The Opportunity
The primary objective of this position is to generate revenue and profits for the company under the direction of the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. The company’s reputation is often contingent upon how the salesperson represents him/herself and the company, therefore it is imperative that all interaction supports the mission and values of EEI. The Sales Team works together on strategy, design, proposal generation, and job costing. The successful candidate will demonstrate abilities and experience with collaborative team-based customer service and team-based processing of technical information.

Position Overview
Under minimal direction, this Equipment Sales role is responsible for the sale of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and systems to owners, engineers, architects, contractors and consultants. In partnership with Engineered Equipment, you will build and manage long term customer relationships with your customers, accounts and the manufacturers.
Essential Job Functions
o Demonstrates technical expertise to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
o Determines project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer’s HVAC system design and installation requirements.
o Effectively writes, presents and communicates bids. Negotiates value and closes the sale.
o Positively and credibly influences system design and solutions with customers. Frequently creates competitive, high quality and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analysis.
o Manages multiple, ongoing, projects particularly focusing on selling HVAC equipment, service and systems.
o Builds partnering relationships with customers and manufacturers contractors. Understands the customer's business and speaks their language.
o Responsible for supporting and assisting in the accounts receivable collection process.
o Addresses customer's operational and environmental objectives, needs and requirements and sell solutions.
o Solicits support from and communicates effectively with the entire sales team and inside sales supports staff.
o Assists in the development of the sales team.
o Keeps management informed of progress and account status. Knows when to call for assistance from upper management to keep the sales process moving.
Requirements
o Bachelors Degree in Engineering
o Willingness to make sales calls and interact with customers outside of the office
o Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills.
o Demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels.
o Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Environmental Requirements: Will be required to work in an office environment and possibly, occasionally in the field.

The Opportunity
This is an entry-level role learning all aspects of EEI’s products and systems to estimate and manage projects. As the Project Engineer, this individual will be responsible for coordinating submittals, equipment selection, pricing and ship dates for each project. Must be detail and customer service oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Position requires a high level of oral and written correspondence with the Sales Team, Customers and Manufacturers to ensure timely completion of assigned projects while maintaining customer satisfaction. Must be able to work well with others in a fast-paced & high-volume environment.
Primary focus:
• Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration
• Optimize the project through the stages of product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering and redesigns
• Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
• Communicate with owners, architects, MEP Consultants and General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors
• Organize project related data for order entry
• Respond to and track IOM & Submittal requests
• Read, understand and interpret building plans & specifications
• Develop and grow relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers and manufacturers
• Determine project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet all of the customer’s system design, installation and maintenance expectations
• Investigate concerns, implement corrective action and communicate with customers and co-workers as necessary to maximize customer satisfaction
Education and work experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting, engineering or construction industry a plus
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity and manage high volume projects
• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Position Overview:
Performs electrical and mechanical inspection, start-up and maintenance on the equipment. Must be customer service oriented and work well with others. Position requires a high level of correspondence Project Managers, Coordinators and Customers. Candidates must be able to work well with others in a fast-paced & high volume environment.
Essential Job Functions:
o Performs electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance on equipment to ensure peak performance.
o Perform specific preventative maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing and cleaning of equipment.
o Uses experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements.
o Ability to interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location and operation of the system(s).
o Represents the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors and owners.
o Advises owner/representative of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
o Suggest additional services that are beneficial to customer.
o Works in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
o Submits required paperwork to Service Coordinator in a timely manner.
o Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
o Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required.
Requirements:
o Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
o Moderate PC skills in Microsoft Office and 5 years experience working as a Service Technician in commercial HVAC environment.
o Clear Driving Record with current valid license required.
