The Lead Data Scientist will report to the Data Science Manager.
As the Lead Data Scientist, you will:
- Build and own end-to-end pricing systems—from experimentation to production—that directly shape revenue and unit economics.
- Lead high-impact pricing experiments and apply advanced methods to uncover what truly drives conversion, retention, and profitability.Act as a go-to expert in pricing and demand modeling, influencing strategy across Product, Risk, Finance, and Marketing.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives from idea to launch, partnering closely with engineering to deliver scalable, real-world solutions.

About You:
- You bring 6+ years of experience in data science, pricing, or quantitative modeling (or an advanced degree with relevant experience), with strong fluency in Python/R and SQL.
- You’ve built and shipped pricing or demand models that drive real business impact, and you’re comfortable owning problems end-to-end.
- You have deep expertise in pricing optimization, elasticity, and econometrics, and know how to apply causal inference and experimentation in real-world settings.
- You thrive in cross-functional environments, influencing partners and translating complex work into clear, actionable insights.
- You enjoy mentoring others and raising the bar for how teams approach modeling, experimentation, and decision-making.

- Experience in fintech, lending, or financial services with ownership of pricing models.
- Familiarity with financial metrics, risk-adjusted returns, and capital markets.

Compensation:
A little about our pay philosophy: We take pride in compensating our employees fairly and equitably. We are showcasing a range of your potential base salary based on the roles location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will also be determined based on job-related qualifications, internal compensation, candidate location and budget. This range may be modified in the future.
Salary Range: $180,000 - $225,000 USD. Employees are also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and equity.

The Analytics Engineer will report to the Senior Manager, Data Platforms & Analytics Engineering.
As the Analytics Engineer II, you will:
- Build and improve data models that enable faster, more reliable decision-making across Product, Risk, and Analytics
- Reduce bottlenecks by delivering clean, scalable datasets analysts can trust and use independently
- Support both roadmap initiatives and ad hoc needs to keep business teams moving without delays
- Improve data quality and structure so new products and features can be analyzed and launched with confidence
About You:
- 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar
- Strong SQL and experience building data models that support business use cases
- Experience with dbt and modern data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and translating messy data into usable insights
- Curious, proactive, and motivated to solve problems—not just complete tasks

The Senior Fraud Strategy Analyst will report to Senior Manager, Fraud Strategy.
You will help build and scale fraud strategy for a growing lending business—owning execution today while shaping the long-term approach as we scale.
What You’ll Do
- Reduce fraud loss while supporting growth by building and optimizing fraud rules and strategies
- Own fraud monitoring and analysis, identifying risks across channels, segments, and customer cohorts
- Turn data into action by investigating trends, surfacing insights, and driving decisions
- Scale fraud operations by creating repeatable frameworks and improving coverage as volume grows
- Design and evaluate experiments to balance fraud risk, approval rates, and customer experience
- Partner cross-functionally to implement fraud controls across product, risk, and engineering
- Support new products and channels by ensuring fraud risk is managed from day one
About You
- 4+ years in fraud, risk, or analytics in fintech, lending, or financial services

The Engineering Manager, Servicing & Collections, will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Servicing & Collections to lead a team responsible for the systems that power borrower repayment, payments, delinquency management, and collections at Earnest.
This is a high-impact role at the core of Earnest’s business. You will partner closely with Product, Risk, Operations, and Compliance to build scalable, reliable, and compliant systems that improve repayment performance, reduce delinquency, and deliver a high-quality, self-service customer experience.
You will play a critical role in transforming servicing into a strategic advantage for Earnest by improving operational efficiency, enabling smarter collections strategies, and creating systems that build long-term customer trust.
As the Engineering Manager, you will:
- Lead a team building the systems that power repayment, payments, and collections--directly impacting borrower experience and business performance.
- Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact initiatives, improving repayment rates, reducing delinquency, and driving operational efficiency.
- Evolve the servicing platform alongside senior engineers, simplifying architecture and scaling toward modular, reliable, and observable systems.

- Ensure reliability of mission-critical systems, with a focus on uptime, data integrity, and incident readiness.

About You:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading teams.

- Proven track record of scaling systems and teams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

The Sr Model Risk Manager will report to the Head of Credit Risk.
As the Sr Model Risk Manager, you will:
- Own and evolve Earnest’s Model Risk Management framework, ensuring our credit, loss forecasting, fraud, marketing, and finance models are rigorous, transparent, and built to scale responsibly.
- Lead independent end-to-end model validations — from conceptual soundness and data quality to performance monitoring and implementation review — delivering thoughtful, constructive challenge to modeling teams.
- Partner closely with Data Science and Risk leaders early in the model design process to strengthen assumptions, improve methodology, and elevate modeling standards across the company.

The Senior Credit Strategy Analyst will report to Senior Credit Risk Manager, Personal Loans.
As the Senior Credit Strategy Analyst, you will:
- Own end-to-end implementation of credit and fraud policies for all product lines within Earnest decisioning platform, including testing, deployment, and validation to ensure accuracy and alignment with policy intent
- Develop and optimize credit underwriting and fraud prevention strategies for personal loans, balancing growth, risk, and customer experience objectives
- Analyze portfolio performance, approval funnels, and fraud trends to identify opportunities for strategy enhancements and loss mitigation
- Design, test, and implement decision rules, segmentation strategies, and policy changes using data-driven experimentation frameworks
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, Compliance, and Operations to ensure strategies are effectively deployed and monitored
- Build dashboards, reporting, and monitoring frameworks to track credit and fraud KPIs, including approval rates, losses, and fraud rates
- Support model and strategy governance through documentation, controls, and performance reviews
About You:
- 3+ years of experience in risk management within consumer finance, banking, or lending
- 1+ years of experience implementing credit strategies within a loan decisioning platform (e.g., Alloy or similar systems)
- Experience working with credit bureau data (e.g., Experian, TransUnion, Equifax) and alternative data sources
- Strong knowledge of regulations, standards, and guidelines governing consumer lending
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and strategy development
