Qualification Checklist 

Fachlich

• Grundwissen im deutschen Steuerrecht, insbesondere Einkommen‑ und Lohnsteuer
• Erste erfolgreich absolvierte Klausuren im Steuerrecht (Einführung, ESt, Grundlagen Unternehmenssteuerrecht etc.)

Your Role in Our Space Mission 

• Act as trusted business partner for Engineering departments.
• Drive the budgeting and forecasting process together with the business partners and the rest of the FP&A team.
• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly internal reporting, highlighting variances and key performance indicators.
• Lead project-controlling activities, monitoring financial performance, risks, and opportunities within Engineering departments.

Isar Aerospace is looking for a highly motivated Working Student to support the FP&A team in financial analysis, reporting, and planning activities alongside ongoing business operations. You will work closely with a Senior FP&A Analyst, who will guide you in your role.

Your Role in Our Space Mission

• Engage in finance business partnering for functions with recurring costs and contracts, acting as a point of contact for basic financial and contractual topics
• Support month-end closing activities by preparing variance analysis, identifying deviations, and contributing to cost center reporting
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including data collection, consolidation, and validation of planning inputs
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis related to specific projects or business questions
• Support the FP&A team and the wider Finance organization with day-to-day operational activities

Mission Brief 

The Director of Group Accounting is responsible for the accuracy, compliance, and transparency of all group financial reporting. This includes managing consolidation, driving accounting governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as a key financial counterpart to internal and external stakeholders. 

Your Role in Our Space Mission 

Financial Reporting & Consolidation 

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements (HGB/IFRS).
• Ensure accurate, timely, and complete consolidation of all group entities. 
• Develop and maintain group accounting policies and reporting standards. 
• Cooperate closely with Controlling, Tax, Treasury, and local Finance teams.

Accounting Compliance & Governance 

• Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal guidelines.
• Oversee the internal control system (ICS) related to accounting.
• Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors and authorities.

SAP S/4HANA & Process Optimization 

• Act as key functional owner for SAP S/4HANA in Accounting.
• Optimize and harmonize accounting processes across the group. 
• Demonstrate strong hands-on mentality in operational and system topics. 

Stakeholder Management 

• Serve as advisor to senior management and global stakeholders.
• Ensure clear, transparent, and targeted communication across all levels.

Qualification Checklist 

• 10–15+ years of experience in Group Accounting, Audit, or related fields. 
• Preferably certified as CPA, tax advisor, or auditor.
• Deep expertise in HGB and IFRS. 
• Extensive SAP S/4HANA experience, including design/implementation.
• Strong leadership, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English and German

The role serves as a specialist staff position supporting the Director Group Accounting. Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate closely with Finance, Controlling, Tax, Legal, and external auditors.
• Advise management on accounting-related matters.
• Proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.

Measures of Success

• Quality, accuracy, and timeliness of financial statements.
• Compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Capabilities

• Deep expertise in HGB and IFRS.
• Extensive experience in group accounting or Big Four auditing.

Mission Brief 

Role Purpose

• Hands-on finance role combining operational Accounts Payable execution with a strong mandate to increase automation and process efficiency
• Active contributor to scalable, SAP-based finance processes in a fast-growing, international technology company
• Clear focus on doing the work, improving it continuously, and reducing manual effort across AP, payments and P2P

Your Role in Our Space Mission 

• Execute Accounts Payable operations end-to-end in SAP S/4HANA, including PO-based invoice processing, postings, clarifications and support of month-end close
• Perform and take responsibility for payment runs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with internal controls
• Record, reconcile and clear bank transactions, including electronic bank statements (EBS) and bank- and payment-related clearing accounts
• Actively drive a high degree of automation in invoice-to-pay and payment processes by optimising workflows, exception handling and system usage
• Contribute hands-on to the optimisation and automation of the SAP Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, in close collaboration with Procurement and IT
• Ensure VAT-compliant accounting for domestic and cross-border transactions, applying German and European VAT rules pragmatically in daily operations
• Support import-related accounting topics, including import VAT, and coordinate with Tax and external service providers where required
• Act as an operational interface between Finance, Tax, Procurement, Supply Chain, Controlling and IT for AP-, P2P-, payment- and import-related matters
• Support accounting aspects of customs and import processes, ensuring proper integration into SAP and finance workflows
• Identify recurring manual steps and process weaknesses and implement practical improvements to increase efficiency, data quality and scalability
• Contribute to a stable, efficient and scalable monthly close and reporting process

Qualification Checklist 

• Several years of professional experience in Accounts Payable or operational finance, ideally in an international or growing environment
• Sound hands-on understanding of the SAP Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process and its impact on accounting, VAT and downstream processes
• Basic to solid knowledge of German and European VAT, confidently applied in day-to-day operations
• Initial experience with or strong interest in customs- and import-related accounting topics
• Strong process and IT affinity with a clear interest in automation and digital finance solutions
• Explicit hands-on mentality: comfortable executing operational tasks while driving process improvements in parallel
• Strong sense of ownership, reliability and ability to work across functional interfaces
• Fluent English; German is a strong plus

Mission Brief 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Isar Aerospace in a key role. You will work closely with finance team in headquarter and yet have an independent role in this exciting new space business. Isar Norway and Isar Sweden will gradually insource more of our accounting activities under your oversight. 
As the responsible accountant you will ensure that accounting processes are running smoothly in both Norway and Sweden, and together with our external tax and accounting provider secure that one time month/year end closing are done in a timely and accurate manner. 
The position could be based at our office in Munich. 

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

• Record payment transactions and bank activities: Ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations
• Support cost control and invoice approvals: Collaborate with managers to control expenses and handle invoice approvals
• Maintain accurate asset records: Perform asset accounting, reconcile balance sheets, and manage intercompany accounts
• Prepare financial and regulatory reports: Compile tax and other legally required reports
• Generate financial statements: Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for both Sweden and Norway
• Optimize accounting processes: Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement process optimization measures
• Provide data-driven insights to management: Support managers by translating accounting data into actionable insight

Qualification Checklist 

• Completed vocational training and further education as a management accountant or hold a relevant degree with a focus on accounting and tax
• Possess strong accounting knowledge and experience under Norwegian or Swedish GAAP
• Proficient in SAP accounting software
• Demonstrate an analytical and independent work style
• Reliable and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
• Confident user of MS Office applications
