The Role:
Jensen Hughes is seeking a Lead Fire Engineer to join our growing team in Seoul, South Korea. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering a range of fire protection engineering and design projects across multiple sectors. This position will involve fire protection mechanical and electrical system design, BIM-based modelling, and coordination with multidisciplinary project teams. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring juniors and working closely with clients.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of high-quality fire protection designs, collaborate with architecture, MEP, and structural teams, and support the delivery of innovative and compliant engineering solutions across a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
Fire Protection Mechanical Design:
• Basic and detailed design of water-based and gas-based fire extinguishing systems, smoke control systems, and related fire protection facilities
• System design in accordance with mathematical calculations and relevant codes and standards (NFSC, NFPA, etc.)
• Preparation and development of design criteria and technical standards
Fire Protection Electrical Design:
• System design and circuit configuration for automatic fire detection and evacuation systems
• Detector layout planning and control panel interlocking logic design
• Coordination and optimisation of interfaces with related engineering disciplines (architecture, electrical, etc.)
3D Modelling (BIM)
• Development of 3D building models and fire protection facility libraries using Revit and Navisworks
• Review and coordination of interfaces with other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural) to proactively eliminate design clashes and errors
• BIM-based quantity take-offs and enhancement of construction drawing quality
Qualifications & Experience:
• Experienced with 5+ years experience
• Bachelor’s degree (4-year university qualification) or higher (associate degree holders may also apply)

• Firefighting Equipment Technician Certification (Mechanical Field)
• Firefighting Equipment Technician Certification (Electrical Field)

In this role, you will contribute to the development of high-quality fire protection designs, collaborate with architecture, MEP, and structural teams, and support the delivery of innovative and compliant engineering solutions across a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
Fire Protection Mechanical Design:
• Basic and detailed design of water-based and gas-based fire extinguishing systems, smoke control systems, and related fire protection facilities
• System design in accordance with mathematical calculations and relevant codes and standards (NFSC, NFPA, etc.)
• Preparation and development of design criteria and technical standards
Fire Protection Electrical Design:
• System design and circuit configuration for automatic fire detection and evacuation systems
• Detector layout planning and control panel interlocking logic design
• Coordination and optimisation of interfaces with related engineering disciplines (architecture, electrical, etc.)
3D Modelling (BIM)
• Development of 3D building models and fire protection facility libraries using Revit and Navisworks
• Review and coordination of interfaces with other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural) to proactively eliminate design clashes and errors
• BIM-based quantity take-offs and enhancement of construction drawing quality
Qualifications & Experience:
• Entry-level candidates or candidates with 2+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree (4-year university qualification) or higher (associate degree holders may also apply)

Job Overview
Jensen Hughes is now seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer (Professional Engineer) to join our team in Seoul, South Korea. In this role you will be responsible for managing and working a wide range of projects across the region. This is a client-facing role and therefore a solid technical understanding of Fire and Life Safety principles, excellent communication & organization skills are a must. In this role, you will demonstrate experience and passion in Code Consulting, Performance Based Design, and/or Fire Protection System Design
Responsibilities:
- Managing a wide range of projects and collaborating with senior clients.
- Attend client project & design meetings, managing project expectations completing assigned tasks on schedule and within budget
- Carry out design and layout reviews
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations including fire strategy reports
- Carry out site compliance audits, gap analysis in line with local and NFPA compliance requirements
- Lead and carry out Design reviews and participate in various levels of Business Development, including meetings and presentations with Clients and developing proposals
Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical Degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent. Qualifications as a Professional Engineer is high preferred.
- Relevant experience in Code consulting, design and design review of fire suppression & alarm systems, developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment
- 10 years of experience in Fire engineering
- Chartered Engineer or PE highly desirable but not essential
- Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills along with excellent communication skills including speaking and writing in
- Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies, speak in public, negotiate, explain fire protection concepts, and enforce standards while strengthening relationships, occasionally under pressure
- Should be able to work independently and as part of a team, enjoying professional challenges and wanting to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes.
- Strong Project Management capabilities and understanding of Project Financial management

Job Overview
We are looking for a Finance Analyst (12 month contract) in Seoul, Korea to support our growing business across Asia. The purpose of this role is to act as a true partner to the business and to provide strategic support to key parts of the business. The Project Finance Department oversees the financial performance of more than 20,000 projects on an annual basis acting as the business advisor to business operations, senior management, and executive leadership.
In this role, you will work across a range of different activities across Asia:
- Oversee and take responsibility for the month-end close of assigned portfolio(s), ensuring all deliverables are completed in line with corporate timelines
- Strategic Partner and Advisory to Business Operations for the respective portfolio(s)
- Review and interpret contracts to support accurate revenue recognition and ensure appropriate payment terms are established at the contracting stage to enhance payment security and reduce financial risk
- End to end project administration including contract review, system set up, and ensuring accurate revenue recognition, billing, collections and project close out
- Ownership of all project financial metrics including Revenue, Margin, Unbilled, AR, Backlog
- Manage Month-End Close process for assigned projects including ensuring accuracy and compliance and driving results to reach department goals for Revenue, Margin, Unbilled & AR
- Manage annual audit process for assigned projects
- Partner with the Project Manager(s) in financial support of the projects.
- Review monthly results (Revenue, GM, Unbilled, AR, Backlog) with PMs, Operations Leadership, and Project Financial Managers providing high level analysis of performance.
- Lead the planning, documentation, and execution of department wide initiatives
- Drive process improvement identifying pain points or inefficiencies, determining solutions, and leading the testing and implementation of those solutions.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide appropriate finance and administrative support when necessary
Requirements And Qualifications
- Bilingual – English and Korean
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or other relevant fields
- 5+ years of relevant experience (revenue analyst, project accounting, auditor, etc.)
- Experience and understanding of revenue recognition principles
- Experience in reviewing the performance of project financials
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand contract terms and conditions
- Ability to independently prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills in evaluating project performance
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to manage specialized internal projects in Accounting/Finance
- Experience with process implementation, refinement, and documentation of same
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint is preferred, but not required
