About the role 

At Everway, we're building AI capabilities that serve 250M+ users and transform how 1,500+ employees work. We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to be the founding engineer for AI Enablement — building MCP infrastructure, agentic workflows, and driving AI adoption across the business. 

This is a founding role with significant growth potential. You'll be the engineer who builds the core infrastructure that connects AI agents to our internal systems. You'll ship production solutions and contribute to the roadmap as the function evolves. As we scale, you'll have the opportunity to grow into a leadership position and help build a team. 

You'll build MCP servers that securely connect LLMs to Salesforce, Snowflake, Google Workspace, and internal tools. You'll develop agentic workflows that automate business processes across sales, marketing, customer success, and operations. And you'll work directly with stakeholders across the organisation to understand requirements and deliver working solutions. 

We've already demonstrated strong traction: 400+ weekly active AI users, tools delivering measurable ROI, and executive support for ambitious next steps. You'll join at the right moment to take on a critical growth area and make it your own. 

Main Responsibilities 

• MCP Development: Build and maintain Model Context Protocol servers that securely connect LLMs to enterprise systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Snowflake, Google Workspace, internal APIs) 
• Agentic Workflow Development: Develop and ship production-grade agentic workflows with appropriate orchestration, guardrails, and observability 
• Systems Integration: Build robust, secure integrations between AI systems and enterprise tools, handling authentication, rate limiting, and data governance requirements ● Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success to understand automation needs and deliver solutions
• Technical Documentation: Create documentation and reusable patterns that enable broader AI adoption across engineering teams 
• Grow with the Function: As we scale, help recruit and mentor team members to expand AI Enablement capabilities 

Essential Criteria 

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience) 
• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with meaningful exposure to AI/ML systems in production 
• Hands-on experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) — you've built MCP servers or have deep familiarity with the architecture and specification 
• Experience building agentic AI systems: multi-step workflows, tool use, orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar) 
• Strong production Python skills — API development, async programming, systems integration 
• Experience integrating with enterprise systems (CRM, data warehouses, productivity tools) via APIs 
• Solid engineering fundamentals: CI/CD, testing, containerisation, cloud deployment (AWS preferred) 
• Comfortable working autonomously and delivering in a fast-moving environment
• Clear communicator — able to work with non-technical stakeholders and translate requirements into working solutions 

Desirable Criteria 

• Experience with multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock) 
• Interest in growing into team leadership and mentoring 
• Knowledge of AI governance, data protection, and responsible AI practices 
• Background in internal tooling, platform engineering, or developer experience 
• Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or scaling organisations

About the role

We're looking for a Senior AI/ML Developer to join our Product AI team and play a leading role in delivering production AI features that make a genuine difference to students, educators, and learners with diverse needs.

This is a hands-on engineering role. You'll take AI features from concept through to deployment and monitoring :writing production-grade code, integrating with our product codebases, and owning the full lifecycle. We're not looking for someone who prototypes and hands off; you'll be the engineer who ships and supports your work in production.

You'll work across multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS Bedrock) as well as open-source models, selecting the right approach for each problem. You'll have the opportunity to build agentic workflows, and contribute to our evolving AI architecture. You'll collaborate directly with product and engineering teams to shape how AI capabilities are integrated across our portfolio.

We have proprietary data, in-house expertise in linguistics and accessibility, and ambitious plans for what's next. You'll join a supportive team where mentorship flows both ways and where your contributions will directly shape products used at scale.

