The Role

Imply is looking for a motivated and curious Business Development Representative (BDR), to help grow the adoption of our newest product, Imply Lumi. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical, fast-evolving space and enjoys engaging with technical buyers (SREs, DevOps, etc). As a BDR, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers and will play a critical role in building the pipeline and educating the market on Imply Lumi.

The Role

Imply is looking for a Software Engineer to build the industry’s first Observability Warehouse. The Role

We are hiring a Director of Product Management to lead our team of product managers, shaping the direction and vision of Imply Lumi. This role will own strategy and execution: defining how customers ingest, store, query, and act on massive volumes of machine data in the most performant, scalable, and cost-effective way possible.

The Role 

The Enterprise Account Executive role is a territorial sales position selling the Lumi solution to companies across the United States. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, a self-starter, detail oriented, process driven (MEDDICC), and will employ a strategic approach to all sales engagements. They will demonstrate a consistent track record of success in achieving new customer objectives and revenue targets. 

In addition, they will be comfortable selling a solution and technologies from within a technology startup environment to CxO, VP, and Director level contacts within the IT organization. Solutions will be tailored to a customer’s business needs and integrate Imply solutions in a way that is valued by the customer and superior to the competition.

Responsibilities include running your territory as a franchise CEO; pipeline generation; champion building; leading presentations, and providing rapid response to outstanding technical questions. In partnership with a Customer Architect (pre-sales), you will ensure optimal customer support and service throughout the sales process.

We’re looking for a talented Staff Software Engineer who is passionate about building scalable web services and cloud infrastructure for products used at thousands of companies around the world. • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to explain complex technical concepts at the appropriate levels for customers, non-technical stakeholders, and other engineers
• Build and operate systems in US Government Cloud environments (US citizenship required)

Individual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications aligned with Imply’s internal levelings guidelines and benchmarks. The below range encompasses roles with on target earnings. This role is also eligible to participate in Imply’s equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

Compensation: $195,000 - $230,000

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team in pre-sales engagements to design and present solutions for Imply Lumi that address customer needs in observability, SIEM, and adjacent analytics use cases. 
• Leverage deep expertise in Splunk and familiarity with related tools such as Cribl, Grafana, and Elastic to ensure seamless integration into customer environments.
• Lead technical discovery, proof-of-concept, and pilot deployments, ensuring smooth onboarding, measurable value delivery, and alignment with customer business objectives to drive new and expansion opportunities.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting during pre-sales and early adoption phases, building customer trust through technical expertise, responsive engagement, and a commitment to long-term success.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by identifying optimization opportunities, uncovering additional use cases, and sharing best practices for managing observability and security data at scale.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering to share customer feedback, address solution gaps, and influence the Lumi roadmap to improve product-market fit.
• Help achieve revenue targets set by the company
• Keep opportunity information up-to-date in Salesforce and other tools in partnership with the Sales team

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience with observability, SIEM, or analytics platforms, including customer-facing work in pre-sales and/or early adoption phases.
• Strong knowledge of observability architectures, log and metrics pipelines, and related tools, with strong Splunk knowledge and familiarity with complementary technologies such as Cribl, Grafana, or Elastic preferred.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions in at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure), along with working knowledge of SQL, SPL, and a programming language such as Python or Java.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively lead deep discovery, identify opportunities, and deliver enterprise solutions that integrate into existing observability stacks while addressing customer challenges and delivering measurable value.
• Detail-oriented with strong ownership, accountability, and communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Background in bringing new or emerging products to market, including guiding early customer adoption and shaping product fit.

Bonus Points

• Experience with large-scale log and metrics data storage, compression, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with security analytics, incident response workflows, compliance-related data requirements, and containerized deployments using technologies such as Kubernetes and Helm.
• Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC to support effective pre-sales engagement and value-based selling.
• Passion for mentoring team members and contributing to a culture of technical excellence and customer success.
