What’s the role
We are looking for a driven Social Worker that operates with a high sense of urgency and possesses a strong work ethic. You don’t need to speak Hebrew to apply, and we strongly encourage candidates from traditionally underrepresented groups to join our community!
What you’ll do
- Create and maintain an organized system for professional documentation of services and referrals provided to students and families;
- Complete documentation, progress notes and reports as required by state, local and federal mandates and ethical responsibilities;
- Create ambitious goals for improvement and aligned plans for intervention for students who require support to succeed behaviorally and academically;
- Measure the impact of counseling services and intervention through tracking data aligned to the individualized goals set for at-risk students;
- Provide individualized and group counseling services to address specific student needs that impact their ability to be successful in their classrooms;
- Build strong relationships with families to support student growth;
- Manage child abuse reporting, including supporting mandated reporting when needed
- Coordinate and offer services with outside providers to support families and the school in accessing community resources as needed;
- Conduct home and community visits as needed to assess and support student and family needs;
- Be highly visible and present during the school day to students and staff;
- Collaborate with the school’s leadership team to develop and implement the school’s social emotional learning program;
- Work collaboratively with all staff members to model and drive solutions oriented mindset when approaching challenging situations and student behaviors;
- Any other duties commensurate with the responsibilities of teaching staff, including participation in staff meetings and school-wide events.
Who you are
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in New York, with experience serving as a social worker for school aged children. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.
- Knowledge/experience in multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) preferred
- Ability to work well on a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in an urban school setting in which students are selected by lottery and not by entrance exam or by discretionary criteria is preferred, not required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction is a network-based role that supports the design, implementation, and improvement of instructional practices across Hebrew Public schools. As a member of the Program Team, this role strengthens curriculum execution, coaching systems, and teacher development, ensuring school teams have the tools and support needed to deliver high-quality instruction aligned to network priorities. This role reports to the Senior Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
What You’ll Do
Curriculum & Materials Development
- Provide administrative and project management support to ensure strong execution of instructional initiatives
- Develop and refine instructional materials to support teachers and leaders including lesson internalization tools, exemplar materials, model resources, and assessment-aligned supports
- Support curriculum rollout, including pacing, unit alignment, and resource coherence
Coaching & Teacher Development Support
- Provide targeted support to instructional leaders and/or teachers, including modeling, co-planning, observations and feedback
- Contribute to the design and facilitation of professional development sessions
- Assist with planning and execution of network PD (e.g., Summer Institute, Leader PD)
Data & Instructional Responsiveness
- Support the use of student data to inform instructional decisions
- Assist in analyzing trends across classrooms, grade levels, and schools
- Help develop tools and systems that support data-driven instruction
Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Lead and support high-priority, cross-functional instructional initiatives aligned to network priorities
Who You Are
- Strong understanding of high-quality instruction and curriculum implementation
- 3+ years experience in coaching and/or instructional leadership in urban public schools
- 5+ years teaching experience in urban public schools
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work across multiple schools and adapt to different contexts
- Ability to work in person 3–4 days per week, including travel to schools in New York City and Philadelphia. All travel accommodations will be compensated.

We are looking for a driven Founding Middle School Hebrew Teacher to deliver engaging, standards-based instruction, utilize Responsive Classroom techniques, and monitor student progress while collaborating with colleagues to refine teaching practices. What’s the role
We are seeking a skilled and student-centered Middle School Special Education Intensive Support Teacher to lead a small, structured classroom serving students with moderate disabilities for most of the school day. This role functions closest to a self-contained classroom, not a traditional pull-out model, and requires strong expertise in small-group instruction, individualized learning, and classroom structure.
The ideal candidate brings experience in self-contained, autism support, or life skills settings and is excited to support students in building both academic and functional skills. This teacher also serves as the instructional leader for paraprofessionals, ensuring high-quality, consistent support for all students.

