This is an execution-intensive position requiring strong attention to detail, process discipline, and the ability to manage a high throughput of concurrent contracts. The role is critical to enabling the organization to operate at scale through reliable, high-quality contract execution.
Within a growing function, this role helps standardize and scale vendor workflows, ensuring contracts progress quickly and compliantly from intake through signature. The position offers meaningful exposure to cross-functional partners and establishes a foundation for progression into higher-complexity vendor management and program ownership over time.

The FP&A team partners closely with leaders across CZI to translate strategy into actionable financial plans, deliver decision-ready insights, and ensure strong financial stewardship.
This Senior Financial Analyst will support both Learning Commons and select Central functions in a shared FP&A model. The role will report to the Director of Finance, Learning Commons, and work closely in partnership with the Director of FP&A for Central. Operations includes our Central Tech, Finance, Marketing & Communications, People, and Real Estate / Workplace / Events / Facilities / Security (REWFS) teams. Together, these teams create the systems, programs, and experiences that empower our partners and colleagues across Biohub and Learning Commons to drive impact.
This work requires strategic and operational rigor, creativity, and deep collaboration. Whether designing world-class employee experiences, safeguarding data and infrastructure, or shaping how we communicate our impact, Operations plays a critical role in helping deliver meaningful change at scale.
The Finance team ensures the accuracy and completeness of financial information across CZI, Biohub, and Learning Commons. We are building a world-class accounting function and strive for excellence in a complex and highly dynamic environment. Our goal is to maximize systems like Workday, Salesforce, as well as leverage AI to streamline processes and deliver high-quality reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
As Senior Accountant, you will report to the Director of Accounting Close & Consolidation, and will be responsible for helping to prepare and review month end close transactions. Familiarity with a multi-entity organization is preferred.
In addition to month-end close, you will also assist in various projects and tasks such as internal reporting, process documentation, accounting memorandums, and audit support. Note that this role is not responsible for internal controls ownership or audit preparation; you will contribute to audit support by providing schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor requests as needed.
You should also be familiar with and successful at using and trouble-shooting ERP software. Experience with Workday is a plus but not required. You will work with various teams at CZI and external partners including FP&A, Accounting Operations, Payroll, Corporate Accounting, Legal, Facilities, IT and external consultants. It is important that you have experience working with a variety of teams and partners and have a collaborative mindset.
We are looking for someone who has worked in a dynamic, fast paced environment, and is excited by the prospect of being involved in the creation of new processes and procedures. An ideal background would be experience at a top public accounting firm and additional experience with month-end close in the tech industry or another fast-paced, high-growth industry. A CPA license (active or inactive) is also required.
A successful candidate will have experience working with a variety of accounting topics and knowledge of accounting guidance (GAAP). You must have experience in independent project management and be able to execute a project from start to finish. You should also have demonstrated experience using AI tools in a professional accounting context—such as AI-assisted reconciliations, automated journal entry support, or AI-powered analytics—and a genuine interest in continuing to leverage AI and automation to improve close processes.

Our teams operate at the intersection of innovation and scale, building the infrastructure, partnerships, and capabilities that allow scientists, educators, and innovators to tackle some of the most complex challenges of our time — and to do so with urgency, integrity, and optimism.
Our Legal and Grants team (“Team LeGiT”) is a key partner in enabling Biohub’s pioneering work to combine frontier AI with frontier biology to prevent and cure disease and Learning Commons’ mission to build AI infrastructure that aligns how students learn with the tools that shape their learning experiences.
Team LeGiT helps accelerate Biohub’s and Learning Commons’ missions by structuring, negotiating and executing on strategic partnerships, grants and contracts, as well as providing advice that spans IP, technology, exempt org and labor law. We work directly with scientists, engineers and educators in the development of frontier AI models, partnerships with universities, and a wide range of science and education tools and products. In addition to supporting our programmatic colleagues, we regularly collaborate across Executive, Operations, Central Tech and Investments teams to advance the organization’s philanthropic goals. Our team also manages Mark and Priscilla's Family Giving to provide funding for nonprofit organizations, including in the communities where they live and work.
The Product, Privacy, and IP (“PPIP”) team, a subteam of LeGiT, is composed of attorneys and legal compliance professionals who provide day-to-day counsel to teams across CZI on intellectual property (IP), data privacy, and other AI and technology-related legal and policy matters. We partner closely with scientists and AI researchers across the Bihoub and Learning Commons to support the development of cutting-edge AI models, technologies and research platforms. Our work enables teams to advance biomedical science and leverage AI in ways that are innovative and impactful.
At its core, LeGiT and PPIP exist to build trust — with our partners, our grantees, and the communities we serve — and to help our organizations operate with integrity as we take on some of the world’s most complex challenges.
Join our team as Counsel, AI & Technology and play a key role in supporting the development of cutting-edge AI tools and scientific technologies. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of law, AI, product development, and biomedical research—partnering directly with scientists, engineers, and product teams as they build systems that have the potential to transform how we understand and treat disease.
As we continue to expand our work in AI and life sciences, you will serve as a trusted legal partner embedded with science and AI teams across the organization. You will help teams navigate complex and evolving questions around data use, intellectual property, and AI law—providing practical guidance that enables innovation while managing risk. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of novel legal, technical and scientific challenges, and play a meaningful role in advancing Biohub and Learning Commons’ missions to prevent and cure disease and build AI infrastructure that aligns how students learn with the tools that shape their learning experiences.
If you are energized by working closely with technical teams, enjoy operating in fast-moving and mission-driven environments, and are excited about applying your legal skills to emerging AI technologies, we encourage you to apply.
