The Strategic Finance team oversees the company's financial well-being while supporting operational and business planning in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We work hard to ensure growth is accurately projected and managed, and that our financial results are appropriately accounted for. We provide financial analysis to determine critical strategic and operational decisions within a rapidly growing organization. We are looking for a senior Deal Desk analyst to join our team to support our growing commercial selling motion through financial analysis and guidance on standard and non-standard commercial agreements.
This position requires a nimble and curious professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, rapidly growing, and fluid organization. You must be highly analytical, organized, and skilled at communication and problem-solving. This role will work to enforce and help define the process behind our discount and credit policies, appropriately structuring deals in alignment with DigitalOcean’s financial goals.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build trusted cross-functional relationships with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal and Revenue Accounting and Strategic Finance; proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations to structure commercially sound deals by evaluating tradeoffs across price, term, volume, and risk, aligned with financial guidelines.
- Lead financial modeling and evaluation of deal structures, ensuring alignment with margin targets, ARR goals, and long-term profitability.
- Enforce approval frameworks and policies; manage escalations and exceptions for strategic deals.
- Design and own discount reporting and cadence analytics to enable organization wide visibility into trends in the discounting program.
- Work alongside R&D Finance and D&A teams to refine customer and product-level margin profiles.
What We’ll Expect From You:
- High standards of accuracy and precision; extremely detail-oriented, highly organized and resourceful.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly grasp and apply analytical concepts.
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, FP&A/ sales finance, deal management, sales operations, or business operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work within fixed timeframes and meet deadlines consistently.
- Proactive communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills.
- Experience with Salesforce, Hubspot or other CRM tools desired.
- Experience with data analysis programs like Looker and Tableau is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Compensation Range:
- $93,600.00 - $117,000.00

This is a high-impact role at the center of DigitalOcean’s growth strategy. Reporting to the SVP of Corporate Development & Investor Relations, you will lead M&A execution end-to-end, develop business cases for acquisitions and new strategic initiatives, and contribute to investor-facing materials where deal or strategic context is needed. You will work directly with executive leadership and cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, Finance, and GTM.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop business cases and financial analyses for potential acquisitions, strategic investments, and new organic initiatives, including scenario modeling for capital allocation decisions
- Lead end-to-end M&A execution from initial sourcing through closing in order to expand DigitalOcean’s product capabilities and market reach.
- Construct complex financial models and valuation analyses to provide data-driven recommendations on potential targets, divestitures, and strategic investments; including modeling funding scenarios and capital structure impact.
- Orchestrate cross-functional due diligence with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to identify potential integration risks and validate synergy opportunities.
- Develop strategically-focused project plans that align departmental goals with long-term business objectives and multi-quarter value add.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify and prioritize market opportunities that capitalize on emerging customer needs.
- Support investor relations and board materials where M&A, competitive, or strategic context adds value.
- Optimize internal M&A processes and workflows to increase the efficiency and scalability of the Corporate Development function.
- Guide and mentor junior team members formally and informally to build a high-performing, inclusive culture within the department.
What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:
- Technical Breadth: A deep understanding of end-to-end M&A execution, expert-level financial modeling and valuation, and significant experience in market landscaping/strategic analysis within the technology or cloud sector.
- The "Human" Element: Advanced Executive Communication skills; the ability to translate complex deal structures into compelling business narratives for senior leadership and board members.
- Growth Mindset: A desire to learn, an appetite for feedback, and a "leave it better than you found it" attitude.
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of investment banking and/or corporate development experience.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills with the ability to quickly structure and solve complex problems.
- Experience modeling capital allocation scenarios, including debt financing, lease structures, and build-vs-buy frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex deal structures into clear narratives for senior leadership and board audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in infrastructure software, cloud/datacenter, AI, or capital-intensive technology businesses.
- Familiarity with public company dynamics, including investor communications and earnings processes.
Compensation Range:
- $138,400.00 - $173,000