What you’ll do
Instruction & Student Support
- Deliver highly differentiated, standards-based instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics aligned to student IEP goals
- Provide structured, small-group and individualized instruction for students with moderate disabilities, including autism and functional skill needs
- Integrate life skills, executive functioning, and social-emotional learning into daily instruction
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies (e.g., explicit instruction, visual supports, task analysis, structured routines)
- Maintain a structured, predictable, and supportive classroom environment that maximizes student independence and engagement
IEP Implementation & Progress Monitoring
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, ensuring alignment between instruction and student needs
- Collect and analyze student data daily to adjust instruction and track progress toward goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to student performance and compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningfully to goal-setting and progress discussions
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and direct paraprofessionals and 1:1 aides to ensure effective instructional delivery

What’s the role
We are seeking a skilled and student-centered Elementary Special Education Intensive Support Teacher to lead a small, structured classroom serving students with moderate disabilities for most of the school day. This role functions closest to a self-contained classroom, not a traditional pull-out model, and requires strong expertise in small-group instruction, individualized learning, and classroom structure.
The ideal candidate brings experience in self-contained, autism support, or life skills settings and is excited to support students in building both academic and functional skills. This teacher also serves as the instructional leader for paraprofessionals, ensuring high-quality, consistent support for all students.

What you’ll do
Instruction & Student Support
- Deliver highly differentiated, standards-based instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics aligned to student IEP goals
- Provide structured, small-group and individualized instruction for students with moderate disabilities, including autism and functional skill needs
- Integrate life skills, executive functioning, and social-emotional learning into daily instruction
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies (e.g., explicit instruction, visual supports, task analysis, structured routines)
- Maintain a structured, predictable, and supportive classroom environment that maximizes student independence and engagement
IEP Implementation & Progress Monitoring
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, ensuring alignment between instruction and student needs
- Collect and analyze student data daily to adjust instruction and track progress toward goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to student performance and compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningfully to goal-setting and progress discussions
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and direct paraprofessionals and 1:1 aides to ensure effective instructional delivery
- Model instructional strategies and provide ongoing feedback to support staff
- Coordinate with general education teachers, specialists, and service providers to ensure aligned support for students
- Collaborate with colleagues to design integrated and differentiated curriculum
Family Communication & School Community
- Build strong, proactive relationships with families and communicate regularly about student progress
- Partner with families to support student growth both academically and functionally
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture for students and staff
Professional Responsibilities

What’s the role
The Operations Manager is the systems leader of Philadelphia Hebrew Public, creating a safe, welcoming, and highly organized environment where students and families are supported every day.
This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role. You will partner with the operations team to ensure all core systems run smoothly including the front office, attendance, family communication, student records, transportation, safety, food service, and facilities. You will support daily execution, respond to urgent challenges, ensure systems are followed consistently, and build strong relationships with families and partners.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will help strengthen and improve these systems over time. You will partner with school leadership to align operations with school goals, support compliance with all requirements, oversee enrollment processes, and manage procurement and technology, so teachers can focus on teaching and students can focus on learning.

