As the Lead Instructor, you will be the face of lessons. You aren't just checking the math; you are bridge-building. What You’ll Do
- Lead Live Instruction: Deliver high-energy, synchronous remote lectures and "prompt-along" sessions covering ML pipelines, model deployment, and monitoring.

What You Bring

- Azure Fluency: Deep, hands-on expertise with Azure ML and AI Foundry. You should be able to navigate these platforms in your sleep.

Role Overview
General Assembly is seeking a senior-level Lead Instructor to deliver a high-impact, 90-minute virtual training session on Generative AI tools for our client on May 7th. The ideal candidate is a "maestro" of virtual environments, capable of commanding a room of over 100 participants while managing complex logistics like breakout rooms and live, unscripted demonstrations. You will model how Enterprise AI tools can be integrated into workplace functions, maintaining a high-energy, engaging environment. Curriculum and content is already created, General Assembly is seeking a master trainer to facilitate.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
1. Virtual Facilitation & Room Mastery
- Command the Room: Expertly manage and engage a virtual audience of 100+ participants.
- Orchestration: Act as a maestro of virtual platforms—managing breakout rooms, screen sharing, and stakeholder engagement simultaneously.
- Adaptive Pacing: Read the room and adapt delivery for large groups, modifying tone and expectations based on learner abilities (from individual contributors to executives).
- Live Facilitation: Provide spontaneous, "thinking-out-loud" live demos using real business use cases. You must be able to troubleshoot tool issues or prompt errors on the fly in front of a live audience.
2. Technical Expertise (Google AI Ecosystem)
- Tool Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with Gemini, Gems, Notebook LM, and Google Workspace Studio.
- GSuite Integration: Fluent across the full Google ecosystem (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and how AI features operate within them.
- Advanced Prompting:
- Apply structured and iterative techniques (e.g., Role, Objective, Specifics, or GCSE).

You'll serve as the subject matter expert for Pathway 3, validating the technical accuracy of pipeline content, governance frameworks, monitoring exercises, and async assets designed to bring CSAMs up to speed on taking AI systems from pilot to production at scale.
What you'll do
- Review and validate competencies and learning objectives for the MLOps / AI Platform Engineer pathway
- Validate technical accuracy of instructional slide content covering ML pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, and governance
- Review async assets including prompt-alongs and self-paced exercises for technical correctness and appropriate difficulty level for the learner population (experienced customer-facing professionals, not engineers)
- Participate in one structured SME review gate (approximately 1 week, early June)
- Provide a single round of revision feedback for the LED to implement before QA
What you bring
- 7+ years in software or data engineering with 3+ years in MLOps or ML platform roles in production
- Hands-on experience with ML pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, and governance at scale
- Strong DevOps and CI/CD fundamentals applied to ML workloads
- Python proficiency, data engineering foundations, and Azure cloud infrastructure fluency
- Familiarity with Azure ML, AI Foundry platform engineering patterns, and model lifecycle management
- AZ-900, AI-900, and DP-100 minimum; AI-102 preferred
- Former AI Platform or Azure ML engineer with Microsoft, Google, or similar company is a strong plus

In this 12-weeks (full-time) course, students learn and practice turning messy real-world datasets into actionable, data-driven insights they can communicate. We will be using Excel, SQL and Tableau as the primary tools for analysis. We are looking for an instructor to lead this part-time Analytics course (see course page). Though we provide a core curriculum along with instructor resources, you will have the opportunity to implement your ideas by adapting our materials as one of the course’s first instructors. This is an in-person role based in Bahrain. General Assembly will cover all travel-related expenses for qualified candidates.

What do we teach?
We adapt both our global curriculum and local approach to the technical trends and hiring environment of the times and cities we work in, but today our primary educational approach centers around JavaScript. In general, our curriculum is scaffolded to follow the historical evolution of web development. We start by teaching the fundamentals of programming and web design through JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. About 25% of our course (normally unit 2 of 4) focuses on Rails MVC or Django or similar frameworks, using that context to introduce databases, security, and other foundational knowledge. The rest of the course (units 3 and 4) focuses back on JavaScript. We cover API development in Node, then tackle one or more front-end MV* frameworks (Backbone, Angular, Ember, React). We also cover all sorts of other things that junior web developers need to know, like source control, team collaboration, and developer workflow.
We give students the chance to spend focused time building at least 4 major projects, in addition to other smaller projects and labs. About 20% of overall class time is spent on dedicated project work.