Main Responsibilities

• End-to-End Delivery: Own the full lifecycle of AI projects-from ideation and data collection to production deployment and post-launch evaluation.
• Production Engineering: Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code that integrates directly into product codebases
• Systems Integration: Implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect LLMs with proprietary data sources and internal tools securely 
• Model Orchestration: Scope and build Generative AI solutions using a mixture of SaaS (OpenAI, AWS Bedrock) and Open Source solutions.
• Scaling & Monitoring: Work with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to scale and monitor AI solutions in production

Essential Criteria

• 3+ years of experience  in a production ML/AI engineering role.
• Proven experience writing production-grade Python code and deploying ML models at scale.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and a track record of continuous learning in the rapidly evolving AI space
• Hands-on experience building and deploying applications with multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS Bedrock)
• Experience with open-source LLMs (e.g., Llama, Mistral) including deployment and/or fine-tuning
• Demonstrated ability to take AI features from prototype through to production
• Solid software engineering fundamentals - CI/CD, testing, containerisation, cloud deployment
• Full lifecycle ML experience: data, training/prompting, evaluation, deployment, monitoring

Desirable Criteria

• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience building evaluation frameworks for LLM applications
• Knowledge of AI governance, data protection, and responsible AI practices

Everway helps hundreds of millions of people across education, accessibility, and workplace inclusion understand and be understood. AI is how we scale that, internally and externally. We are hiring a Principal AI Product Owner to lead our internal AI initiative portfolio.

This is a product role at the centre of how AI is applied across the business, for someone who is genuinely excited by innovation and wants to work at the leading edge of applied AI. You will help drive some of the most advanced internal AI initiatives in the company, spanning new ways of using LLMs, agentic systems, and emerging AI capabilities to solve real business problems.

You will work with senior leaders to identify where AI can create meaningful advantage, prioritise the opportunities that matter, and shape them into clear, executable initiatives that the AI engineering team can deliver.

You sit between business intent and technical execution. You bring structure to ambiguity, turning broad ideas into well-defined initiatives with explicit success criteria and clear ownership. You ensure the portfolio stays focused on high-value problems, that work is properly framed before it is built, and that every initiative has a clear business owner, a defined metric, and a credible way to track impact once delivered.

You are responsible for the internal AI portfolio as a whole: how work is prioritised, how initiatives are defined, and how progress is tracked. You will operate across multiple concurrent initiatives, maintaining clarity on what is being built, why it matters, and whether it is delivering value.

You report directly to the EVP of AI and work closely with leaders across the business. This role suits someone with strong product judgement, high standards, and a desire to work on AI initiatives that sit at the forefront of innovation in technology and education.

Main Responsibilities

• Champion AI across the business: identify opportunities, demonstrate what is possible, and build enthusiasm for AI-driven ways of working
• Act as the bridge between the AI engineering team and the business, ensuring initiatives are grounded in real operational need and that both sides understand each other
• Build simple, high-impact solutions where a quick prototype or lightweight automation solves the problem without a full engineering build
• Run the internal AI portfolio end-to-end: prioritise initiatives, scope them with clear success criteria and named business owners, define requirements for engineering, and track ROI and progress against outcomes
• Run the operating cadence and produce high-quality leadership outputs: decision memos, portfolio reviews, and executive updates
• Use AI tools daily to synthesise, draft, prototype, and accelerate your own work. Stay close to the frontier and bring relevant developments to the team proactively

Essential Criteria

• 4+ years of experience in product management, technical programme management, or delivery leadership in a software or AI environment; or 3+ years in AI engineering or senior data science with a desire to move into a product ownership role
• Strong working understanding of modern AI systems: LLM-based workflows, agentic architectures, applied automation, and evaluation
• Hands-on, daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) as genuine productivity multipliers
• Experience working directly with senior stakeholders and translating strategic priorities into executable plans
• Excellent written communication: requirements, briefs, decision documents, and reporting for mixed technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to connect product decisions to business value

Desirable Criteria

• Experience building or shipping internal AI products, workflow automation, or agentic systems
• Exposure to LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, or agentic workflow design
• Background in or close to software engineering, with an understanding of what shipping involves
• Experience with enterprise AI tool deployments (ChatGPT Enterprise, Gemini, Cursor, or similar)
• Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI, or data protection in a commercial context
• Experience in EdTech, accessibility, or a mission-driven technology organisation
