ABOUT THE ROLE
LayerZero is redefining how value moves across chains at internet scale. Our Finance team plays a critical role in enabling this mission by building financial infrastructure that is accurate, scalable, and trusted by leadership, partners, and regulators.
We’re looking for a Controller to lead and scale our global accounting function. This role owns the integrity of our financials end-to-end — from close and reporting to controls, audit, and compliance.
You’ll work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional partners to ensure our financial operations are world-class, scalable, and audit-ready as the organization grows. This is a high-impact leadership role with visibility across the business.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Own the Core Accounting Engine
- Lead and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across all entities.
- Own the general ledger, consolidation, and financial reporting under US GAAP.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness of all financials.
Day-to-Day Accounting & Systems
- Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and core accounting workflows across systems like NetSuite, Ramp, and payroll providers.
- Drive automation and system improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Ensure subledgers and supporting schedules are clean and fully reconciled.
Crypto-Native Accounting & Complexity
- Oversee accounting for token activity, including transfers, incentives, and intercompany flows.
- Ensure alignment between on-chain activity and financial reporting.
- Develop scalable policies for digital asset accounting in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
Tax, Audit & Compliance
- Own relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and external partners.
- Lead annual audits, reviews, and compliance processes across jurisdictions.
- Ensure accounting policies align with US GAAP and evolving regulatory requirements.
Build for Scale
- Design and implement scalable accounting processes, controls, and policies.
- Identify risks, gaps, and inefficiencies — and proactively solve them.
- Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 10–15+ years of experience in accounting, with a mix of public accounting and in-house leadership experience; CPA required
- Strong expertise in US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience leading accounting in a multi-entity, high-growth environment
- Deep experience with NetSuite and scaling close processes
- Proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Strong judgment and ability to navigate complex transactions
- Clear communicator who can explain accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience at a high-growth tech, fintech, or crypto-native company
- Exposure to digital asset accounting, token models, or on-chain activity

We’re looking for a Assistant Controller to own day-to-day accounting operations and the monthly close process across our global entity structure. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who thrives on precision, structure, and operational excellence in fast-moving environments.
You’ll work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional partners to ensure our books are clean, processes are scalable, and financial reporting is reliable as the organization grows. This is a force-multiplier role with visibility across the business and the opportunity to grow into broader responsibilities over time.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Own the Core Accounting Engine
- Execute and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.
- Maintain the general ledger in NetSuite, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany activity.
- Reconcile bank accounts, corporate cards, payroll, and other balance sheet accounts.
Day-to-Day Accounting & Systems
- Own accounts payable and receivable workflows, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and payment runs using tools like Ramp.
- Partner with payroll providers (e.g., ADP) to ensure accurate payroll, benefits, bonus, and equity-related accounting.
- Maintain clean subledgers and supporting schedules that tie directly to the GL.
Crypto-Native Accounting & Complexity
- Account for token activity, including transfers, incentives, and related expense recognition, ensuring alignment between on-chain activity and the general ledger.
- Support crypto-specific accounting workflows and reconciliations as the business evolves.
- Partner with external specialists as needed on digital asset accounting considerations.
Tax, Audit & Compliance Support
- Support corporate tax filings (U.S. and international) by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.
- Work with external tax, audit, and advisory firms to support annual audits, reviews, and special projects.
- Ensure accounting policies and procedures align with US GAAP and scale with the business.
Build for Scale
- Document accounting processes and controls, creating clarity and repeatability as the team grows.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks — and proactively design better workflows and controls.
- Act as a trusted accounting partner to finance leadership and cross-functional teams.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5–8+ years of experience in accounting, ideally with a mix of public accounting and in-house experience.
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite and month-end close in a multi-entity environment.
- Hands-on experience with modern finance tools such as Ramp (or similar) and ADP (or similar payroll providers).
- Solid understanding of US GAAP, balance sheet accounting, and close best practices (CPA preferred, not required).
- Comfortable operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments where processes are built, not inherited.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and obsessed with accuracy — you close loops and don’t let issues linger.
- Clear communicator who can explain accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an intellectually curious and highly motivated intern to join our Institutional Business Development team. In this role, you will report directly to LayerZero’s Banking and Capital Markets Lead, supporting high-priority industry initiatives and customer projects at the absolute forefront of digital assets.
This role is for someone who wants to be in the room as the world’s largest financial institutions move from "pilot" to "production." You will assist in building the strategic frameworks that help banks, asset managers, and market infrastructures transition to a blockchain-native future. This is a rare opportunity to act in an advisory capacity, helping institutions navigate the complexities of building on Zero and going cross-chain.
Start and end dates are flexible and being NYC-based is required as we have a strong in-office culture.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Institutional Playbook Development: Help create the "On-Chain Playbook" for global institutions. You will help define the legal, technical, and operational steps required for a firm to launch assets on Zero or utilize LayerZero for cross-chain settlement.
- Ecosystem Activation: Act in an advisory capacity for institutions building cross-chain and on Zero. You will assist in identifying specific use cases (e.g., intraday repo, tokenized collateral, 24/7 settlement) and help them realize their business objectives.
- Strategic Project Support: Work closely with the Banking and Capital Markets Lead on "Zero-to-One" initiatives involving our financial institution customers.
- Lead Development & Mapping: Support the mapping of the institutional landscape—identifying the right stakeholders within global financial institutions to drive adoption of our stack.
- Market Intelligence: Stay on the pulse of the convergence between TradFi and DeFi. You’ll summarize regulatory shifts, competitor moves, and new trends in digital assets to inform our GTM strategies.
- Enable and Evangelize: Help create professional decks, white papers, and case studies that articulate the value of Zero and the "Omnichain" standard to institutional committees and innovation labs.

