Job Responsibilities

• Establish and grow the Small Animal Internal Medicine service
• Provide advanced diagnostic and therapeutic care for internal medicine cases
• Perform and interpret procedures such as ultrasound and endoscopy
• Collaborate closely with surgery, anesthesia, and referring veterinarians
• Build and maintain strong relationships with referring practices and clients
• Contribute to clinical excellence and the advancement of veterinary medicine

Qualifications

• DVM (or equivalent) required
• Board-certified (DACVIM-SAIM) or residency-trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine
• At least 1+ year of clinical experience preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Passion for developing a service and delivering exceptional patient care

VERG Brooklyn is seeking a full-time boarded Veterinary Internist or residency-trained veterinarian to join our growing and busy Internal Medicine team with two other internists. This collaborative team is well known for delivering high-quality, compassionate care to clients, patients, and referring veterinarians. We foster an environment where all team members are respected, heard, and truly passionate about patient care and outcomes. This is an opportunity to experience life in the NYC metro area while practicing with a high-caliber, dedicated team where learning and medical progression are paramount.

Our hospital is the premier emergency and critical care facility in the area, working closely with all of our specialty departments to ensure the highest quality of care for hospitalized patients. We also have a talented and supportive anesthesia department headlined by two anesthesiologists, available to assist with your medical caseload. In addition, VERG Brooklyn has a comprehensive team of specialists, including Surgery, Oncology, Neurology, Radiology, and Cardiology.
