We are looking for a Strategic Accounting Senior to act as a crucial change agent in modernizing our Finance organization. This role is central to driving efficiency and scale by leading the integration and optimization of AI and new technologies across core Accounting processes at HubSpot. You will be a go-to accounting subject matter expert, responsible for identifying high-impact use cases and executing strategic changes in business strategies with our Product and Sales stakeholders.

In this role you’ll get to:

• Act as an accounting subject matter expert, along with other members of the Strategic Accounting Initiatives team, working with our Product and Sales stakeholders to manage execution of key business changes and system implementations
• Help provide detailed accounting business requirements after thoroughly understanding the current end to end process and goals for the system
• Assist with the design and documentation of implementation testing plans and go-forward control activity design; coordinate buy in from internal and external audit teams
• Assist with the identification and generation of use cases for design and configuration of the system as well as testing the output of the use cases
• Perform user acceptance and parallel testing to ensure systems meet required specifications
• Transfer knowledge and help train Accounting team members that will own the system in their processes going forward
• Lead the integration and optimization of AI and new technologies to enhance efficiency across core Accounting processes and workflows, such as accelerating month-end close, automating complex JE’s and reconciliations, and leveraging AI for advanced data analysis
• Help drive Accounting system and processes maturity and scale, including facilitating discussions on pain points and assisting with execution of process improvements 
• Assist with integration of acquired companies or newly stood up subsidiaries into existing Accounting processes

We are looking for people who have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
• 3-6 years in Accounting roles (combination of Big 4 and industry experience)
• Solid understanding of revenue and commissions accounting under ASC 606
• Proficiency in Excel and AI tools is required; Netsuite and Looker a plus
• Desire to constantly be learning and improve skills and knowledge
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Strong oral and written skills and the ability to communicate 

Lead Finance Partner; Product Monetization (Product FP&A)

HubSpot is looking for a Lead Finance Partner for our Product Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This position will own complex modeling and decision support for our newest product launches and ambitious growth initiatives, partnering closely with stakeholders to align financial insights with company strategy. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Monetization, you will work directly with global leaders across the business to enable strategic decision making regarding pricing & packaging, go-to-market strategy, product strategy, and more. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in cross-functional execution, and identifying strategic opportunities to accelerate progress.

Key responsibilities:

• Own complex modeling for some of our newest initiatives, helping ensure the successful execution of product launches while maintaining our company’s long term financial goals
• Identify and analyze key financial drivers proactively and make recommendations that empower & influence strategic business decisions (e.g. organizational, investment, business offerings and operations) to achieve better business results
• Build and maintain deep relationships and be confident in presenting strategies and outcomes to senior executives
• Partner closely with Product Operations, Business Insights, FP&A and other cross functional partners to translate complex customer usage data into financial impact; creating tailored narratives that support decision-making and strategic planning

What we’re looking for: 

• A track record of success. We are looking for someone with at least 8 years experience in FP&A, Strategy, Product Operations, Pricing, or other analytical fields. Industry experience in technology/software. Strong preference for having hands-on experience with subscription and usage-based forecasting models. 
• Strong modelling and storytelling ability. Advanced financial analysis and complex modeling skills are the table stakes of this position. Able to grok complex, multivariate forecasting models — stress test their assumptions, understand their logic, and distill them into crisp, compelling narratives for executive audiences.
• High impact collaborator: Thrives in multidisciplinary environments and understands how to operate within a mixed ownership model. Ability to build alignment across functions, influence without authority, and keep forward momentum in a cross-functional setting.
• An analytics guru: Experience with enterprise-scale analytics architectures built for a variety of applications. Advanced SQL knowledge and experience, Python or R, with visualization tools such as Looker/Tableau.

Director of Revenue Accounting

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Revenue Accounting to lead our global revenue accounting function. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, while building scalable processes and policies to support a growing public company environment. You will own all functional-level outcomes for the Revenue Accounting team, ensuring that as HubSpot evolves, our revenue integrity remains robust. This role demands deep technical accounting expertise combined with a focus on operational execution and strategic thinking, providing the process and infrastructure for scaling our global revenue close while maintaining rigorous audit readiness and ASC 606 compliance.  

In this role you’ll get to:

• Own all aspects of global revenue accounting, including contract reviews, technical accounting conclusions, monthly revenue close processes, revenue-related accounting policies, and quarterly SEC disclosures, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, SOX, and company policies
• Act as a subject matter expert in revenue accounting, including interpreting complex ASC 606 guidance and shaping the structure of non-standard revenue arrangements and related revenue policies for the company
• Drive continuous process transformation and automation across revenue accounting, maximizing the use of AI tools to accelerate workflows like month-end close and reconciliations while ensuring robust financial controls.
• Own the functional design and integrity of the revenue recognition system and revenue reporting infrastructure, ensuring systems are architected for efficiency, auditability, and long-term scalability.
• Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Product, FP&A, Legal, and other cross-functional partners on non-standard contract strategy and policies
• Determine the impact and provide guidance on accounting implications of pricing changes, product launches, and other strategic go-to-market initiatives; ensure timely operationalizing of those initiatives, enabling the Company to execute initiatives without rev/rec being a blocker
• Collaborate with FP&A and other teams on revenue forecasting, particularly related to new go-to-market initiatives
• Provide leadership and guidance to the revenue accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence, as well as developing a high-performing, collaborative team

We are looking for people who have:

• 10+ years professional experience in accounting, with a deep mastery of ASC 606 and revenue recognition in a public accounting and/or public company SaaS environment, CPA required
• Strong experience with revenue reporting infrastructure (e.g., AREV, NetSuite, or similar) and the ability to oversee functional system design.
• A "big picture" thinker who is equally comfortable "rolling up their sleeves" to resolve operational roadblocks.
• Exceptional oral and written skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex accounting impacts to executive-level leadership and nonaccountants.
• Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating across multiple priorities and stakeholder groups.