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated full-time intern to work closely with the Crypto BD team on client management, deal origination and closure, research and more. This role will support Senior BD Leads, as well as giving you a chance to lead deals of your own - the perfect opportunity to break into the crypto space, and definitely not a traditional cookie-cutter internship. This is a paid opportunity.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Business Operations Lead to join our Business Development team. This is a dynamic role that combines elements of business development operations, strategic support, and organizational management. You’ll play a crucial role in helping to streamline business processes, assist with key product launches, and manage internal and external business development (BD) initiatives.
The Business Operations Lead is designed to be a strategic enabler for this mission. By owning the operational backbone of our go-to-market engine, you will remove friction, improve execution speed, and ensure the BD team operates at peak performance. You will serve as the “glue” between BD and its cross-functional partners, abstracting away internal complexity so the revenue team can focus on what it does best: winning business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Core Business Strategy
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a strategic right hand to the Chief Business Officer. Provide hands-on advisory across CRM strategy, internal process design, team organizational op model, data insights and day-to-day operational decision making. You’ll be the CBO’s go-to partner for ensuring execution of strategic priorities throughout the year.
- Data-Driven Insights: Deliver analysis that helps inform team performance in market, product utilization, forecasting insights, and revenue trends for BD.
- Customer Prioritization: Build and maintain account/client tiering and prioritization frameworks that help BD focus on the highest-value opportunities.
Operational Execution
- Global OKR Management & Tracking: Oversee and track BD objectives and key results (OKRs), ensuring alignment with our long-term vision and strategy.
- BD Operations Management: Handle day-to-day business development operations, including pipeline management, deal flow, and forecasting, to ensure the team meets its objectives efficiently.
- BD Ops Trainings: Develop and run training sessions for the business development team, empowering them with the tools and processes needed to succeed.
- Orchestrate BD Presence: Help orchestrate LayerZero's presence in both internal and external BD activities, coordinating participation in key meetings, events, and collaborations.