We are looking for a strategic, growth-oriented leader to serve as DigitalOcean’s primary point person for the global investment community. Reporting to the SVP of Corporate Development and Investor Relations, the Director of Investor Relations will act as the architect of our financial narrative, bridging the gap between our internal product evolution and the external investment landscape.
What You’ll Do:
- Strategic Narrative: Architecting a comprehensive investor relations roadmap that identifies key potential shareholders and articulates a message aligned with DigitalOcean’s mission to simplify the cloud and AI-Native workloads.
- Relationship Stewardship: Building and nurturing deep-rooted trust within the investor community, including both sell side analysts and buy side investors, proactively educating stakeholders on our operations and long-term scaling objectives.
- Financial Storytelling: Crafting high-impact presentations, press releases, and scripts for earnings calls that translate complex financial data into a compelling vision for growth.
- KPI Management: Partnering with FP&A and operating units to track and report key metrics, ensuring our guidance models and performance tracking remain robust and transparent.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborating with Product, Marketing, finance and Legal teams to ensure a unified external voice that accurately represents our product roadmap.
- Market Intelligence: Maintaining rigorous competitive analysis and peer benchmarking to help DigitalOcean anticipate market trends and optimize our long-term investor mix.
What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:
- Required:
- Financial & Analytical Mastery: A strong background in financial analysis or accounting with a demonstrated ability to build guidance models and track complex performance metrics.
- Strategic Communication: A proven track record of building relationships in the investor community and the ability to counsel senior executives on external presentations and releases.
- Operational Excellence: A detail-oriented and highly organized approach, with the ability to consistently meet deadlines within the fixed timeframes of the financial reporting cycle.
- Investor Relations Experience: Prior investor relations experience at a publicly traded software or cloud infrastructure company is required.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own the cash forecast during each monthly forecast cycle, including the annual planning cycle
- Maintain and evolve the WASO (Weighted Average Shares Outstanding) and EPS (Earnings per Share) model, including equity roll-forward schedules and dilution forecasting
- Architect and update the Balance Sheet forecast, proactively monitoring leverage ratios and capital structure health
- Analyze interest expense trends and the impact of debt instruments on the overall P&L and cash position.
- Manage the Long-Range Planning (LRP) model, translating multi-year strategic initiatives into a cohesive financial outlook for various scenario analyses
- Act as the primary FP&A lead for Treasury support, providing data-driven insights for debt servicing, interest expense forecasting, and overall cash management.
- Support development of integrated modeling for CapEx and equipment lease forecasts in close collaboration with the COGS and Operations teams
- Drive accountability for cash performance metrics, specifically owning the tracking and reporting of Adjusted FCF, Unlevered FCF, and Cash Generated metrics.
- Drive end-of-quarter Cash Flow analysis with Accounts Payable and Accounting to ensure accuracy, control over final pay runs, and weekly liquidity management.
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual support for internal reporting and external earnings requirements related to equity, debt, and cash flow movements.

What We’ll Expect From You:

- 2-3 years of investment banking experience (Tier 1 banks preferred)
- Foundational knowledge of GAAP, specifically as it relates to Cash Flow Statement classification

We are seeking a Global Lease Sr. Analyst that is strategic and detail oriented to oversee the leasing lifecycle of infrastructure equipment across our global cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and leasing data center equipment, expertise in negotiating with vendors along with deep knowledge of underlying financial and operational processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute leasing strategies aligned with infrastructure growth planLead the end-to-end equipment leasing program and strategy, including the decision framework for buy vs. lease and the selection of third-party capital partners.
- Act as the main contact for financing partners, track financing terms across lenders (rates, fees, covenants), support negotiations for new leases and refinancing, compare financing options and recommend the lowest-cost structure.

We are seeking a Global Lease Sr. Analyst that is strategic and detail oriented to oversee the leasing lifecycle of infrastructure equipment across our global cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and leasing data center equipment, expertise in negotiating with vendors along with deep knowledge of underlying financial and operational processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute leasing strategies aligned with infrastructure growth planLead the end-to-end equipment leasing program and strategy, including the decision framework for buy vs. lease and the selection of third-party capital partners.
- Act as the main contact for financing partners, track financing terms across lenders (rates, fees, covenants), support negotiations for new leases and refinancing, compare financing options and recommend the lowest-cost structure.
- Manage all facets of the lease portfolio, including maintaining a centralized register, tracking key financial terms (principal, interest, payment schedules, maturity), and monitoring for variances and refinancing needs.
- Coordinate and liaise equipment needs / orders between the Infrastructure, Engineering, Procurement teams and the appropriate capital partner throughout the procurement process.
- Coordinate the operational execution of new leases, including required documentation, timing, validating lease contracts against vendor invoices and funding with financing partners and internal teams.
- Provide financial forecasting support including producing monthly/quarterly lease schedules, forward-looking cash flow projections, delivering structured inputs for budgeting and long-range planning and ad-hoc analysis.
- Establish and maintain processes, including standard templates for tracking and creating clear workflows for new lease intake, contract approval, payment tracking, and handoff to accounting teams.
- Serve as the primary liaison and escalation point for all internal and external program stakeholders, including financing partners, Infrastructure, Legal, and Accounting teams.

- Bachelor's degree in a business, technical, or analytical field (e.g., Business Administration or Economics).
- Experience in financial modeling and forecasting and familiarity with accounting and finance concepts, such as cash flow management.
