AV Operations Specialist, New York City
Convene, a global industry leader in premium meeting, event, flexible office, and membership spaces is seeking a full-time AV Technician to join our Operations team at our prestigious 530 5th Avenue property. The AV Technician also known as the AV Operations Specialist will exemplify a passion for Hospitality, Events, and AV Technology along with being a proponent of cultivating a positive and inclusive employee culture. In this role, the AV Operations Specialist will partner with and report directly to the General Manager as well as the Technology Manager.
What You’ll Do:
The AV Operations Specialist provides and supports all services used to deliver technology to our customers and associates including networking, desktop support, audio, video, HSIA, audio & video conferencing, webcasting, and basic lighting for different types of meetings and events. The AV Operations Specialist works closely with customers and the AV Management Team to deliver an excellent meeting, conference, and working experience. The person in this role also works directly with the property and event teams to deliver excellent client experiences.

This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.

AV Operations Specialist (AV Technician), London
Salary Range: £30,000-33,000/annually with eligibility for discretionary annual bonus.
Schedule: Full time. Monday-Friday with varied night and weekend shifts as needed based on our event calendar.

Convene is looking for skilled V1 Video Engineers to join our expanding production team in New York City. This position offers part-time to full-time hours on a scheduled shift basis. The V1 Video Engineer is responsible for managing the operation of large-format video switchers and processing systems to ensure an excellent experience for clients during meetings, conferences, and other live events. This includes handling Analog Way Aquilons, Ascenders, and other high-end equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in video engineering, a deep understanding of video processing for projector blends and LED video walls, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Audio Visual Event Technology Manager (Technology Manager), London

As the AV Technology Manager, you will oversee the end to end delivery of large scale, high impact corporate events with precision and excellence. You will lead a high performing technical team and partner closely with clients to bring their vision to life, managing every element of audio visual production from sound and lighting to video and staging to create seamless and memorable event experiences. Salary: £50,000 - £60,000/annually commensurate with experience

What You’ll Do:
The Technology Manager delivers and manages all audio-visual production services, including networking, desktop support, audio, video, HSIA, audio & video conferencing, webcasting, and basic lighting for meetings and events. They collaborate to ensure an excellent meeting and workday experience, overseeing, training, and developing AV Specialists. They also work with sales and production teams for seamless client execution.

The Technology Manager will be responsible for weekly financial reporting of client programs, tracking labor hours/dollar amounts, and contributing to monthly and quarterly operations reports in conjunction with the location General Manager.
