About the Role
At Emplifi, our Engineering Managers are more than just coordinators - they are the architects of our team culture and delivery standards. We are looking for an empathetic leader to guide a high-impact team in solving complex engineering challenges for over 20,000 global brands.
You will lead with an "AI-first" mindset, empowering your engineers to leverage modern tools to ship faster and smarter. What You’ll Do Here
Leadership & Delivery
- Own team capacity planning, execution, and delivery predictability
- Ensure the team delivers high-quality solutions that align with our product and engineering vision
- Ensure close collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders
- Create a supportive, psychologically safe team environment
Team Development & Coaching
- Conduct regular 1:1s and performance conversations
- Set growth goals and mentor engineers through career development
- Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making, guiding the team through challenges
- Support hiring processes and ensure smooth onboarding of new team members
AI-first approach
- Identify opportunities to automate routine engineering tasks and optimize workflows using AI
- Champion "AI-native" thinking, encouraging your team to experiment with and adopt tools that enhance productivity
- Stay ahead of the curve on how AI impacts both software delivery and customer engagement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with product managers, designers, and platform teams to ensure alignment
- Participate in the engineering leadership team to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives
- Drive and contribute to cross-team initiatives and shared goals
Culture & Conflict Resolution
- Lead by example to foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture
- Address team conflicts with empathy and resolve issues constructively
- Promote transparency in communication, planning, and progress tracking

What You’ll Bring to Us
- Proven experience managing engineering teams in an agile environment
- Strong understanding of SDLC, engineering practices, and experience with AI-assisted development (LLMs, GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo, Cursor/Claude Code, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in coaching and mentoring individuals and teams
- Ability to manage team delivery, capacity, and prioritization in alignment with business needs
- Passion for building inclusive, collaborative, and empowered teams
