About the Team

The G&A Recruiting team partners with DoorDash’s corporate functions to build the talent that enables the company to operate, scale, and innovate. Within this, a growing area of focus is technical hiring across G&A, spanning Security Engineering, People Technology, and Global Support Systems.

This role sits at the intersection of technical and non-technical recruiting, supporting some of the most critical but less traditional engineering functions at DoorDash. You’ll also play a key role in shaping how we approach this hiring globally, partnering across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead technical hiring across G&A functions, with a focus on Security Engineering, People Technology, and platform/GSS roles. While your core execution will be focused on DoorDash, you’ll also help drive alignment and consistency in how we approach this hiring across our international brands.

This is a unique opportunity to operate in a high-impact, less saturated space, where strong talent strategy, stakeholder partnership, and creativity in sourcing are critical to success.

You’ll partner closely with leaders across Legal Security, and People Technology to translate business needs into effective hiring strategies, while also helping to build more scalable and consistent approaches to technical hiring across G&A globally.

In your first 90 days, you will begin managing a portfolio of active searches, build trust with key executives, and establish rigorous operating mechanisms for search execution. Success in this role is defined by exceptional search quality, trusted partnerships, and consistent delivery against our most critical hiring needs.

• Lead hiring for specialized technical roles within G&A, including Security Engineering, People Technology, and platform/GSS functions.

About the Team

DoorDash’s ability to build the best products in the industry, enabling local commerce at global scale, depends on its ability to recruit, engage, grow, and retain the best talent in the industry. The People Applications team at DoorDash is responsible for building and scaling first-party (1P) products that support the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment through to offboarding. The team develops and operates People Applications used across all DoorDash brands, including Wolt and Deliveroo.

About the Role

The DoorDash People Applications team is seeking an Engineering Manager with experience building and scaling applications across talent acquisition, compensation, and employee experience domains.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of our People platform as we accelerate the adoption of AI and evolve our 1P products to drive greater efficiency, innovation, and employee experience.

This is a highly collaborative role where you will help shape both the technical direction and product strategy, ensuring our solutions align with DoorDash’s people team’s goals while delivering reliable, high-impact experiences for employees across all brands.

This will be a hybrid role and you will report to the Senior Manager, Enterprise App Engineering.

• Lead and Inspire: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of full stack engineers across multiple DoorDash locations including in US and Hungary

• Drive Technical Vision: Partner with the team to define architectural roadmap for the team.

• Deliver Impactful Features: Oversee development of core People Application product experiences, including data pipelines, automation and integration with AI tools/LLMs.

• Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designer, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful, user-first solutions.

• Operational Excellence: Establish best practices in development processes, testing, release management, and monitoring.

• Embrace AI: Passion for leveraging AI and automation to improve developer velocity and business outcomes

We're excited about you because you have… 

• BS, or MS in Computer Science or related field

• 2+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams of 5+ engineers

• 7+ years of industry experience in software development, ideally in HR-related applications

• Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment

• Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization including leveraging AI to improve velocity 

• Experience with Generative AI development and fine-tuning such as setting up prompt flows, agents, guardrails, and knowledge base optimization.

• Hands-on leadership, strong business acumen and strong product intuition

• Deep technical background with NodeJs/TypeScript, React, Python, containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes 

• Willingness to learn - willing to get into the details and open to feedback

• Adaptability, resiliency, and ability to thrive in ambiguity - things can change quickly, and you'll need to help the team evolve

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate with remote team members across time zones

About the Role

DoorDash is hiring a proven Federal Affairs Associate to help shape our public policy strategy and execution, independently assist with integrated issue management campaigns, and build lasting and positive relationships with federal public policy stakeholders. Based in Washington DC, you’ll be a key team member supporting the work of the Federal Affairs team and work closely with Public Affairs, Communications, Legal, and other business functions. The Global Policy Development & Research Team forms a core part of our Public Policy & Communications Organization — leading the economic and legislative analysis that drives our policy strategy and storytelling around the world. This high-impact team uncovers and explains the impact of proposed legislative and regulatory changes, shapes our global policy positions, and communicates DoorDash’s role in driving impact in local economies. 

About the Role

DoorDash is looking for an experienced Global Head of Policy Research, serving as our Head Economist, to lead our research function. In this role, you will analyze the role we play in local economies and the impact we drive for Dashers, merchants, and consumers — and shape how we share our insights externally. In this expansive role, you’ll lead a team that explores how the DoorDash platform drives economic activity around the world and shapes the broader policy conversation about the future of work and local commerce.

• Lead our Global Policy Research function — setting this vision, defining the direction of our research, and driving execution of a high-impact research agenda. 
• Analyze our economic impact and how policy proposals affect our platform and the Dashers, merchants, and consumers who use it every day. 
• Produce economic impact reports and other public-facing analyses that clearly and credibly demonstrate our impact to policymakers, the media, and other audiences. 
• In partnership with Public Policy and Communications teammates, translate complex research into compelling narratives for external audiences, including in meetings with policymakers and interviews with the media. 
• Engage with academics, think tanks, and other thought leaders to create an academic foundation for proposed policies. 
• Coordinate closely with other members of the Public Policy & Communications Team, as well as the Analytics, Finance, Communications, and Strategy & Ops Teams. 
• Manage a team with global remit.

• You have a PhD in Economics or a similar domain. 
• You have 10+ years of experience in economic research, data analytics, economic or management consulting, or a related quantitative role, with a strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and communicating complex findings to non-technical audiences.
• You have expertise in SQL and statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions), familiarity with one or more analytics & visualization tools, and demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to scale and enhance research impact. 
• You have experience managing direct reports, juggling both technical and managerial tasks, including 1+1's, technical mentorship, and recruitment participation.
• You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and balancing rigor with speed.
• Bonus points for experience working in-house at a technology company, in government, and/or internationally.
