About You

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, economics, mathematics, physics, statistics, or another qualifying field
• Minimum of two years' work experience involving the development of quantitative trading strategies in futures and/or equities
• Experience conducting data analysis involving large financial datasets to find intraday signals for mid- to high-frequency trading
• Exceptionally mathematically proficient
• Possesses a hunger to work on some of the most complex mathematical problems
• Risk taker and problem solver
• Explores innovative thinking and analytical methodologies
• Extremely detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
• Eager to continue to learn and grow your skills
• Proficiency in statistical languages and/or packages in R, python, or similar

Annual Base Salary: $300,000.  Total compensation packages are comprised of base salary and a discretionary bonus.

About the Program

Five Rings offers an intensive 9 week summer internship program that runs from the beginning of June through the beginning of August. The program includes immersion in hands-on projects, classroom instruction, and in-house built strategy games. Interns will work closely with the research team on development projects. You will have a mentor fully dedicated to you during the internship. 

You will take part in a series of talks to introduce you to key trading concepts. We also offer a variety of activities such as strategic game nights, nights out in NY, dinners, and so much more.  

About You 

• Must be working towards a PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, economics, or another qualifying field
• Exceptional at math and with other quantitative skills
• Has a hunger to work on some of the most complex mathematical problems we find
• Must enjoy problem solving as this is at the forefront of the role
• Enjoys initiating/acting on a thought or idea as soon as it comes to mind
• Proven track record of success within candidates field of specialty
• Excited to work as a team, but also comfortable testing ideas independently
• Must have basic programming experience through internships or academia
• Meticulous and detail-oriented
• Eager to learn

Annual Base Salary: $300,000. Additionally, interns receive a sign on bonus and corporate housing.
