The contributions you will make: This position analyzes new credit requests, makes loan servicing decisions for existing clients and performs other essential credit duties. Completes the financial analysis and underwriting on a variety of crop and livestock industries throughout Compeer’s territory. Makes credit decisions that are consistent with established credit policies, procedures and best practices. The incumbent approves or denies requests within their delegated authority with a majority of the time being spent on completing loan analysis on more complex client relationships and communicating decisions to internal and external team members. Frequently meets with clients and Financial Officers to discuss loan packages and provide financial counseling to clients. Visits clients on the farm regularly to view their operations.

A typical day: 

Credit Analysis

• Analyzes complex financial and supporting documentation submitted for formal and informal lending and servicing requests.
• Identifies, communicates, and assists in the collection of financial information required to process lending and servicing requests.
• Approves, declines, or escalates complex credit decisions to higher authority levels as required.
• Determines appropriate level of analysis and due diligence required based on credit risk.
• Determines appropriate account classification and probability of default rating.
• Effectively communicates credit decision, terms, conditions, and findings through a formal narrative write-up.
• Establishes loan conditions and closing requirements for approved actions.
• Provides guidance on credit-related issues that arise during the processing, closing, and servicing of lending transactions.
• Mentors and trains less experienced team members. 
• Facilitates negotiation of credit agreements between Compeer, borrower, participants and outside counsel.
• Develops innovative credit solutions to meet client needs.

Loan Servicing and Credit Administration 

• Proactively monitors lending portfolio and loan performance for the organization and provides direction for loan classification.
• Collaborates with sales team and clients to develop a plan to cure loan delinquencies or other servicing requests.
• Structures stressed credits to align with lending requirements and growth objectives.
• Coordinates with sales and risk assessment units to manage higher-risk client relationships.
• Monitors database exception reports to ensure proper financial, collateral, and loan classifications are accurate.
• Works closely with sales and operations teams to balance credit risk with portfolio growth.

Client Relations

• Works jointly with Financial Officers and other team members to implement Team Relationship Model approach with key clients.
• Meets with clients to discuss financial performance relative to Compeer's credit standards and industry norms.
• Prepares and presents financial peer reports, industry benchmark analysis and other financial counseling tools to clients.
• Help's clients understand their financial standing and set future goals. 

The skills and experience we prefer you have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in ag business, finance, economics or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
• 10+ years of experience in Credit Analysis in a financial institution.
• Expert knowledge of agricultural businesses and operations, crop insurance and livestock industries and associated production practices.
• Expert knowledge of loan products, services, and credit operations. 
• Expert understanding of credit processing and servicing activities, accounting principles and practices, credit analysis procedures, credit administration, monitoring and reporting.

This position is responsible for serving Compeer’s internal and external clients by developing new business through Financial Officers, agribusinesses and vendor relationships. The incumbent will market, structure and deliver leasing products; lead any Compeer ‘front-end guidance’ research, and collaborate with other Compeer teams for smooth and efficient process flow and client service

A typical day: 

Leasing Program Management

• Develops and supports programs targeting manufacturers, regional cooperatives, and/or large agribusinesses with retail affiliates.
• Tracks progress of leases until the transaction is denied or totally funded and the lease is closed.
• Increases the close rate between approved leases and closed leases. Provides quotes from published pricing schedule.
• Maintains focus on delivering high quality client service to internal and external clients while balancing the need to maintain sound 
  credit/leasing administration.
• Manages stock and specific lease transaction issues.
• Educates lending team members on advantages of lease products.
• Manages third party vendors as necessary.
• Oversees portfolio management activities including lease renewals, account monitoring, client retention, and portfolio growth strategies.
• Supports fleet leasing management through scheduling, lifecycle coordination, reporting, and operational oversight.
• Assists with leasing-related projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Supports Senior Leasing Specialists with day-to-day responsibilities including documentation, transaction processing, pricing support, and client follow-up.