WHO YOU ARE
- 3–5+ years of experience in business operations, revenue operations, sales operations, or a similar function, ideally within a tech startup, high-growth, or Web3 environment.
- Deep understanding of BD/sales operations: pipeline management, deal tracking, CRM administration, and forecasting methodologies.
- Proven ability to build and improve operational processes from the ground up (SOPs, automation, cross-functional workflows).
- Strong analytical skills with experience building dashboards, performance reports, and data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent cross-functional communication. You thrive as the connective tissue between BD, Finance, Legal, Product, and Marketing.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and ambiguity.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Solutions Architect, you are the technical owner of the customer journey from first deep‑dive through successful production deployment.
You will lead discovery, design architectures, build proof‑of‑concepts, and clearly explain how LayerZero fits into a customer’s existing stack (on‑chain, off‑chain, and AI/data systems). You’ll work closely with our FDEs and Product teams to ensure what we propose is not only compelling, but actually shippable and supportable.
This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role - not a pure slideware or support function. You’ll be expected to whiteboard, write code for demos and POCs, and speak fluently about both Web3 primitives and modern software & architecture.
LayerZero’s Solutions Architecture team is the technical front line for our go‑to‑market motion. We partner closely with Business Development, Forward Deployed Engineering, and core Product/Protocol teams to help customers design and adopt cross‑chain architectures built on LayerZero.
We engage with a wide range of organizations - from DeFi protocols and Web3 infrastructure teams, to global banks, asset managers, and enterprises exploring blockchain and AI‑driven use cases - and act as trusted advisors on interoperability, security, and system design.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with BD and Sales to qualify opportunities, run technical discovery, and map customer requirements to concrete interoperability designs.
- Design reference and bespoke architectures that integrate LayerZero with customer systems - including smart contracts, wallets/custody, trading or settlement systems, data platforms, and banking/payments rails.
- Lead technical presentations, workshops, and demos, tailoring the depth to audiences ranging from protocol engineers to C‑level executives.
- Build and validate POCs and pilot integrations, often writing or reviewing code (e.g., smart contracts, backend services, or sample apps) to prove out patterns.
- Document architectures, integration plans, and best practices, including sequence diagrams, threat models, and rollout strategies.
- Collaborate with Integrations/Forward Deployed Engineering on hand‑offs from POC to production, ensuring continuity and a clean path to scale.
- Advise on security and reliability for cross‑chain flows: failure modes, monitoring, incident response, and operational runbooks.
- Stay current on Web3 trends (L1/L2 roadmaps, bridging standards, custody, regulation) and use that knowledge to shape customer strategy.
- Gather structured field feedback and feed it back into Product and Protocol teams, influencing our roadmap and SDKs.
- Contribute to external‑facing content - sample apps, blog posts, talks, and reference architectures that help the ecosystem build better cross‑chain systems.
ABOUT YOU
- Have 5–10+ years in customer facing technical roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Platform/Infra Engineer, or Protocol Engineer.
- Have a strong grasp of blockchain fundamentals and Web3 architecture: consensus basics, L1/L2 and rollups, bridging models, wallets and signing, vaults, custody, and common DeFi patterns.
- Are comfortable reading and writing code - ideally in TypeScript, Rust, Go, and/or Solidity - and can quickly understand someone else’s stack.
- Have deep experience with integration architecture patterns and APIs (REST/gRPC/WebSockets, webhooks, event streams, OAuth/identity, etc.).
- Can explain complex technical concepts simply, adapting your language for engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.

ABOUT THE ROLE
LayerZero builds infrastructure so any asset, application, or company can use crypto rails at internet scale. We’re reinventing how value moves online by solving for interoperability amongst blockchains – a problem we believe the world will value in trillions.
We’re looking for a Vertical Marketing Manager – Institutions to create the content and campaigns that help banks, asset managers, fintechs, and other enterprise audiences understand and adopt crypto. You’ll produce the materials that make it into boardrooms, get forwarded to decision-makers, and shape not just how institutions think about tokenization, digital assets, and blockchain integration, but how they implement it.
This is a content-driven role with a clear goal: find the right institutional audiences, care what matters to them, and deliver targeted campaigns and events that lead to action. You’ll work closely with Business Development and Investor Relations to refine messaging through real sales conversations, create assets for every stage of the funnel, and influence legacy institutions to tokenize the right way.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

Produce Best-in-Class Institutional Content
- Develop and deliver case studies, research reports, explainer decks, solution briefs, whitepapers, and sales enablement materials tailored for banks, asset managers, fintechs, and other institutional stakeholders. This content should be the type of material that gets forwarded around by your friends still in tradfi.
- Distill complex technical capabilities into language that resonates with more risk-conscious, ROI-focused decision makers.
Be the voice of institutional audiences
- Plan and execute targeted marketing initiatives, from thought leadership series to data-driven reports that showcase how financial institutional are (or should) think about tokenization, managing digital assets, and incorporating crypto rails into their businesses.
- Work with BD and IR teams to ensure they have the right assets for every stage of the sales cycle. This role should be responsible for trying out content, developing an opinion about what is landing, helping the BD team test it in a sales funnel, and using those insights to reinforce success in the market.
- Plan and support LayerZero’s participation in key events, roundtables, and forums that drive institutional conversations both online and in person.
Be Obsessed with Data
- Be curious finding interesting insights that go beyond the basic 101 content. You should be comfortable working with data or data teams to back every claim with real-world usage data, industry benchmarks, and credible sources.
- This role will be responsible for helping “train the trainer”, helping individuals at more traditional companies not just understand where the industry is headed but be able to articulate it back to their less savvy coworkers, clients or peers.
Measure Impact and Iterate
- Track asset usage, campaign performance, and content engagement to continuously improve quality and effectiveness. We expect this person to test out new channels and strategies, so should quickly develop an opinion on what works or doesn’t.
ABOUT YOU
- 3-5 years of experience in product marketing, content marketing, or sales enablement with a focus on institutional finance, fintech, or crypto strongly preferred.
- Ability to produce high-quality, multi-format content for technical or regulated audiences.
- Exceptional writing skills, able to craft content that is precise, credible, and persuasive for C-suite and technical decision-makers.
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
- A genuine interest in the intersection of crypto and institutional finance, and the trends shaping adoption.
