Purpose
Divergent is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Technical Program Manager with experience in leading program and project activities related to design, development, qualification and production support of components to assist with a clean sheet development project.
The Role
- Successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects by managing resources, risks, and technical baselines
- Collaborate across technical teams and ensure project milestones are met with precision and quality
- Facilitate technical review meetings, document, and communicate decision to stakeholders
- Support Configuration Management, Risk/Issue/Opportunity, and Scheduling processes
- Create, manage, track and report project spending
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
- BS degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering field
- Minimum of 2 years of prior engineering, technical program management, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Atlassian tools emphasis on Confluence and Jira
- Experience in both traditional and agile project methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Configuration Management background
- Microsoft Project or Smartsheets experience
- Certified Project Management Professional
- Familiarity with gas turbine design
- Familiar with additive manufacturing techniques, specifically metal AM for component development and production

Purpose
As an Additive Manufacturing (AM) Manufacturing Engineer, you will contribute to manufacturing engineering efforts across the development, build, and production lifecycle of advanced laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) and manufacturing systems. You will partner with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturability, improve build reliability, and ensure our capital equipment systems meet cost, quality, throughput, and production targets. You will serve as the primary engineering support for multiple subsystems and support critical processes, tools, and workflows that scale us from prototype through production.
The Role
- Contribute to manufacturing engineering support across multiple LPBF subsystems (e.g., optics, recoater, gas flow, fluid systems) and/or advanced manufacturing modules.
- Develop and continuously improve comprehensive work instructions and standard operating procedures for internal and external manufacturing.
- Collaborate with design and R&D teams to enhance manufacturability at the component, assembly, and system level.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) analyses to reduce cost and improve cycle time.
- Support design changes through PLM, configurations, and change implementation.
- Refine manufacturing processes, including assembly, integration, and test operations.
- Design, evaluate, and optimize tooling, fixtures, and assembly jigs.
- Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities for manufacturing-related issues.
- Improve machine uptime by supporting preventive maintenance strategies.
- Partner with supply chain to bring up production lines, support sourcing activities, and resolve supplier technical issues.
- Contribute to associated and peripheral factory modules that complement the LPBF printer.
- Support the implementation and adoption of enterprise tools like PLM, ERP, and MES systems.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing documentation, process control, and product transitions.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls.
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 2+ years (Engineer II) or 5+ years (Sr. Engineer) of experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or manufacturing engineering, preferably in additive manufacturing, capital equipment, or low-volume/high-mix production environments.
- Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation.
- Demonstrated expertise in work instruction development, process documentation, and tooling design.
- Familiar with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and basic fabrication/assembly practices.
- Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter), ERP, and MES tools.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, production, and supply chain.
- Adaptable and effective in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Hands-on skills in basic fabrication or assembly
- Ability to effectively operate and adapt in a fast-paced, open environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM.
- Exposure to LPBF additive manufacturing systems.
- Understanding of configuration management for complex assemblies.
- Background in supplier bring-up and technical issue resolution.
- Familiarity with factory layout design and industrial engineering principles.
- Experience working with MRP and MES systems.
Work Environment
- This role is an on-site role at our Torrance office, manufacturing floor, and laboratory spaces.
Compensation
At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels Engineer II - Senior Engineer as evaluated through our interview process.
- Engineer II / E04: $111,300 - $153,040
- Senior / E05: $128,520 - $176,720

Purpose
Oversee the Additive Manufacturing Development Technician team and its activities for laser powder bed fusion machine development, assembly, testing, and operation. The AM Development Operations Supervisor ensures assembly and test milestones and goals are met in collaboration with other AM Development teams, collects & provides input regarding introduction of complex electro-mechanical capital equipment.
The Role
- Supervise shop floor activities, including daily labor schedules, workflow, training, material and supply management and tracking skills across the technician team matrix.
- Lead and manage a team of technicians, handling performance management tasks.
- Leads and works with the team of technicians to assemble and test components up to the full system with or with limited or basic documentation or instructions.
- The Supervisor will own the shop floor including tool management and 5S standardization.
- Resolves issues with the machine in order to maintain progress during build, test, calibration, and printing operations.
- Provides feedback regarding the machine design, assembly and operational processes, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with the machine development team to improve machine reliability and performance.
- Support RCCA activities to identify root causes of non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of these issues.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
- 7+ years of hands-on build, NPI, or manufacturing experience on the shop floor
- 5+ years of experience leading a team of technicians
- High school diploma
- Ability to use MS software, familiarity using Enterprise Resources Planning tools to manage work orders and business Teamcenter, Jira and Confluence applications.
- Hands-on skills in fabrication, assembly, testing, and rework
- Hand and power tools experience
- Knows best tool, assembly, and rework procedures
- Knows shop floor best practices including 5S
- Troubleshooting experience
- Crane & rigging operations experience
- Skills matrix management
- Ability to meet short-term goals with quality and on schedule
