Ceribell is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our core research and product development activities. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with a backend focus to join our dynamic team and help build the next generation of EEG web applications that support critical medical use cases. As a Software Engineer at Ceribell, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the backend systems of the EEG Portal web application. This application is crucial for healthcare providers, researchers, and clinical teams to access, monitor, and analyze EEG data. You will work closely with fellow Engineers, Product Managers, and Stakeholders to ensure the backend is robust, secure, and able to scale in a medical environment. 

What you'll do:

Backend Development & Maintenance:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems to support the EEG Portal application, ensuring reliable performance and compliance with healthcare standards.
• Implement new features and improvements to support clinical and research requirements, focusing on efficiency and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems to ensure the highest level of uptime and reliability for users.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly technical Director of Systems Engineering to lead the core electrical hardware, systems, and software development of our next-generation products, while providing ongoing systems engineering leadership for our current core products. In this role, you will be the primary technical leader responsible for translating complex user needs into robust system architectures. You will directly manage and scale a multi-disciplinary team encompassing Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Software/Embedded Linux. Crucially, you will oversee complete system integration, ensuring seamless interaction across the hardware and software stack, while guiding key external integrations and development partners. 

What you'll do:

Engineering Leadership:  Manage, mentor, and actively grow the Electrical, Systems, and embedded software engineering teams.

Systems Engineering & Architecture: Own the system-level architecture of core and next-gen products. Drive requirements generation, flow-down, and traceability across hardware and software disciplines. Ensure the system is designed for reliability, scalability, and manufacturability .

Software Oversight: Guide the software development strategy of next-gen products. Oversee both the embedded stack and the OS-SW teams, driving OS-level configurations, kernel optimizations, and managing external contractors for board support packages (BSPs) .

Hardware Execution: Lead the EE team through the full hardware lifecycle, from component selection and schematic capture to PCB layout, board bring-up, and design for manufacturability (DFM)

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Head of Contracts, the Contracts Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management and compliance of customer, corporate, vendor, and government contracts. What you'll do:

• Negotiation & Strategy: Negotiate simple and complex customer, commercial, and strategic agreements, including GPO, IDN, Data Privacy/Security, Clinical Study, partnership, and vendor agreements, in a diplomatic manner that protects the company and balances business, financial, and legal objectives.

Position Overview:

Ceribell is looking for a Firmware Engineer / Embedded Engineer who is passionate about biomedical applications and who has experience in the development of embedded or IoT products. The successful candidate will join the R&D team and will play a key role in the development of the next generation of Ceribell’s life saving technologies.  Our firmware development stack is based around a STMicroelectronics STM32 ARM Cortex microcontroller and we use FreeRTOS, the IAR Embedded Workbench, and the TouchGFX framework. You must be able to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional R&D team, but you must also be able to take individual ownership for development, testing, and documentation of your projects.

• Develop and test firmware features for Ceribell’s EEG systems
• Understand user needs and translate them to the development of new and improved features
