The Role

We’re seeking a Senior+ Software Engineer to own and scale the backend systems powering our clinician-facing provider platform. While this is a full-stack environment, your focus will be primarily on backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that support clinician workflows, reporting, and internal tools.

You’ll work closely with product, design, and other engineers to deliver high-impact, production-grade systems. There’s also flexibility to contribute to front-end work (dashboards, report builders, internal tools), but the core of your impact will be in building robust, scalable backend systems.

About the Role

As the Head of Customer Success at Frontera Health, you'll own the health and growth of our clinic partner portfolio while also shaping how the CS function operates at scale. You're not just managing accounts — you're building the playbooks, processes, and team culture that determine how we retain and grow customers over the long term.

This is a player/coach role. You'll directly own a handful of key accounts, working hands-on with BCBAs and clinic owners to drive adoption, surface value, and deliver measurable outcomes. At the same time, you'll lead and develop a small team of Customer Success Managers and oversee our Customer Support function, setting the standard for what great looks like across the entire post-sales experience.

The right person for this role operates with ownership. You move fast, build structure where there isn't any, and connect every client interaction back to business impact. What You'll Do

Own the Customer Lifecycle (Signature through Expansion)

• You will directly own and manage a select group of key clinic partner accounts, serving as their strategic advisor, primary relationship owner, and escalation point, setting the tone for a service experience that partners consistently describe as exceptional.
• You will own the end to end upsell process by identifying expansion opportunities through usage analytics and AI assisted account analysis, building the business case, leading the commercial conversation, and driving deal closes in partnership with Sales.
• You will develop repeatable upsell motions tied to clear ROI, including expansion triggers, pricing frameworks, and objection handling playbooks, so that expansion becomes a predictable revenue stream rather than an ad hoc effort.

Drive Adoption, Usage, and Portfolio Health

• You will monitor and analyze account health metrics across the full portfolio using AI augmented dashboards and signal detection, identifying risks early and taking decisive action to protect retention and drive expansion.
• You will build and champion scalable CS playbooks, renewal forecasting models, upsell motions, and support workflows that the full team can execute consistently, all designed from the ground up to leverage AI for documentation, triage, and client facing resources.
• You will use data, along with AI to accelerate the analysis of it, to tell the story of your portfolio by tracking adoption, utilization, upsell pipeline, and client outcomes, and translating those insights into clear recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.

Act as the Voice of the Customer

• You will serve as a senior voice for the customer internally, surfacing patterns across accounts to shape product decisions and inform company strategy.
• You will pilot new engagement strategies, including AI driven ones, and share learnings across the team, continuously raising the bar for how CS and Support operate at Frontera.

What You Bring

Experience

• You have 6+ years in Customer Success, Account Management, or a similar client facing role in SaaS or healthcare technology.
• You have 1-3 years of experience leading or mentoring a CS team, with a track record of developing people and driving team level results.
• You have proven experience owning an upsell or expansion number, and you have identified opportunities, built the case, led commercial conversations, and closed deals, whether alongside a Sales counterpart or independently.
• You have experience overseeing or closely partnering with a Customer Support function, and you understand the full post sales and implementation lifecycle and how CS and Support work together.
• Familiarity with ABA practices, behavioral health, or clinical settings is a meaningful plus.

Qualifications

Required

• 6–10 years of accounting experience
  
  
• Experience in high-growth startups or small, fast-moving companies
  
  
• Deep hands-on expertise in:

• Strong operator mindset. Comfortable executing, not just reviewing

Role Overview

Frontera is hiring a Head of Growth (Marketing) to build and scale our growth and marketing function at a pivotal stage of company expansion.

This is not a narrow performance role. It is a senior leadership role responsible for the full marketing surface area. This means growth, demand generation, lifecycle, positioning, and trust-building, with accountability for measurable outcomes.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will own how Frontera goes to market across providers, enterprise partners, and an emerging direct-to-parent motion. You will be responsible for building the systems, team foundation, and growth architecture that compounds over time.

Success in this role means combining analytical rigor and experimentation with strong marketing instincts: building trust in a regulated category while driving adoption, pipeline, and long-term brand pull.

What You’ll Own

Growth Strategy and GTM Architecture

• Own Frontera’s end-to-end growth strategy across B2B, B2B2C, and consumer entry points
• Build and scale performance marketing and lifecycle systems across acquisition, retention, and reactivation
• Design experimentation frameworks that increase learning velocity and improve CAC/ROI over time
• Develop funnel forecasting and growth models to guide prioritization, resourcing, and GTM decisions
• Align Product, Sales, Clinical, and Ops around activation, adoption, and conversion through clear growth metrics
• Build repeatable demand generation systems across inbound, outbound support, lifecycle, and community-driven channels
  
  

Marketing Foundations: Positioning, Brand, and Trust

• Own Frontera’s positioning and messaging across both enterprise and parent audiences
• Establish Frontera as the trusted platform for families and clinicians 
• Build content and narrative systems that drive adoption, credibility, and long-term pull
  Develop partner and ecosystem strategies that expand reach and reinforce trust
• Ensure brand, product storytelling, and growth execution stay tightly integrated as we scale
  
  

Build the Function From Zero to One

• Build the growth and marketing function from the ground up: operating cadence, tooling, early hires, and execution systems
• Lead early GTM tests directly where needed, then scale through process and team
• Implement modern marketing and analytics infrastructure with a bias toward speed, automation, and clarity
• Leverage AI-enabled workflows to increase execution leverage and insight generation
• Communicate growth performance, learnings, and priorities to executive leadership and the board
• Lay the foundation for durable marketing systems that support long-term scale
  
  

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience across growth marketing, demand generation, and broader marketing leadership in high-growth environments
• Track record of building marketing and growth systems at early-stage companies (zero-to-one or one-to-scale)
• Deep fluency in experimentation, funnel analytics, lifecycle marketing, and ROI-driven execution
• Strong marketing instincts around positioning, messaging, and trust-building in sensitive categories
• Experience partnering closely with Product and Sales to define and scale GTM motions
• Systems mindset: able to reduce chaos, increase clarity, and scale what works

• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or other trust-driven regulated markets
• Exposure to B2B2C models (consumer wedge + enterprise or payer expansion)
• Hands-on experience using AI and automation to increase marketing velocity

We have determined a salary range for this position that takes into account several factors including experience, knowledge, education, skills, and abilities. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline and the exact salary will be determined based on the individual’s qualifications and experience, with consideration given to the factors listed above. All full time employee benefits include a stake in shared success through stock options, health benefits, 401(k) plan, and responsible PTO.

Expected Salary Range in Denver:
$180,000-$220,000

Expected Salary Range in San Francisco:
$240,000-$270,000
