Today’s AI has a jagged intelligence surface. It is superhuman on well-defined benchmarks like the International Math Olympiad, but falls short in many real world domains.
Haize Labs brings superintelligence to the long tail of these domains through our agent foundry, which enables agent performance at parity with or better than domain experts.
Our agents are being deployed across many, many verticals. We are hiring an Applied Researcher to 1) turn companies into environments, 2) RL on these environments, and 3) rapidly scale and refine our products in existing verticals. This role spans research (RL, environment design, reward modeling), engineering (building, debugging, evaluating agents), and customer management (scoping, planning, relationship-building).
$175,000 – $265,000 annual salary
And generous equity + benefits

Haize Labs takes AI-based applications from proof-of-concept to production. We eliminate risk and improve the reliability of LLM-based applications by haizing them – i.e. rigorously, proactively, and continuously fuzz-testing them.
We are looking for a talented and experienced backend + infrastructure engineer to help build out our AI reliability platform. You will play a foundational role in designing and driving forward the core technology that puts our cutting-edge AI research in the hands of customers, empowering them to build AI applications that are trustworthy, robust, and ready for production.
This is an opportunity to directly influence how AI applications are tested, verified, and deployed by everyone from frontier AI labs to massive enterprises across a wide range of industries.
$200,000 – $300,000 annual salary + equity + benefits
At Haize, we're not here to write GPT wrappers or get rich quick off the AI bubble. We're here to solve the hardest problem in AI: making it safe, reliable, and production-ready.
Since our company's inception in 2024, we've amassed amazing customers including OpenAI, Anthropic, AI21, and more. We've developed best-in-class tooling for evaluation, dynamic testing, red-teaming, observability, and continuous “robustification” of AI applications. And we’re backed + advised by the founders of Cognition, Hugging Face, Weights and Biases, Nous, Etched, Okta, and Replit, as well as C-suite execs from Google, Stripe, Databricks, Robinhood, and more.
Our core team is exceptionally well-suited to accomplish our mission. We’ve turned down opportunities like Stanford PhD programs and Y Combinator in order to pursue this goal, and we have experience doing AI research and engineering at places like Harvard, MIT, Citadel, Datadog, and McKinsey QuantumBlack (to name a few).
We can only serve our mission with an incredibly talented and hard-working team, and we hope that includes you. Come to Haize to push yourself, learn fast, experience excellence, grow with each other, and pursue your life's work.

Haize Labs gets LLM apps out of POCs and into production. We eliminate the risk and improve the reliability of LLM apps by haizing them -- i.e. rigorously, proactively, and continuously fuzz-testing them.
We are looking for Software Engineering Interns to help develop our reliability platform, with a focus on:
Our work is both intellectually stimulating and practically useful. Your work will result in net-new primitives, frameworks, and algorithms for developing robust LLM applications. You work will directly influence how LLM apps are tested, verified, and deployed everywhere.

Since our company's inception in 2024, we've amassed amazing customers like OpenAI, Anthropic, AI21, and several others. Our core team is exceptionally fit for this mission. We turned down Stanford PhDs, got into & rejected Y Combinator, wrote ML-guided matchmaking for 50,000+ students, built an educational nonprofit supporting 60 countries, and did some other cool things along the way. Our early hires include an MIT PhD with 21,000+ Physics/ML/Stats citations, a Datadog engineering manager who led their GenAI observability team, a Citadel quant with a huge open-source presence, and more.
We can only serve our mission with an incredibly high talent-density team. Come here to push yourself, learn fast, experience excellence, grow with each other, and pursue your life's work.

Haize Labs haizes LLMs at scale. We are the robustness layer eliminating the risk of using language models in any setting. To prevent these systems from failing, we preemptively discover all the ways in which they can fail and continuously eliminate them in deployment.
We are looking for Research Interns to help us to develop fundamental safety tooling for LLMs. Your work will not only set the standard both in terms of research, but also in terms of how LLMs are tested, verified, and applied across customers, companies, and industries. You will directly influence how the world responsibly uses LLMs.

We are not here to write GPT wrappers or get rich quick off the AI bubble. We're here to work on the hardest, most fundamental research problem in AI: making it reliable and robust. Come here to push yourself, learn fast, experience excellence, and kickstart your life's work. We value our team above all else, and firmly believe that greatness begets greatness.
Since starting 6 months ago, we’ve developed a suite of safety tools that’s being used at places like Anthropic, AI21, Scale AI, and several other foundation model providers. We’ve been fortunate enough to be backed by the founders of Cognition, Hugging Face, Weights and Biases, Nous, Etched, Okta, Replit as well as rockstar AI and security executives from Stripe, Anduril, and Netflix. We’re lucky to be advised by professors from CMU and Harvard.
Our founding team has been working together for quite some time. We are turning down our Stanford PhD offers to send it on Haize Labs, have gotten into Y Combinator and other accelerators multiple times (and turned down multiple times), were the first Student Researcher at Allen AI, co-led R&D at a Series A NLP startup, wrote ML-guided matchmaking services for 50,000+ students, built an educational nonprofit supporting 60 countries, and did some other cool things along the way.

Haize Labs brings superintelligence to the long tail of these domains through our agent foundry, which enables agent performance at parity with or better than domain experts.
Our agents are being deployed across many, many verticals. We are hiring a Vertical AI Lead to “own the P&L” of our agent deployments in each vertical. This role spans engineering (rapidly building AI agents), product (embedding with customers to understand their pain), GTM (unlocking distribution and winning sales), and customer management (scoping, planning, relationship-building).
This role is all the fun parts of being a Founder without nearly as much of the pain. You will go 0-1 and scale products repeatedly. Team members who succeed in this role will likely go on to start their own companies. We would consider that a successful hire.
You bring the entrepreneurial spirit. Haize brings the agent foundry, research talent, distribution, experience, compensation, and capital to enable you to sprint faster and swing bigger than you could starting from scratch.
We’re looking for people who are ridiculously high agency and ridiculously high urgency: individuals who start without waiting for instructions. Individuals who think on the fly and unblock themselves. Individuals who evolve with the problem, own the outcome, and deliver.