What you’ll do
Operations Management
- Create an office space and culture that is customer service-oriented, welcoming, organized, and accessible to all stakeholders including staff, learners, families, and partners
- Lead and supports the operations team, particularly the office staff
- Respond to general school inquiries via phone, in person, and email with urgency and thoughtfulness;
- Coordinate daily systems and procedures to ensure seamless execution of all school operations, including, parent communication, student transportation, data reporting, attendance, school food, school safety plans and facilities management
- Manage school coverage including deployment of substitute teachers
- Train school staff on daily procedures by ensuring operational systems are implemented with fidelity by all staff members and by giving feedback to stakeholders when systems are not meeting school needs
Use an operational lens and expertise to develop long-term operational strategy and carry out the leadership team's school goals and vision
- Manage the student record keeping systems in line with state rules and regulations, including health and safety laws, teacher certification, city and state mandates, and all state and federal workplace regulations
- Manage student transportation including arrival, dismissal, and field trips
- Manage the school’s food services program and emergency exit and lockdown procedures and protocols; scheduling of fire drills in accordance with state law
- Establish and maintains successful relationships with all members of the schools, builds partners to drive the goals of our school community
- Advocate for all policies, procedures, and communications across the school community to drive student outcomes
- Establish and maintain successful relationships within all members of the school and building partners to drive the goals our school community;
Student and Family Engagement
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders (families, staff, students, Charter School Office, vendors, organizational partners, and Hebrew Public network team)
- Collaborate with Leadership Team in creating effective and efficient communications to all stakeholders, and creating smooth and efficient in-school systems
- Key partner in planning and executing school-family events and involvement, including family nights
- Manage student enrollment process including application, lottery, waitlist, transfer, withdrawal process, and monitoring of accurate student records;
Finance, Procurement and Technology
- Responsible for site level procurement of supplies, materials, equipment and inventory management.
- Oversee on-site technology activities in alignment with school’s operational goals and budget
Who you are
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred)
- 2–4 years of experience in school operations or administrative support (required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with SIS platforms is a plus
- Demonstrated success working with children and/or families—preferably in an elementary school setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish fluency is a plus
- Physically able to lift 50 pounds (materials, supplies, etc.)

What’s the role
The Operations Associate is the front-line anchor of Philadelphia Hebrew Public This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role that keeps the school running day to day. You will support the front office, oversee attendance, communicate with families, maintain student records, and respond to urgent needs as they arise. It requires strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to stay calm and effective while juggling multiple priorities.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Associate ensures that essential systems run smoothly so teachers can teach and students can learn. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is driven by purpose, eager to build operational skills, and ready to contribute to a mission-focused school community.

What you’ll do
Administrative & School Systems
- Serve as a welcoming, dependable front-line representative for the school community—greeting students, families, staff, and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Manage student information systems such as PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Compass, and ParentSquare with precision and timeliness
- Prepare and track compliance documentation for local, state, and federal requirements
- Process procurement requests, manage inventory, and ensure proper distribution of materials and supplies
- Maintain a high-standard office environment and support event planning, vendor coordination, and communication
- Collect, track, and report attendance data, meal sheets, and other required administrative documentation
- Oversee all aspects of the enrollment process, including digital systems management, document collection, and direct family engagement
- Support coordination of student transportation, partnering with the School District of Philadelphia and external transportation vendors
- Take ownership of additional projects and tasks that align with the school’s mission and operational needs
Student and Family Engagement
- Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with families and staff
- Manage all family communication via ParentSquare, ensuring timely, clear, and culturally responsive messaging across email, text, and calls
- Foster a culture of service, reliability, and respect in every interaction
Attendance
- Support daily attendance operations—ensuring data accuracy, reviewing tardies/absence notes, and following up on missing submissions
- Lead communication for attendance compliance, including required notifications and documentation
Communication and Management
- Manage afternoon front desk operations with a professional, solutions-oriented approach
- Maintain regular, effective communication with school leadership, staff, and families via email, newsletters, and digital platforms
File management and Compliance
- Ensure student files are meticulously organized and compliant with all regulations
- Manage secure collection, transfer, and storage of sensitive student records
Who you are
- 1–3 years of experience in customer service, administrative support, front desk, or school office work (required). School operations experience is a plus, not a requirement, we will train.
- Previous charter school experience is highly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education degree preferred.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; eager to learn new systems (SIS platforms, ParentSquare, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience working with children and/or families, ideally in an elementary school, after-school, camp, daycare, or community-based setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish fluency preferred.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds (materials, supplies, etc.) and stand at a front desk for extended periods.

- Mastery/deep knowledge in instructional subject area, with an undergraduate major or minor or graduate degree in the subject;

- Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools is a plus
- Hold PA teacher certification or working towards certification
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Legally authorized to work in the USA
