Position Objective
The Clinical Supervisor directly supervises staff and is a clinical expert practitioner specific to the unit at education/staff development functions as well as designated management functions to promote high quality, cost effective health care.
This position has authority to perform supervisory duties including but not limited to hiring, evaluating performance, issuing final disciplinary actions under the review of Human Resources, and recommending discharge in collaboration with members of management and Human Resources

To provide and supervise assigned personnel personal asset protection for patients, visitors and employees throughout the Medical Center facility, and to prevent any potentially hazardous conditions through continuous monitoring of all areas. This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day security operations and performs duties to ensure its smooth operation as required. Orients, trains, schedules, monitors, and provides direction to staff.

1. This position has authority to perform supervisory duties including but not limited to hiring, evaluating performance, issuing final disciplinary actions under the review of Human Resources, and recommending discharge in collaboration with members of management and Human Resources. Participates in meetings, committees or other work groups as necessary.
2. Responsible for the supervision of all Officers including performance evaluation, continuous coaching, training, disciplinary action, and retention. Manages Officers daily productivity through established department goals and objectives.
3. Conducts regular rounding throughout the facility, especially the ER, campus buildings, parking garages and grounds; speaking to staff and area leaders to address any concerns regarding Safety and Security. Observes and monitors conditions, the environment, and/or persons that might require intervention or assistance.
4. Responds to safety and security incidents and emergency situations, according to department procedures, to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers; proficient in and utilizes nonviolent crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to ensure staff, patients, visitors and all others remain safe, calm, and respected while on site.
5. Prepares department daily schedule and payroll with assistance from other supervisor(s) for the Security officers and assigns responsibilities in accordance with workload requirements. This includes finding the appropriate coverage if there are call offs and being able to perform the assignments.
6. Manages the fire drill program to include the assignment of drills to Officers, drill completion, evaluation of the drill or actual alarm, on-going training, and compliance based on organizational and regulatory policies.
7. Ensures maintenance and tracking of department equipment and supplies.
8. Investigates and conducts follow-up investigations on all incident reports submitted via established hospital reporting system.
9. Collaborates with applicable law enforcement agencies relative to hospital security investigations or other campus activity as needed.
10. Assists in the development of department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Ensures compliance with hospital/facility policies and procedures and governmental and accreditation regulations.

Position Objective:
The Case Manager works under the direction of the clinical director of care management, providing coordination of care for patients at Luminis Health to support safe, seamless, timely transitions across the continuum. Utilizing a collaborative process, will identify (using quantitative and qualitative methods), assess, plan, implement and evaluate the options and services required to meet an individual’s health and health related needs, including social- determinants that affect ones’ overall wellbeing. 6. Maintains clear and concise documentation in each patient record to reflect physical and functional limitations, psychosocial characteristics, educational needs of patient & family, family/social support systems, financial, economic, and transition needs. Initiates referrals to disciplines as indicated.
7. Participates in nursing unit and department clinical outcome projects as well as process improvement initiatives of care management.
8. Identifies potential or current patient situations which require referral to other members of the health care team such as infection control, risk management, or quality management. Assures plan of care is adjusted as appropriate and that follow-up occurs. Keep leadership abreast of potential issues.
9. Utilizes all risk and predictive analytic tools such as the readmission risk tool. Applies tailored interventions to mitigate potential barriers or risk, prolonged unnecessary hospitalization and readmission prevention.
10. Maintains compliance with all regulatory standards (CMS, commercial insurers etc)
Educational/Experience Requirements:
BSN or ADN with equivalent experience. BSN must be achieved within 5 years of start date in the role
