FGS Global (FGS), a leading strategic communications and government relations firm, is seeking a motivated, sharp and energetic junior-level professional to join the firm’s Strategic Communications practice. This position is within the practice’s Energy & Sustainability group and based in our Washington, DC or New York City office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Basic writing and research tasks (including emails, meeting agendas, messaging documents, press materials, client documents, owned media content, etc.)
• Assist client teams in prep for meetings/pitches
• Monitor and/or compile daily press clips for multiple clients
• Build and maintain press lists
• Pitch media contacts
• Write briefing documents, talking points, press releases, etc.
• Maintain knowledge of evolving policy and political issues that impact the energy & sustainability sector
• Administrative support for client teams and senior staff, including scheduling, booking travel, and filtering internal and external requests
• Contribute to firm’s new business process and efforts

 ATTRIBUTES

• A BA/BS degree in a related field with 1-2 years of relevant internship experience
• Interest, familiarity and experience in energy & sustainability issues
• Ability to project manage and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Extremely strong writing and communications skills; ability to produce clear, concise materials within tight deadlines
• Superior research and editing skills
• Ability to identify and cultivate key media contacts and outlets for a range of clients
• Experience pitching stories to local and national news outlets is ideal
• Experience with rapid response or 'war room' efforts is ideal

You'll build enterprise integrations that connect our AI platform to Microsoft 365 and other corporate systems. This is hands-on infrastructure work: implementing authentication flows, managing permissions, and creating data pipelines that enable AI agents to operate securely within enterprise environments. 

You'll work closely with senior engineers to expand our platform's integration capabilities—turning technical specifications into production code that consultants rely on daily. 

Your Responsibilities 

Integration Development: 

• Implement OAuth-based authentication flows with proper scope management
• Build data pipelines for email, calendar, file storage, and collaboration platforms
• Handle complex API scenarios like recurring events, large file uploads, and rate limiting
• Create resource mapping between internal systems and external platforms 

Microsoft Graph & Enterprise APIs: 

• Develop integrations using Microsoft Graph API across multiple services
• Implement search and query capabilities using platform-specific APIs
• Optimize performance for high-volume operations
• Build resilient error handling and retry logic 

Security & Compliance: 

• Work with IT teams on app registration and permission workflows
• Implement secure token management with refresh and caching strategies
• Follow enterprise security patterns and data access policies
• Document integration approaches and technical decisions 

Production Support: 

• Monitor integration health and respond to issues
• Handle API throttling and service disruptions gracefully
• Debug authentication failures and permission problems
• Contribute to team knowledge base and documentation 

Your Profile 

Required: 

• 3+ years backend engineering with API integration experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture (Azure AD, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online)
• Solid grasp of Microsoft's permission model (delegated vs. application permissions, consent frameworks, API scopes)
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 flows and enterprise authentication patterns
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph API
• Cloud platform experience with Azure and GCP
• Ability to build resilient systems with proper error handling 

Strongly Preferred: 

• MSAL Node library implementation experience
• Understanding of SharePoint site architecture, document libraries, and Teams structure
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or other Microsoft data architectures
• Model Context Protocol (MCP) implementation experience
• Experience with caching systems (Redis or similar)
• Background working with IT/security teams on enterprise integrations
• Familiarity with AI/LLM platforms or agent systems 

Bonus: 

• Azure AD app registration and administration experience

Position Overview

FGS Global looking for an experienced UX Designer to provide project support to the firm’s Website team. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both UX thinking and execution, and who is comfortable moving from research and wireframes into production-ready site structures using Webflow. The UX Designer will partner with creative designers, developers, and account teams to design user-centered experiences for the firm’s clients that are practical, scalable, and aligned with business goals. 

This engagement may be performed on-site or hybrid from our Washington, D.C., New York City, or Kingston, NY offices, as needed for collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Prototyping 
• Create wireframes, low- and mid-fidelity prototypes, and UX documentation in Figma
• Develop sitemaps and page structures as part of a scalable design-to-build workflow

Webflow Execution 

• Collaborate closely with developers and directly implement designs in the Webflow platform
• Ensure UX intent is preserved through build, including layout, interactions, animations, and accessibility best practices

Collaboration 

• Work alongside UX/UI designers, developers, and project managers to iterate on solutions, while carefully tracking and incorporating feedback
• Present design and UX rationale clearly to internal stakeholders and account teams

Design Systems & Assets 

• Contribute to and help maintain design systems, component libraries, and UX guidelines
• Create UX-related assets that support consistent implementation across projects

Iteration & Quality 

• Apply feedback from testing, internal reviews, and client input to refine designs
• Ensure experiences meet usability, accessibility, performance, and motion standards

UX Strategy & Research 

• Plan and conduct user research activities such as interviews, usability testing, and content audits
• Translate research findings into clear UX recommendations, user flows, and information architecture

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a UX Designer (agency or in-house)
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility, and responsive design
• Strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Practical experience working with and building in Webflow
• Hands-on experience using Relume for sitemaps, wireframes, and scalable site structures, is a plus
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to enhance design workflow and creativity—including generative AI applications (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini), image and video generation platforms (e.g., Midjourney, Sora), or AI product prototyping tools (e.g., v0 or equivalents)
• Experience designing and implementing website animations and interactions
• Basic understanding of front-end concepts (HTML/CSS) as they relate to UX
• Ability to think strategically while also executing at a detailed level
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in cross-functional teams
• A portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, process, and shipped work

This will be a 1099 independent contractor engagement, and the initial term will be for three months, with the option to extend. A submitted portfolio will be required. 

The hourly rate will be between $50-$65/hr.
