Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Safety Specialist to assist with day-to-day field operations for our trucking division. This position plays a critical role in supporting drivers, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining communication across teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of company safety programs in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations
• Monitor driver compliance with HOS, ELD usage, and safety policies; escalate issues as needed
• Conduct routine audits, inspections, and safety checks; assist in identifying risks and implementing corrective actions
• Assist with accident investigations, including documentation, root cause analysis, and claims coordination
• Maintain Driver Qualification Files (DQF) and other compliance records accurately and in a timely manner
• Coordinate driver onboarding, safety orientation, and ongoing training programs
• Work closely with dispatch, operations, and maintenance teams to support safe fleet operations
• Track CSA scores and safety KPIs; support initiatives to improve safety performance
• Assist with DOT audits and regulatory inspections
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and inspection compliance, including pre- and post-trip inspections
• Analyze safety data and provide insights to support continuous improvement
• Promote and support a positive safety culture across the organization

Qualifications:

• 1–5 years of experience in trucking safety, regulatory compliance, and/or fleet management
• Solid working knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance requirements
• Experience supporting driver safety programs, including Hours of Service (HOS), ELD systems, and CSA score monitoring and improvement
• Hands-on experience with accident investigations, root cause analysis, and basic claims coordination
• Familiarity with fleet maintenance programs, including preventive maintenance scheduling and DOT inspection requirements
• Ability to maintain accurate Driver Qualification Files (DQF) and safety/compliance documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with safety/compliance or fleet management systems
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support training and influence safe behaviors among drivers and staff

• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and dispatchers, addressing attendance issues and ensuring timely communication.

• Collaborate closely with the Safety Manager to ensure field operations comply with company safety policies and standards.

• Coordinate with external repair vendors by initiating service requests, negotiating pricing, and reviewing invoices for accuracy.

• Support the implementation and enforcement of company safety regulations and procedures.

• Assist with driver recruitment and onboarding, including participating in interviews and conducting safety orientations.

• Organize and lead regular safety meetings and training sessions for drivers.

• Manage yard inventory and optimize space utilization to maintain an efficient and organized yard.

Qualifications:

• Entry level to 3 years of experience in logistics or transportation.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily yard activities (In & out).
• Direct truck traffic and ensure proper staging of the equipment.
• Communicate with yard workers for safe cargo handling.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate yard inventory records and update accordingly.
• Inspect cargo conditions and report damages or discrepancies.
• Minimize yard congestion and optimize space utilization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in yard operations, logistics, or transportation is preferred.

Responsibilities

-Manage full-cycle domestic trucking operations, including FTL and LTL shipments, from load planning through final delivery and settlement.
-Coordinate with warehouses and customers to ensure accurate freight pickup, delivery scheduling, and dock appointments.
-Secure and manage carrier capacity, negotiate competitive rates, and monitor service performance to meet operational KPIs.
-Track and oversee transportation schedules, proactively addressing delays, service disruptions, or accessorial issues.
-Prepare, review, and verify transportation documentation (BOL, rate confirmations, invoices, delivery receipts) to ensure compliance and accuracy.
-Oversee billing processes, including issuing customer invoices (A/R), auditing carrier invoices (A/P), and resolving discrepancies.
-Monitor shipment-level profitability and analyze margins to ensure cost control and performance targets are achieved.
-Maintain accurate shipment and financial records within TMS/ERP systems, ensuring timely load closure and reporting.
-Collaborate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve delivery, damage, shortage, or claim-related issues efficiently.
-Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen carrier partnerships. 

Qualifications

-5~7 years of hands-on logistics operations experience (freight forwarding, carrier management, shipment planning, tracking).
-Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Proficiency with logistics systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook), and basic reporting tools.

• Conduct proper cargo securement using chains, and other required equipment according to safety standards and regulations.
• Handle OOG loads requiring specialized knowledge of weight distribution, route planning, and maneuvering. 
• Coordinate with yard dispatchers, operators and warehouse staff to ensure smooth pick-up and delivery operations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. 
• Maintain accurate driving logs and transportation documentation.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in heavy haul, OOG, or specialized transportation.
• Proven experience with cargo securement using chains and binders.
• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with appropriate endorsements. 
• Strong understanding of load weight distribution, securement regulations, and safety procedures.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Ability to operate various equipment such as flatbeds, step decks, and lowboy trailers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a logistics team.
• Knowledge of battery transport regulations and hazardous materials handling is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and service-related inquiries.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments.
• Support the team by obtaining proof of delivery, requesting invoices for settlements, and completing related tasks.
• Monitor transportation progress and proactively resolve any delays, service exceptions, or customer issues.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, delivery confirmations, and service requests.
• Manage data entry and maintenance by retrieving delivery orders from customers and updating the master file and TMS (Transportation Management System).
• Prepare and manage transportation-related documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), delivery orders, and invoices. 
• Collaborate closely with the logistics and operations teams to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The base pay range for this role is between $48,000 - $60,000/yr, and your base pay will depend on your experiences, qualifications, and skills.
