POSITION OVERVIEW:

Fortera is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Content Creator Intern to join our Marketing & Creative team. This internship is ideal for a student passionate about storytelling, visual media, and digital engagement.

The intern will support content creation efforts across multiple platforms, helping bring Fortera’s brand, technology, and culture to life through compelling visuals and social media content.

Location: This is a fully onsite position based at our San Jose office. Applicants should be able to relocate independently, as relocation support is not offered.

This internship program is designed for students who will continue their academic studies following the internship and are seeking hands-on experience contributing to real-world marketing and creative projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Capture and produce high-quality photo and video content featuring team members, projects, events, and company initiatives
• Assist with short-form and long-form content creation for social media and digital platforms
• Support social media management, including drafting posts, scheduling content, and monitoring engagement
• Collaborate with the Marketing & Creative team on content campaigns and brand initiatives
• Help maintain organized digital asset libraries (photos, videos, graphics)
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh content ideas
• Ensure all content aligns with Fortera’s brand voice and visual identity

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of study in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field by the start of the internship
• Internship eligibility: Candidates must be actively enrolled in an academic program at the start of the internship and have at least one academic term (quarter or semester) remaining following the internship period
• Strong interest in content creation and digital storytelling
• Experience with photography and/or videography (academic, personal, or professional)
• Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of content editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar)
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Basic video editing skills
• Understanding of social media trends and analytics
• Creative eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling
• Portfolio required (please include link in resume or application; applications without a portfolio will not be considered)

COMPENSATION:

The hourly range for this job is $25.00 - $30.00, commensurate with experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Laboratory Technician will support laboratory efforts to develop more sustainable cements by handling and preparing materials for routine cement and concrete testing in accordance with ASTM standards. The role also includes maintaining assigned laboratory equipment. This position will be part of the Product Team within the R&D Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately weigh up each material as listed in the mix designs and set up equipment/molds for trial testing.
• Perform routine laboratory tests, including but not limited to mortar and concrete compressive strength, mortar flow, and concrete slump.
• Monitor the product testing schedule daily to ensure that all required samples are properly handled.
• Maintain accurate records of experimental data, observations, and results.
• Enter test results daily into a computer database or notebook and share results with appropriate team members in a timely manner.
• Develop familiarity with product formulations and raw materials and performance properties.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain clean lab working area after completion of job tasks and dispose of debris properly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• GED minimum.
• Ability to perform work in a consistent and repeatable fashion.
• Ability to work cooperatively in fast paced environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of lab experience (college labs, internships, work experience, etc.)
• Experience with standardized mortar or concrete testing.
• Any relevant cement/concrete accreditations or certifications (e.g. ACI, cement physical tester certificate, field or laboratory concrete testing certificates)
• Concrete field experience, manufacturing, alternative cements or mix design knowledge is a plus

COMPENSATION:

The hourly range for this job is $22.00 - $26.00, commensurate with experience.
