Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and disciplined Trader to execute and manage long only and hedged equity strategies in separately managed accounts (SMAs). The equities strategies include the utilization of options and/or short positions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of options pricing, volatility, risk management, and execution, along with a solid grasp of how these strategies are applied within broader portfolios. This includes an understanding of underlying equity positions, position sizing, sector exposures, and how options impact overall portfolio construction. This role also demands strong quantitative skills, real-time decision-making ability, and a consistent track record of disciplined execution.

Focus provides team members the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. Our hybrid model is defined as 3 days in office work required per week, while giving team members the option to work remotely 2 days per week, or as assigned by their team leader.

Primary Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor the individual stock (long only and hedged) trading strategies across Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs).
• Maintain a strong understanding of underlying portfolios, including individual holdings, position weights, target allocations, and sector exposures, and how these inputs inform options strategy implementation.
• Execute tax-loss harvesting trades within the confines of the aforementioned strategies.
• Manage trade execution, client allocations, and performance reporting processes.
• Provide feedback and insight to the Portfolio Management and investment teams to inform and refine investment strategies.
• Maintain and manage risk exposures in real-time, adhering to firm and regulatory limits.
• Use proprietary and third-party tools to model trade outcomes and assess risk/reward profiles.
• Collaborate with sell-side firms, portfolio managers, research, operations, and technology teams to ensure accuracy across trade allocations and performance reporting.
• Generate performance reports and contribute to post-trade analysis and strategy improvement.
• Stay up to date on market developments, trading regulations, and industry best practices.
• Manage multiple workflows and projects simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
• Communicate to stakeholders, including firm advisors and clients (as needed).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of trading experience, preferably with individual equities and listed options.
• Strong knowledge of derivatives pricing models (Black-Scholes, Greeks, volatility skew/smile).
• Proficiency in trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, ThinkOrSwim, TradeStation, Eikon) and analytical tools (Python, Excel/VBA, R, or similar).
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent risk management discipline and ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Detail oriented with the ability to develop and manage checks and balances to ensure accuracy of trades and allocations to client accounts.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be $125,000 - $150,000 per year. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The VP of FP&A is a senior finance leader that will report to the Head of FP&A and lead enterprise-wide FP&A efforts around budgeting, planning, annual forecasting and management reporting for Focus.  This role will partner closely with business unit and corporate finance teams as well as business and functional leaders to build scalable and consistent processes and drive deeper insights and predictive measurements of performance.  

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide annual budgeting, forecast and strategic plan which includes the long-range planning process in coordination with business units, strategy team and corporate teams
• Deliver enterprise monthly financial reporting packages to management and the Board with clear interpretation and actionable insights
• Develop and analyze key performance indicators and trends across Focus and business units
• Help translate performance and data into strategic recommendations and business narratives.

Qualifications

This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $225,000- $275,000 base salary compensation range. Position Summary
Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman is seeking a Tax Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals. This position can be based out of Century City on a hybrid basis. The Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and tax aspects related to assigned client accounts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervision and training of assigned Staff Accountants and assigned Account Managers
•  Review and possible preparation of moderate to complex, multi-state tax returns (individual, S corporation, C corporation, partnership, estate, and trusts)
• Stay abreast of changing state and federal laws, policies, and economic/political climate which may affect clients’ finances
• Supervise and review Staff Accountant’s and/or Senior Staff Accountant’s preparation of moderately complex tax returns
• Conduct tax research and multi-jurisdictional planning, and foreign touring clearances
• Review financial reports that may include net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, tour reconciliations, etc.
• Communication with clients and client representatives via phones, email, and in-person meetings
• Act as a coach and trainer to develop staff members into efficient and effective client team members, and address performance issues and concerns as needed
• Assist Managing Director in identifying and onboarding prospective clients
• Support Account Managers to provide highest level of customer service by assisting with contracts, budgeting, home purchases, tours, and year-end

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 4+ years in a similar role is required
• Master's Degree, CPA and/or 6+ years in a similar role is highly preferred
• Basic understanding of AgilLink is highly preferred
• Familiarity with GoSystems, CCH Axcess, or SurePrep required
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws and rule/regulations
• Sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow through
• Commitment to professionalism and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a trusting relationship with staff and clients

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $135,000 - $175,000. • Prepare and review subscription documents for alternative investments (i.e., private equity funds, private real estate funds and hedge funds) and handle follow up questions and requests for supporting materials.
