As Product Manager, New Product at Fabric, you will be fully responsible for the product and all related work that impacts its success. This is a brand new team with the task of building a 0-1 product for parents as it relates to financial planning. As the owner of your product, you will:

• Develop a product vision (where you see the product in the next year, three years, five years) and product strategy (how we’ll get to the vision)
• With limited direction, prioritize and implement the highest impact features that solve our hardest problems (features that our users love in ways that work for the business)
• Partner closely with your team, adjacent product teams, and stakeholders to build solutions that sit at the intersection of user pain points and company goals

This role is 100% remote.

Role @ Fabric

• User Insights & Product Discovery: Deeply understand our users’ problems, needs, and behaviors through qualitative and quantitative research methods. Engage in continuous product discovery processes, including user research, user testing, and prototyping to validate hypotheses and ensure that we are building the right features and products. Translate these insights into clear, actionable product strategies and roadmaps that are aligned with company goals.
• Experimentation & Validation: Design and execute experiments to test assumptions and hypotheses about product features and user needs. Use A/B testing, MVPs, and other experiment frameworks to validate ideas with minimal risk and investment. Use the learnings to iteratively refine product concepts before committing significant resources.
• Product Vision & Strategy: Develop and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's goals and resonates with user needs. Ensure that the product discovery and validation feed into the vision and strategic planning, enabling informed decision-making and prioritization. At the same time, have an opinion on when to accept technical and product debt and when to pay it down.
• Execution Excellence: Lead cross-functional teams (including design, engineering, data, research, marketing, and support) to define requirements and bring validated products to market. Focus the team on high-impact initiatives, ensuring a lean approach to development and a rapid iteration cycle based on user feedback, data monitoring analysis, and if we are hitting our company goals.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize and synthesize data from user interactions, user research, market analysis, and experimentation outcomes to inform product decisions. Establish and monitor metrics to measure product performance, user satisfaction, and business impact, synthesizing these insights to prioritize feature development and improvements against our company goals
• Stakeholder Management & Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to align on product goals, communicate discoveries and insights, and ensure a shared understanding of product direction (e.g., scoping of new features,  progress on features in development, and releases of new features). Prioritize initiatives based on strategic importance and resource availability, managing expectations and reporting on progress. 
• Mentorship & Leadership: Coach and mentor product management staff in product discovery techniques, user research methodologies, and experiment design. Be open to receiving coaching and feedback to continuously improve product management skills. Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, experimentation, and user-centric product development within the team. This is especially important given our company’s remote nature.

Salary Range

$150,000 - $190,000

• Collaborate with other engineers to help us continually improve our codebase, to support a growing startup with big ambitions.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• 5+ years of software development experience in a product-centric environment.
• 3+ Experience in a JavaScript or TypeScript environment.
• Experience with modern, functional UI paradigms. We use React.
• Expertise building highly performant User Interfaces and the scalable, reliable APIs that hydrate them.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000

Fabric by Gerber Life, the one-stop shop for parents to secure their family's financial futures, is looking for a Senior Product Designer. Acquired by Western & Southern in 2022, we have the backing of a 130+ year-old company, balanced with the culture and velocity of a startup. This role will report to the VP of Design and Brand. 

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who’s eager to help us create an engaging user experience for parents looking to invest for their children. The ideal candidate is someone who can problem solve, plan strategically, and think tactically as a partner with Product and Engineering. You’ll be able to drive the shape of the product with research and data while executing design work using wireframes, mockups, user journeys, and prototypes. You’ll advocate for design by articulating your rationale to create a unified, optimized user experience.

This role is 100% remote.

Role & responsibilities:

• Lead design for our kids investment account product, geared towards helping parents invest for their children while they’re still minors
• Own the end-to-end user experience from research and prototyping to final design hand-off 
• Work with Product Management and Engineering teams to improve product engagement and retention
• Be an advocate for the customer—get to know our users through user testing and interviews, and know how to balance velocity without sacrificing user experience or design principles
• Identify problems and opportunities and develop hypotheses to test, learn, and iterate
  
  

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• 6+ years of experience as a key member of a design team with experience in 1-to-n improvements, specifically around engagement and retention
• Well-honed user-centered design skills—you are detail-oriented and have a deep understanding of design fundamentals and are fluent in Figma
• A strong understanding of usability, interaction design, visual design, front-end development, and mobile-first UX/UI
• Ability to understand and articulate the strategic impact of your design vision to stakeholders, and influence multi-disciplinary teams and partners across the organization
• Ability to work in an agile, dynamic work environment with a start-up mentality 
• You’re a self starter and a critical thinker, able to break down complex problems into manageable tasks to deliver holistic design solutions
• Portfolio or samples of responsive web product design work informed by quantitative and qualitative user research
• A background in fintech or related industries is a plus 

The base salary range for this position is estimated to be between $132,000-170,000 annually. Please note this range reflects base salary only, and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Your salary will be determined by various factors, including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business needs.