Business Development

• Aggressively markets leasing and related services, establishes new market relationships which contribute towards attainment of goals and business objectives.
• Maintains a prospect file, establishes ongoing prospecting plans and activities, and develops and maintains a commitment to individual sales goals.
• Partners with Core Markets-Lending team members to bring “value added” products to clients.
• Responsible for sales closings, positive client relations, and generally contributing to the Compeer image as the leading financial 
  institution committed to borrowers.

Industry Knowledge

• Continuously builds on industry knowledge as a leasing and agricultural business resource to clients.
• Provides internal client support in leasing education and supporting lease marketing efforts.

The contributions you will make:  This position accurately and efficiently delivers required disclosures, closing packages, funding, closed loan information and post-closing shipping and validation for Compeer Home loans. The also incumbent is responsible for accuracy and timely delivery of transactions to investors and servicer.

A typical day: 

• Reviews loan file to ensure all milestones have been completed prior to closing.
• Ensures information is accurately entered into the LOS and properly processes, prepares, and delivers disclosures, closing disclosures, and closing packages in a compliant and timely manner.
• Assembles and delivers closing package to title Coordinates closings with title companies to balance closing disclosures, closing requirements, and funding amounts. Creates funding sheets to balance with outside title agency, and submits and approves wire transfers. Ensures loans are processed and closed according to rules and regulations set forth by the following: (CFPB) Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Laws, (TRID) (TILA) Truth in Lending Act (RESPA) Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act Integrated Closing Disclosures rules, (ECOA) Equal Credit Opportunity Act, (HMDA) Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, (HOEPA) Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act, (GMI) Government Monitoring Information Requirements, (MLA) Military Lending Act.
• Consults with internal legal and compliance departments to ensure loans and documents are compliant.
• Locks in interest rates for all internal and external loan products and programs; validates Service Release Premiums and confirms accurate pricing adjustors. Administers rate lock extensions and changes in accordance with procedures and
• Reviews closed/signed/completed loan packages to ensure complete and relevant documents have been received. Reviews closed loan packages in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner to ensure loans meet program and federal criteria.
• Funds disbursements for loans closing with outside title companies; creates funding sheets to balance with outside title agency, and requests wire of funds from Cash Desk.
• Ensures timely and accurate loan posting and reporting to Balancing and Finance departments.
• Prepares and files/indexes documents for long term storage and delivery to
• Reviews all documents to be uploaded to sub servicer and ensures accurate and timely delivery of requirements for subserviced loans.
• Follows post-close trailing documents procedures and workflows to ensure all required documentation is received in a timely fashion. Manages all follow-up to ensure receipt of necessary documents from title companies and lending partners in order to finalize loans in accordance with requirements of the end investor (Farmer Mac, Freddie Mac and Portfolio)
• Prepares Allonges, services transfer letters and manages transmittals for files in the pool sales.
• Ships files in pool sales and updates shipping logs.
• Maintains monthly US Bank Exception report.
• Is responsible for execution of MERS requirements, loan delivery through MERS as applicable, and accuracy per MERS requirements.
• Attends regular training sessions offered by Compeer, investors and various vendors.
• Works with internal and external auditors to revise current processes and procedures to comply with federal and state regulations.
• Assists with training Compeer Home team members on tasks that impact document processing.

This position performs tax planning, tax preparation services and is responsible for signing client tax returns. Manages the delivery of tax and accounting products and services. Promotes and markets tax and accounting products and services to clients and eligible prospects.

A typical day: 

• Performs tax projections and works with clients to develop strategic tax plans in accordance with Compeer policies and procedures and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code requirements.
• Provides tax and accounting consulting services on a wide range of issues affecting clients.
• Prepares and signs income tax returns for individual, partnership and corporate clients.
• Prepares payroll tax, 1099, W2 and related forms and reports.
• Participates in the development and presentation of ongoing educational programs for Compeer team members and clients regarding tax and accounting services.
• Assists Compeer team members on client visits and at agriculture or community events to develop knowledge in all Compeer products and services.

The skills and experience we prefer you have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Advanced experience in tax planning and preparation.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required.
