Do you want to help create a smooth, professional employee experience in a fast-moving, international setup? As our People Operations Partner in Bangkok, you’ll own key employee lifecycle operations in the region and help land consistent global People processes locally. You’ll be the on-site go-to for operational People topics, with support and sparring from the wider People Experience team. 

What will your day look like?

In this role, you’ll be at the center of the employee lifecycle in Bangkok, ensuring People processes are smooth, accurate and on time and that local requirements are handled correctly. You’ll partner closely with our Regional Operations Director – APAC and collaborate with the local VML Thailand team to get contracts, changes and employee processes executed. Your key tasks include: 

• Coordinate recruitment efforts locally in close collaboration with hiring managers, talent acquisition and the local VML Thailand team 
• Own and coordinate employee lifecycle operations (joiners, changes/movers, leavers) 
• Coordinate contract signing and employment documentation with local partners (e.g., offer/contract, addendums for role/salary changes) 
• Trigger and coordinate key local employee processes (e.g., probation review coordination with operations and local partners, ensuring local requirements are followed) 
• Coordinate resignation/offboarding administration, including calculating end dates and ensuring required local resignation documentation is completed correctly 
• Coordinate local employee documentation requests with local partners (e.g., employment certificates, payslips) 
• Support coordination of local benefits administration with the local VML Thailand team 
• Maintain HR system data quality and documentation compliance, ensuring accurate records and clean documentation practices 

This is a 1-year fixed-term position to start. 

Who are you going to work with?

You will be part of our People Experience team of around 20 colleagues. While our headquarters are in Copenhagen, Denmark, the People team is distributed globally across regions, supporting a highly international organization with colleagues from many different backgrounds. As the business continues to develop, our ways of working and People processes evolve alongside it, so you can expect variety, a fast pace and plenty of opportunities to learn and improve how things are done. 

In Bangkok, you’ll work closely with our Regional Operations Director – APAC and collaborate day-to-day with the local VML Thailand team. Even though you’ll be the only People Operations person on-site, you’ll have strong support and sparring from the People Experience teams in EMEA and the Americas. As part of a global team, you should expect some flexibility in working hours occasionally to join alignment meetings across time zones. 

What do you bring to the table?

You enjoy coordination and operational work, take pride in accuracy and can manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. You are structured, proactive and comfortable handling confidential information with discretion. In addition, you: 

• 3 – 4+ years of experience from a People Operations or HR operations/coordinator role and familiarity with Thai law and regulations 
• Are proficient in written and verbal English 
• Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a clear follow-through mindset 
• Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally 
• Are confident working with systems and data (HRIS experience is a plus) 
• Have solid Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel) and enjoy learning new tools
