecosystem: model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source), prompt engineering, RAG architectures, evaluation frameworks, and orchestration tooling.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: system design, API design, production observability, and the ability to write clean, maintainable code in Python.
• Track record of staying on the cutting edge—you can point to specific ways you’ve incorporated new research, models, or techniques into shipped products.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; experience working cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with model fine-tuning or distillation (SFT, DPO, RLHF).
• Background in edtech, consumer media, or content platforms.
• Published research or open-source contributions in AI/ML.
• Experience with multi-agent system design or advanced orchestration frameworks.

We’re looking for a Staff Infrastructure  Engineer who operates as a technical leader and force multiplier across the platform. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who designs systems that scale beyond a single team, sets technical direction, and elevates how infrastructure is built and operated across MasterClass.

You’ll lead and provide direction for  cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, video infrastructure, and emerging AI/ML infrastructure—partnering closely with product engineering, content production, data, and AI teams. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep systems expertise with strong software engineering, thrives in ambiguity, and takes ownership from strategy through execution.

This is not a people-management role, but it carries significant technical leadership responsibility.

What You Will Do:

• Set technical direction for core infrastructure systems, balancing reliability, scalability, security, and developer velocity.
• Design and lead implementation of complex, cross-team infrastructure initiatives (AWS, EKS, CI/CD, shared platforms).
• Build production-grade software to power infrastructure automation, tooling, and internal platforms.
• Drive org-wide improvements in observability, incident response, reliability engineering, and cost efficiency.
• Lead video infrastructure initiatives  to evolve video delivery and CDN strategies for global scale and performance.
• Partner with AI and Data teams to define and build GPU-powered infrastructure, model-serving platforms, and GenAI inference/training workflows.
• Act as a technical mentor and reviewer, raising the bar for infrastructure design and operational excellence across teams.
• Lead by example during incidents, postmortems, and critical architectural decisions.

About You (Requirements):

• 10+ years building and operating cloud-native production systems.
• Strong expertise in:
  • AWS architecture and large-scale cloud operations
  • Kubernetes / EKS (networking, RBAC, Helm, autoscaling, cluster-level debugging)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • CI/CD and automation (GitHub Actions, Argo, or similar)
• Proven ability to design and build infrastructure software, not just operate systems.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, Linux internals, and cloud security.

About the Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Learning Experience Designer to craft a premium, high-impact course for business executives—one that both educates and entertains. Unlike typical instructional design roles, this position calls for a creative producer and strategic thinker who can shape the vision, strategy, and narrative of a course from concept through execution.

You’ll collaborate closely with instructors, subject matter experts, and internal teams to design a transformative learning journey, and you’ll be responsible for writing much of the final course content—so strong editorial, storytelling, and copywriting skills are essential.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, thinks like a systems designer, and brings a writer’s precision to educational storytelling.

This is a temporary full time role - 40 hours per week. 4-6 month engagement.

What You Will Do: 

• Lead the end-to-end design of the course, from initial strategy to final content delivery
• Guide the course narrative in partnership  with the Executive Producer & Supervising Producer
• Own scripting, copywriting, and the creation of educational assets (e.g., learning modules, assessments, reflection prompts, supplemental materials) 
• Act as a strategic partner to instructors and the Executive Producer —collaborating across research, insights, video production, product, and design to shape cohesive learning experiences
• Conduct desk and user research to inform course goals, learner personas, and curriculum structure
• Translate a complex, high-level topic  into clear, engaging, and outcome-driven learning journey
• Iterate on the course  using learner data, feedback, and performance metrics
• Manage the feedback and revision process across internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with visual designers and product teams to ensure learning content is visually compelling, cohesive, and engaging

About You:

• 5+ years of experience in content development, learning experience design, or instructional storytelling, ideally within media, publishing, edtech, or agency environments
• Exceptional writing skills—you’re a strong editorial thinker with experience producing high-quality content for external audiences 
• Proven ability to design engaging learning experiences across diverse media formats (video, written content, assessments, interactive assets, etc.)
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working independently to shape structure and direction with limited inputs
• Strong grasp of learner-centered design principles and the ability to think systematically about how people learn

Role Overview:

We are seeking an independent contractor who is an AI Content Creator / Artist / Technical Artist that will provide generative AI services to help us push the boundaries of what’s possible with next-generation AI content. In this engagement, we will need an individual who will use their own cutting-edge AI tools (e.g., Runway, Veo, Midjourney, and ElevenLabs) to produce and deliver premium creative assets for our scale high-quality productions.

This is an independent contractor engagement, where you determine where, when and how to complete the work for MasterClass’s project needs.

What You Will Do

• Produce videos and multimedia content from concept through final export.

• Apply prompt engineering and technical workflows (LoRA, ComfyUI, etc.) to deliver innovative creative results.

• Automate rapid prototyping and production processes using tools like n8n and the Google ecosystem.

• Stay abreast of emerging AI tools to continually improve production capabilities.

About You

• 5+ years of experience in content creation, post-production, or technical artistry.

• Proven experience with AI creative tools (Runway, Veo, Midjourney, ElevenLabs).

• Strong understanding of editing and compositing platforms (Premiere, After Effects, Resolve, or similar).

• Hands-on expertise with advanced AI workflows (LoRA, ComfyUI, custom pipelines).

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects.

Nice to Have

• Experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Google Workspace automation).
