We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Applications Scientist who will play a pivotal role supporting our growing customer base in the Bay Area. The hired candidate will need to be physically located in the territory and be willing to travel frequently to customer sites. This role will report to the Director, Field Applications, and will be a remote role with a requirement that our hire is based in the Bay Area.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Frequently traveling to the customer site is required
• Troubleshooting issues related to user's technical skills, biochemistry/assay design, experimental design, software, and instruments
• Supporting commercial team and customers in their technical applications and providing product training
• Displaying professionalism, understanding, tact, fairness, and technical knowledge in all customer interactions
• Providing strategic and competitive feedback to marketing and product development teams, and independently leads or manages beta tests at customer sites
• Working independently on significant and unique issues requiring collaboration with key decision-makers and senior managers across the organization which may impact future products, concepts, and technologies
• Assisting sales and marketing on pre and post strategic sales activities requiring both technical depth and market knowledge
• Delivering customer training and workshops, both in-person and remote
• Utilizing service CRM software to accurately identify and document customer opportunities
• Collaborating with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree with 4+ years, Masters degree with 2+ years or PhD with experience in NGS library construction (a combination of experience and education may be considered)
• Experience with NGS sequencing instrument and sequencing run set up along with NGS sample and library prep workflows is preferred
• Experience with cell biology, microscopy, and multiomics is required
• Must be highly motivated and have strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication and strong relationship building skills
• Highly collaborative and adaptable; able to work well within multidisciplinary teams
• Skilled in nucleic acids and protein analytical methods
• Generate high quality and reproducible wet-lab data from established protocols
• High degree of comfort navigating technical project discussions
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player
• Demonstrated account management skills

• Must be flexible in working hours as this position may require customer support during non-regular business hours

Base Compensation Pay Range:

• $118,000 - $144,000

We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Specialist for the APJ distributor countries who will play a pivotal role in establishing and executing strategies for obtaining new customers and maintaining/growing existing APJ distributor markets to meet and exceed revenue goals. The Technical Sales Specialist will have strong technical knowledge in the spatial field and will demonstrate technical credibility to effectively consult with customers and distributors to influence key decisions on technology and product choices. Education and Experience:

• PhD degree is required, preferably in Biology / Genetics or Ph.D. in Biology / Genetics preferred
• 3+ years of experience of commercial (sales/marketing/business development) experience or equivalent experience within a laboratory setting plus customer facing experience
• Strong Genetics and Molecular Biology foundation. Preferred knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing, Genotyping method, Spatial and Cytometry
• Deep knowledge and relationships with decision makers/influencers and leading researchers in Biotech and Pharma
• Experience with strategic sales skills with proven ability to develop and grow key accounts is preferred
• Conducts presentations effectively, professionally and comfortably to customers/peers/management
• Strong desire to “win” and build customer relationships
• Fluent in English, additional Asian languages are great to have

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer who will play a pivotal role supporting our growing customer base in the Canada and part of the Great Lakes region. We are looking for someone with experience troubleshooting instrument issues involving software, hardware and chemistry. Ability to repair and maintenance instruments in the field.  This role will report to the Senior Manager, Field Service Engineering and will be a remote role based in Canada.

• Providing onsite installation, qualification, upgrades, repairs and preventative maintenance service on next generation sequencers
• Identifying root causes and resolving product issues in the field with support when needed.

• Implementing and following policies that pertain to the handling of spare parts: ordering, usage, returns, physical count, car stock management, etc.
• Utilizing service CRM software to accurately document work in a timely manner

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Masters with 1+ years of relevant experience in Field Service, engineering, physics, biology, chemistry or related field (or equivalent combination of education and industry experience)
• Experience with NGS sequencing instrument and sequencing run set up preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot issues with complex laboratory equipment involving chemistry, software and hardware
• Strong time management, problem solving, organizational and relationship building skills.
• Experience servicing scientific instrumentation involving optics, fluid handling and thermal systems.
• Experience with multiple full life cycle product launches preferred
• Proficient with data collection and analysis tools (eg: in MATLAB, Python, C++ or Java) preferred
• Experience with fluorescence microscopy helpful
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including technical writing abilities.
• Must be flexible in working hours as this position may require customer support during non-regular business hours
• Demonstrated account management skills preferred
