The Department: Treasury
The Role: Senior Associate, Treasury Operations
The Senior Associate, Treasury Operations will be a key contributor in the overall evolution of Gemini’s Payments ecosystem and a critical participant in the implementation of best-in-class payments architecture and operations processing infrastructure. The person in this role will be tasked with maintaining all customer fund flows in and out of our bank accounts, while also preparing monthly summaries and journal entries for global customer cash to be used in financial reporting. They will assist in streamlining current payment processes, as well as assist in the rollout of future Payment products. This position requires an individual that is highly motivated and well organized, thinks critically and independently, maintains a ‘roll-up the sleeves’ philosophy, and thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and intellectually stimulating atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Process all funds from/in and to/out of customer accounts
- Reconcile daily customer cash transactions and prepare monthly accounting summaries & journal entries
- Participate in new product integrations
- Assist Gemini's Customer Support team with addressing customer issues related to fund transfers
- Collaborate with Gemini's Finance Tech and Project Management teams to assist in implementing new customer payment rails and appropriate cash reconciliation procedures
Qualifications:
- 5+ years Cash Management/Accounting experience (or similar operations)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of FedWire, ACH, SWIFT, FPS, CHAPS, and SEPA a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to function independently and efficiently
- Organized with the ability to multitask

The Role: Associate, Treasury Operations
Gemini is looking for a Treasury Operations Associate to support daily reconciliation of bank accounts and reporting on customer liabilities versus cash holdings to ensure financial integrity and compliance. The ideal candidate is a builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is energized by open-ended problem solving.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Bank Account Reconciliation – Perform daily reconciliations of firm and customer bank accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded, balances are verified, and discrepancies are promptly investigated and resolved.
- Customer Liability Reporting – Prepare and analyze reports comparing customer liabilities to cash held in bank accounts, ensuring customer funds are fully backed and aligned with regulatory and internal control requirements.
- Safeguarding Reconciliation & Transfers – Conduct safeguarding reconciliations to verify segregation of client funds, initiate or approve required transfers, and maintain compliance with safeguarding obligations.
- Monitor and manage the firm’s asset and liability positions to ensure appropriate funding, liquidity, and risk balance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A-levels (or equivalent secondary school qualification) required and 3 years of experience in the financial services industry or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Understanding of bank deposit processing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to distill complex topics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in finance or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in finance, ideally at a global bank, exchange, hedge fund, financial institution, or crypto trading platform.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience using SQL.
- Understanding of cryptocurrency markets, DeFi protocols, blockchain technology, and consumer credit markets.

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $82,500 - $110,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
In the United States, we offer a hybrid work approach at our hub offices, balancing the benefits of in-person collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. The Role: Director, Treasury
Our team is looking for an accomplished Treasury executive to lead our Treasury team in a rapidly growing business environment. This role will provide leadership and execution of core digital asset and fiat currency liquidity processes, as well as oversee payment operations and banking relationships. This position will also lead the development and execution of Gemini’s long-term balance sheet management strategies. The Treasury team plays a critical role in supporting customer experience through seamless processing of customer deposits and withdrawals. Earning and maintaining trust with our customers is paramount to our success. This is a highly strategic role with direct impact on financial resilience, operational scalability, and customer trust.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate leadership, ownership, and command of all operational and strategic elements of Treasury management, including liquidity management, funding, and balance sheet optimization
- Oversee all cash management functions including customer deposit and withdrawal activity, intercompany cash movement, and account funding
- Develop and optimize funding sources and channels for operations, and ensure sufficient liquidity and capital for all entities
- Ensure adequate liquidity for working capital needs while managing the company’s corporate cash and digital asset portfolio
- Ensure bank reconciliations and cash closing activities are performed at the end of each reporting period timely and accurately
- Analyze, monitor, and manage risk exposures across funding, liquidity, and capital, and develop pricing and capital framework for efficient allocation of capital throughout the holding group
- Partner with data and technology teams to streamline routine operations through automation of payment processes and reconciliations
- Monitor capital and liquidity position across business lines and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements
- Manage foreign exchange exposures in close coordination with trading operations
- Own liquidity management for spot and derivatives products across a wide range of fiat and digital currencies
- Serve as a key partner to Finance leadership on capital structure, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy
- Partner with FP&A to improve monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasting
- Support Legal & Compliance functions through implementation and execution of internal controls, policies, and procedures to promote sustainable operations
- Oversee banking and financial institution relationships. Negotiate bank transaction and service fees for both corporate and customer activity
- Source and maintain capital markets relationships to support the above efforts
- Mentor and develop staff to support the daily operations of the treasury department
- Develop the strategy and roadmap for evolution of the Treasury function as Gemini continues to grow
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of progressive experience in Treasury, Liquidity Management, or related functions, with leadership responsibility in complex financial environments
- Extensive knowledge of spot and derivatives trading products
- Strong analytical, financial and systems skills are required, with superior attention to detail
- Proven effectiveness at developing genuine cross-functional relationships
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments and drive strategic initiatives
- Leadership experience and demonstrated ability to manage teams
- Able to drive process improvements through technology solutions
- Curious and motivated to learn and master new skills with an enthusiastic, "roll up sleeves" personality
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; MBA a plus
