SUMMARY

The individual will be responsible for performing fund accounting and analysis functions for the firm’s Commingled Retail Investor Funds. The Retail Investor Funds include SEC registered investment companies operating as an interval fund and a tender offer fund. The interval fund’s investment strategy is in generating attractive risk-adjusted returns and current income through a variety of infrastructure investments. The tender offer fund’s investment strategy is in a variety of private equity secondary investments and co-investments. This individual will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the firm’s Commingled Retail Investor Funds. This individual will also work closely with GCM Grosvenor’s Finance leadership team.

As an onsite/hybrid employee, you are expected to be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the daily valuation process, coordinating with the GCM valuation and accounting teams, the third-party valuation firm, and the fund administrators, to ensure valuations updates are reflected in the daily net asset value of the Funds.
• Responsible for the day-to-day accounting and operations of the Funds including:
  • Reconciling and recording of investment and investor activity.
  • Preparation and oversight of the fund expense budget, monitoring of the expense cap as well as any reimbursements related to expense support payments due to the Advisor.
  • Calculation and review of the daily management fee and incentive fees and quarterly payment due to the Advisor.
  • Management of the funds’ cash balances, investment and investor activity, and overall fund liquidity to ensure investment and investor transactions are appropriately settled in coordination with the GCM treasury team
• Prepare daily NAV calculations as well as quarterly and annual NAV and financial statement packages, including investor reporting. 
• Responsible for the semi-annual and annual fund financial reporting and periodic financial filings of the infrastructure interval fund (N-CSR, N-Port, etc.). Includes running a reporting calendar, managing fund service providers, and assisting with the annual fund audit.
• Preparation of monthly advisory entity financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP and under existing SOX regime requirements in accordance with GCM’s monthly accounting close calendar.
• Preparation and presentation of financial materials for the Board of Directors quarterly meeting.
• Manage, monitor, and provide guidance to the outsourced accounting provider(s).
• Collaborate with other teams throughout the firm, including tax, legal, treasury, client services, portfolio management, etc.
• Support investment and client relationship personnel on due diligence requests, marketing materials and ad-hoc requests.
• Assist in preparation of financial statement audits and regulatory compliance reporting for the various partnerships and companies.
• Assist in special projects as requested.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• BA/BS in Accounting/Finance with outstanding academic credentials;
• 8+ years of experience working for a financial services firm or top-tier accounting firm.
• CPA preferred.
• Accounting experience in managing mutual funds, private equity, hedge funds or similar types of alternative products.
• Experience working in the mutual fund industry and familiarity with the regulatory requirements of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and SEC regulations highly preferred.

SUMMARY

As a member of Compliance, the individual in this position will be responsible for administering and supporting the compliance functions of GCM Grosvenor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting with Federal, State, and International regulatory filings (including Form ADV, Form PF, CPO PQR/CTA PR, AIFMD Annex IV, Forms U4, U5, BD, BR, D, and DA).
• Reviewing investor subscription agreements to comply with certain requirements, including AML and KYC.
• Helping maintain information barriers program, including but not limited to, restricted list maintenance, conflict reviews and approving expert networks.

• Bachelor’s degree required. Other certifications or licenses, such as ACAMS, FINRA Securities Industry Essenitials (SIE) and Series 7 are a plus.
• 2 to 5 years of experience working in a legal or compliance related role within a financial services firm (broker-dealer, investment adviser, etc.), regulatory body (FINRA, SEC, other SRO) or at a compliance consultant or law firm dealing with broker-dealer, investment advisor, and AML matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Corporate Accounting Associate to join our Accounting Policy & SEC Reporting team. The role will be responsible for the preparation of annual statutory financial statements, assistance in the preparation of the Firm’s external financial reporting function (SEC financial reporting and compliance), and coordination with our external auditors. This position will support the timely financial completeness of all periodic, annual, and other financial-related SEC and other statutory filings.

• Assistance in the preparation of periodic financial filings (10-K, 10-Qs, Earnings Releases). Includes gathering and analyzing relevant data to prepare disclosures.
