About the Team
The Identity and Access Management team enables secure, seamless access across DoorDash’s global engineering and business operations. Our mission is to make access simple, automated, and user-centric — reducing friction through self-service models while maintaining strong governance and compliance. We focus on streamlining joiner, mover, and leaver processes, modernizing access requests, and building scalable controls that prioritize both security and the end-user experience across a complex application landscape.
About the Role
This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for advancing a modern, automated, and user-centric Identity and Access Management program. They will improve how employees access the tools they need — making access faster, simpler, and more intuitive — while strengthening governance and audit readiness behind the scenes. In the first 90 days, they will assess current access processes, identify friction points, and begin delivering measurable improvements in automation, data quality, and lifecycle efficiency. Success in this role means enabling the business through scalable self-service access models that maintain strong compliance without slowing teams down.
You will report into the Global Head of Identity and Access Management in our Security organization.

- Partner with Engineering, Security, and Governance teams to embed scalable access controls directly into systems and workflows.

- Strengthen joiner, mover, and leaver processes to ensure timely, accurate access aligned to business roles.
- Evolve access governance toward role-based and attribute-based models that scale with company growth.
We’re excited about you because…
- You have 8+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, Security Governance, or a related field, including ownership of user access reviews and lifecycle controls in a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulated environment.
- You have demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and hands-on experience designing or improving access governance processes, including role-based or attribute-based access control models and segregation of duties considerations.
- You are comfortable working with identity platforms such as Okta and access governance tools such as ConductorOne or similar technologies.
- You have a strong analytical background and experience automating manual processes, using data to evaluate control effectiveness, improve user experience, and identify risk.
- You have experience partnering with Engineering and IT teams and can translate security and compliance requirements into practical, scalable solutions with minimal operational friction.

Compensation
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

About the Role
The Senior Manager of Cyber Defense will lead the Cyber Defense team in the US.
This critical role is responsible for ensuring the organization's security posture by proactively identifying, investigating, and mitigating cybersecurity threats and incidents, as well as building AI-based automation.
The Senior Manager will report to the Senior Director of Cyber Defense, who leads Cyber Defense globally, and execute on strategic plans and projects to enhance the company's security posture across all the brands. The role will be located in the US Eastern time zone to facilitate active collaboration with cyber defense leaders in the UK and EU (Deliveroo and Wolt).

- Develop and implement a roadmap for continuous improvement of the team's capabilities, to include building net new functional areas. Automation and AI feature prominently.
- Lead the response to information security incidents, including investigation of, countermeasures to, and recovery from cyber attacks, unauthorized access, and policy breaches.
- Especially with incidents, act as the executive support for Americas timezone business and Legal, which includes participating in on-call for escalations or sometimes an incident commander role in high profile cases.
- Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators and service level agreements for internal teams and external vendors.
- Develop, maintain, and execute on key incident response plans and playbooks for global response.
- Collect and analyze information security threat intelligence to proactively identify and assess threats that could impact DoorDash.
- Hire, mentor, and train security engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, resilience and sustainable work, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within the Cyber Defense team.

- 10+ years of experience in information security and people management. Must have experience leading Incident Response, Incident Management, Investigations and Threat Hunt functions.
- Experience working with global partners in a follow-the-sun model.
- Experience providing technical leadership and guidance, and thinking strategically and analytically to solve problems,
- Excellent understanding of information security operations related frameworks and standards (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK and NIST).
- Understanding and actively following the technology surrounding large language models.

The Senior Security Engineer, Red Team will be responsible for conducting threat intelligence-informed adversary emulations to simulate real-world cyber attacks and proactively identify security improvement opportunities in the DoorDash environment. - 5+ years of experience in Red Teaming and Purple Teaming
- You are passionate about offensive security and care about improving your craft every day
- You think like an adversary. You have deep, experiential knowledge of APT and insider threat TTPs, not just theoretical familiarity
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to secure diverse environments, providing feedback loops that articulate business risks and generate actionable intelligence
- You've run full-scope operations across multi-platform and cloud environments, and you know how to build the malware and tooling to support them
- Strong knowledge of one of Python, Golang, Rust, Kotlin, Java, or Powershell
- Experience using and developing tooling, methodologies and scalable infrastructure to support red team engagements capabilities (e.g. command and control frameworks, phishing environment, exploits)
- Experience with Command and Control (C2) frameworks

About the Role
Our Security Engineering team is looking for a Staff Security Engineer to lead threat modeling, hardening and operation of security services within DoorDash’s Product and Cloud Security domains. You will be a part of our inclusive, collaborative global team responsible for building “paved paths” to ensure a safe, reliable and resilient delivery network. This is a US or Canada remote position reporting directly to the Manager of our Security Engineering team.

- Threat model, design, harden, and operationalize Product and Cloud Security services and controls at DoorDash scale.
- Define, document and implement security standards, guidelines and procedures to design and implement automated security controls and remediation tools with rigor and developer ergonomics.
- Partner cross-functionally with Core Infrastructure, Product Engineering, Legal, Security teams and Vendor Partners to build “paved paths” that provide actionable feedback to embed secure design practices into the product and infrastructure development process.
- Lead the technical direction and roadmap execution for your assigned area of ownership.
- Build and maintain high Operational Excellence (OE) to ensure we operate services with excellence, rigor and durable standards to ensure minimal downtime.
- Participate in on-call rotation and promptly respond to on-call events with urgency and rigor.
- Manage the lifecycle of product and cloud security vulnerabilities, from identification, triage, and drive remediation, reporting and metrics.
- Influence and enable the secure and responsible adoption of LLMs and AI tools.
- Mentor and coach earlier career engineers, setting high standards for Operational Excellence and Security Engineering.

- 8+ years of experience as a security engineer in a product security or infrastructure security discipline.
- Able to demonstrate a track record of driving foundational improvements to a company’s infrastructure security posture.
- Breadth of technical experience across various infrastructure and security areas running in large production environments.
- Deep understanding of each OWASP top 10 vulnerability, distributed systems security and design.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines to automate security control enforcement and testing.
- You proficient in analyzing code, architecture and designs from a security perspective
- Well versed with scripting languages (e.g. Python) and other programming languages (e.g. Java). Golang experience is a plus.
- Strong experience with infrastructure as a code tooling like Terraform.
- Expertise with cloud infrastructure and management in GCP and AWS.
- Experience solving complex, systemic issues that require creative thinking and solutions.
- Exceptional analytical and investigative abilities with hands-on experience leading root cause analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - you can understand and review design documents with respect to cloud infrastructure with engineering personnel.

We need an offensive security leader who stays close to the work. As the Engineering Manager of the Red Team, you'll inherit an existing team, level it up, expand headcount, and build the partnerships needed to turn red team findings into real engineering change. This is a player-coach role — you'll set strategic direction while staying hands-on with engagement scoping, tradecraft, and tooling decisions.

- 7+ years of offensive security experience (red teaming, adversary simulation, penetration testing) with at least 3 years managing offensive security practitioners.
- Deep, hands-on red team expertise — you speak fluently about TTPs, attack chains, tradecraft, and tooling because you've done the work, not just managed it. Demonstrated player-coach balance between technical depth and management responsibilities.
- Track record of shaping security strategy beyond your own team — influencing engineering, product, or infrastructure organizations to prioritize and act on findings, not just document them.
- Experience with cloud-native offensive operations (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, containerized microservices, CI/CD pipelines) and building or directing custom offensive tooling as engineered software, not just scripts.
- People-first leadership — you coach, develop careers, provide honest feedback, and build team culture where offensive security practitioners grow.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
