Manager, Developer Documentation & Experience
As Marqeta’s Manager, Developer Documentation and Experience you will lead our documentation team and evolve how we deliver developer experiences at scale. This role goes beyond traditional technical writing. You will define how complex financial systems are translated into clear, actionable guidance and ensure our documentation is structured around real customer use cases, not just technical endpoints. You will own documentation strategy, information architecture, and content quality across APIs, SDKs, and platform surfaces. In close partnership with Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams, you will ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and aligned to how developers actually build on Marqeta.
Documentation is a core part of the Marqeta product experience. It is often the first touchpoint for developers and plays a critical role in how quickly they can integrate, launch, and scale. High-quality documentation builds trust, reduces friction, and directly impacts developer adoption and long-term customer success.
This role comes at a pivotal moment as we expand our platform and invest in AI-driven workflows to improve how content is created, maintained, and consumed. You will play a key role in shaping how AI is applied to scale content, improve discoverability, and enhance the overall developer experience.
We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within Ontario or British Columbia, Canada. We’d love for you to join us!

The Impact You’ll Have
- Lead and develop a team of technical writers, fostering a high bar for clarity, quality, and customer impact.
- Define and drive documentation strategy, standards, and information architecture across the platform.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Support to document features as they are built.
- Improve developer onboarding and reduce time to integration through structured, high-quality documentation.
- Identify gaps in APIs, SDKs, and workflows through documentation and developer feedback.
- Contribute to a cohesive developer experience across documentation, SDKs, and platform surfaces.
- Drive innovation in tooling, automation, and AI-driven content workflows.
- Use data and feedback to continuously improve content quality, coverage, and discoverability.
Who You Are
- 8+ years in technical writing or developer documentation, with 2+ years in leadership.
- Experience delivering documentation for APIs, SDKs, or complex platform products.
- Strong information architecture and content strategy skills, with experience scaling documentation systems.
- Ability to translate complex systems into clear, concise, and actionable guidance.
- Proficiency with Markdown, Git, and modern documentation tools.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
- A mindset focused on developer experience, usability, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in payments, fintech, or enterprise SaaS
- Familiarity with backend languages (Python, Go, Java, Node)
- Experience with large-scale documentation systems and information architecture
- Experience with AI-driven or automated documentation workflows
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience building or scaling developer portals or self-service platforms.
- Familiarity with onboarding flows, sandbox environments, or API-first ecosystems.
- Experience partnering with Developer Relations or developer-facing teams.
- Background in content analytics, SEO, or improving content discoverability.

Senior Product Manager - Dashboard & Enterprise Operational Platforms
Marqeta is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Marqeta Dashboard & Enterprise Operational Platforms to lead the strategy, development, and evolution of the systems that power financial operations at scale. This role owns the Marqeta Dashboard, the core operational interface used by customers, bank partners, and internal teams to manage card programs, investigate transactions, handle disputes, and monitor performance.
You will build the tooling that enables operations teams to run financial products efficiently and securely, transforming complex workflows into intuitive, scalable systems. This includes opportunities to introduce AI-driven automation, improve operational visibility, and reduce manual effort across the platform. You’ll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Risk, Compliance, CX, and Data teams to deliver high-impact solutions that sit at the center of how Marqeta operates.
The Marqeta Dashboard is where operations happen. It is how customers run their programs, resolve issues, and gain control over their financial products. The Impact You’ll Have
- Define and drive the roadmap for the Marqeta Dashboard and enterprise operational platforms
- Build tools that streamline workflows across:
- Card and account management
- Transaction investigation
- Disputes and servicing
- Operational controls and monitoring
- Deliver dashboards and reporting that provide real-time operational visibility
- Design systems that support secure, compliant financial operations (identity, permissions, governance)
- Integrate with enterprise systems (CRM, case management, support tooling, data platforms)
- Identify and deliver AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
- Partner closely with Engineering and Design to ship intuitive, workflow-driven experiences
- Translate operational pain points into scalable product solutions
Who You Are
- 5-8+ years of product management experience building enterprise software or operational platforms, with a focus on tools for operations teams (support, risk, disputes, program management)
- Strong technical product leadership — experience working closely with Engineering and Design on complex systems, with proven ability to simplify workflows into clear, scalable product solutions
- Operational systems expertise — hands-on experience building operational dashboards, case management systems, or support tooling; familiarity with platforms like Salesforce, Zendesk, or ServiceNow is a plus
- Domain knowledge in regulated environments — experience with disputes, fraud, or compliance-related workflows, with comfort operating in fast-moving, highly regulated settings
- Strategic execution skills — strong ability to define product strategy, prioritize roadmaps, balance competing priorities, and drive end-to-end execution
- Exceptional product judgment — able to balance customer needs, compliance requirements, and technical constraints while maintaining focus on business impact
- Cross-functional collaboration — excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; operate comfortably across technical, operational, and business teams with ability to influence without authority

Marqeta is seeking a Senior Product Manager for SDKs, Developer Platform & Documentation to lead the strategy and evolution of the developer platform that powers how customers build on Marqeta. You will own the end-to-end developer experience across Mobile and Web SDKs, APIs, and documentation, ensuring developers can easily discover, integrate, test, and scale financial capabilities.
Your scope includes iOS, Android, and Web SDKs; API platforms; developer tooling; authentication and identity; developer portals; onboarding flows; sandbox environments; and documentation systems. You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Developer Relations, Documentation, Security, Design, and Solutions Engineering, as well as directly with customers, to deliver a platform that is intuitive, reliable, and scalable. This role requires strong technical fluency and product judgment to improve developer experience, reduce integration time, and drive platform adoption.

- SDK and API expertise — hands-on experience with SDK architecture, lifecycle management, and crafting intuitive APIs that developers actually want to integrate
- Developer experience obsessed — proven ability to improve onboarding flows, enhance API usability, and create documentation that turns complexity into clarity
