The ideal Business Development Representative will work in conjunction with sales and marketing to discover, develop, and deliver qualified prospects to the Account Executive Team. This person will also help Account Executives manage and develop relationships with customers and provide a consultative sales approach that delivers the highest level of account management services. This person should share the goals and concerns of the client and understand the technology partner and products available to meet their goals and solve their challenges.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Consistently meet sales and profitability goals.
• Follow-up, qualify, engage, and manage leads and opportunities via Salesforce.com.
• Position product and service solutions to clients.
• Use disciplined account planning to maintain client relationships, enhance customer satisfaction, and increase account penetration.
• Partner with account executives in cross-sell and upsell opportunities; penetrate additional buyers in accounts, identify their needs and configure appropriate offerings.
• Accurately and consistently report sales forecasts and opportunity funnels.
• Participate in industry organizations such as ISSA, ISACA, OWASP etc.
• Work with GuidePoint Security vendors to understand and position their technologies, understand and articulate their value proposition to clients.
• Assist marketing in driving attendance to GuidePoint events and activities.
• Represent GuidePoint Consultants to clients and articulate our areas of expertise.
• Set proper expectations and maintain open communication with clients and vendors throughout the sales process lifecycle.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience with inside sales experience in the IT space required (preference for experience in Information Security).
• Experience with Salesforce.com required.
• Network security vendor related certifications preferred.
• Current enterprise security space experience preferred.
• Strong, established relationships with key accounts in the territory preferred.
• Verifiable history of exceeding sales goals and generating leads.
• Demonstrated ability of lead generation and opening new accounts
• Experience selling professional services, security audits and assessments a plus.
• Must possess good communication skills and ability to interact with all levels or organizations.

Travel Requirements:

• Up to 10% regional travel as needed.
• Available to work in office as needed

GuidePoint Security is growing and expanding and looking for a Senior Security Engineer to support our customers by providing architectural guidance and assist with product recommendations.  The Senior Security Engineer will be instrumental in deploying and operationalizing solutions for the various customers throughout the region. This position will require the engineer to spend most of their time focused on designing, architecting and recommending the best technologies to solve our customer’s cybersecurity problems.

Note: We are looking for an SE currently located in Portland (OR), Boise (ID), or Seattle (WA) to support clients in our Northwest region. 

Role and responsibilities:

• Serve as our Clients’ primary technical point of contact throughout a project life cycle
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operationalizing security controls across a wide range of IT and enterprise business systems
• Understand and articulate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to autonomously prioritize and successfully deliver across a portfolio of projects in a fast-paced environment
• Author comprehensive business and technical collateral to support the business that is proficiently tailored to both technical and managerial audiences
• Capable of managing sales activities with multiple Account Managers across Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Alaska and Idaho.

Experience Required:

• Security engineering experience in the Information Security industry OR as a technical lead for an internal Information Security program
• Experience with architecting and recommending Security Technologies such as but not limited to Network, Data Security, SIEM, Endpoint, etc.
• Experience with architecting, Development Security Operation programs, Software Life Cycle Management (SDLC) and strong knowledge of products and capabilities within the Application Security market
• Proficiency in multiple security technologies, including but not limited to: Next-Gen Firewalls, DLP, SASE, NAC, PAM, EDR, NDR, SIEM, APPSEC, CWPP, CSPM, etc.
• Proficiency with networking security concepts such as routing, segmentation, zones, NAT, etc.
• Deep proficiency in client and server operating systems including Windows, Mac, and Linux
• General networking and security troubleshooting (firewalls, routing, NAT, etc.)
• Scripting and development skills (BASH, Perl, Python, PowerShell or Java) with strong knowledge of regular expressions
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP products and security best practices
• Working technical knowledge of advanced security concepts (Defense in Depth, Zero Trust etc.)
• Experience in a consultative or professional services role
• Industry Certifications from ISC2, SANS GIAC, vendor certifications, etc. preferred

• Work with GuidePoint Security vendors to understand and position their technologies, understand and articulate their value proposition to clients.
• Participate in field marketing to generate interest and provide information to the client prospect community to include driving attendance to such events and activities
• Represent GuidePoint Consultants to clients and be able to articulate our areas of expertise
• Set proper expectations and maintain open communication with clients and vendors through the lifecycle of the sales process.
• Effectively leverage supporting resources in the sales process with the spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
• Professionally develop and present sales presentations to large groups and executive level clients.
