Maintain daily product ordering from vendors
Negotiate annual marketing programs to ensure competitiveness and profitability
Align purchasing with sales needs, inventory plans, and customer fill-rate goals
Replenish stock promptly and manage new product rollouts and discontinuations
Negotiate pricing, deals, and promotions to enhance value
Ensure accurate and timely product delivery by coordinating with vendors, buyers, and transportation partners
Verify inventory quantities, expiration codes, and product quality
Monitor and reduce dead or overstock inventory
Assist with invoice reconciliation and request vendor refunds for losses
Source and maintain freight rates
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and other departments
Provide product details, availability, and vendor info to the sales team
Create weekly hot sheets for short-dated items
Maintain a minimum customer service level of 99.5%
Minimum 6 years of buying or purchasing experience in the food service industry, commodities, or import purchasing
Strong understanding of buying best practices and supply chain operations
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organization skills
Proficient in desktop software and purchasing platforms
Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Product knowledge and sourcing experience strongly preferred

Honor Foods is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and strengthen safety, food safety, sanitation, and security programs at our Philadelphia distribution facility.
This role is ideal for a hands-on safety professional with experience in warehouse, logistics, or food distribution environments who thrives on building strong safety cultures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting team members.
The Safety Manager will serve as the local subject matter expert for OSHA compliance, food safety programs, sanitation standards, and facility security, while partnering with operations and leadership to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
This role works within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment, including refrigerated and freezer conditions. The Safety Manager must be comfortable working around industrial equipment, warehouse operations, and food safety environments.
