Celigo is looking for a Manager, Data Engineering to serve as the primary architect and custodian of Celigo’s data ecosystem, balancing high-level strategic planning with hands-on technical leadership. You will own the full lifecycle of our data infrastructure—from the design of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud warehousing strategy to the enforcement of rigorous data governance and observability standards. As a bridge between technical execution and business value, you will lead a high-performing team of engineers to deliver a reliable "source of truth" that empowers Data Science, Product, and Executive leadership.

What would you do if hired?

• Lead the Data Engineering department, providing technical roadmap guidance and project direction in alignment with company objectives.
• Recruit, mentor, and coach a high-performing engineering team, managing performance and fostering a culture of continuous technical growth.
• Oversee the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure, including data warehouses and robust ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Partner with Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into effective, scalable technical solutions.
• Establish and enforce data quality standards, automated validations, and observability frameworks to ensure high reliability across all pipelines.
• Manage resource allocation and sprint cycles to ensure timely delivery of high-impact projects while maintaining data governance and security policies.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging industry trends and tools to optimize data processing costs and engineering velocity.
• Measure and report on team impact through defined KPIs, ensuring engineering output directly supports business goals.

Who are we looking for?

Skills & Abilities

• Proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and resource planning to production deployment.
• Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior leadership.

Education & Experience 

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of technical leadership or engineering management experience, preferably in a fast-paced startup or SaaS environment.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, specifically building production-grade pipelines and distributed computing frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience in BI, data modeling, and modern cloud data warehousing architecture (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).

Celigo reasonably expects to pay a base salary between $150,000 and $175,000 per year for this position. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Celigo is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to serve as a hands-on architect and steward of our Snowflake-based data ecosystem. You will own the design and delivery of scalable ELT pipelines, production-grade data models, and the observability frameworks that keep them reliable — translating complex business requirements into well-documented, high-performance data solutions that power analytics, BI, and ML across the organization. Partnering closely with Analytics, Product, and Engineering, you will enforce data quality standards, contribute to governance practices, and continuously optimize for cost efficiency and data freshness. You'll bring deep Snowflake expertise, a modern dbt-native development mindset, and a fluency with AI-assisted tooling to accelerate your own velocity and raise the bar for the team around you.

What would you do if hired?

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and data infrastructure using Snowflake and modern tooling.
• Architect and implement data models — including dimensional, data vault, and medallion/lakehouse patterns — to support analytics, BI, and ML use cases.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into reliable, well-documented data solutions.
• Establish and enforce data quality standards, automated validations, and observability frameworks to ensure high reliability across all pipelines.
• Contribute to data governance practices, including documentation, data lineage, access control, and compliance standards.
• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, compute cost efficiency, and data freshness across the warehouse.
• Evaluate and implement emerging Snowflake features and data tooling to improve engineering velocity and reduce costs.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent) to accelerate pipeline development, code review, and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and cross-functional technical planning sessions.

Who are we looking for?

Skills & Abilities

• Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouse configuration, clustering, data sharing, role-based access control, and cost governance.
• Strong command of modern ELT tooling such as dbt, Fivetran, Airflow, or Prefect in a Snowflake-native environment.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML tools into the development cycle, including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, or LLM-powered data workflows.
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, well-documented technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Education & Experience 

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, specifically building production-grade pipelines and distributed computing frameworks.
• 3+ years working directly with Snowflake in a production capacity.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting or contributing to at least one full data warehouse migration or rebuild on Snowflake.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred).
• Experience with version-controlled, CI/CD-driven data pipeline development (e.g., dbt + GitHub Actions or equivalent).
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance considerations in a cloud data warehouse context (e.g., column-level security, dynamic data masking, audit logging).

Celigo reasonably expects to pay a base salary between $100,000 and $130,000 per year for this position. Partnering closely with Data Engineering, you will drive deep-dive analyses across revenue, product, customer, and operations — proactively surfacing trends and opportunities rather than waiting to be asked. You'll establish metric definitions and reporting standards that scale with the function, leverage AI tools to eliminate manual toil, and communicate findings with clarity and confidence to audiences at every level of the organization.

What would you do if hired?

• Own and develop dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytics that give stakeholders timely, accurate visibility into business performance.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses across key business areas — including revenue, product usage, customer behavior, and operational efficiency — to surface actionable insights.

Who are we looking for?

Skills & Abilities

• Strong analytical instincts — comfortable forming hypotheses, stress-testing assumptions, and telling a clear story with data.
• Highly proficient in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries across large datasets in a cloud data warehouse environment (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with BI tools such as Sigma, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar for building and maintaining dashboards and self-serve reporting.
• Familiar with using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to accelerate analysis, generate code, and automate repetitive workflows.
• Excellent communication skills — able to translate data findings into concise, actionable narratives for business stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments and takes initiative to define processes where none yet exist.

Education & Experience 

• Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role, preferably in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL; experience with Python or R for analysis is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks used by business stakeholders.
• Experience working with go-to-market, finance, or product data is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with DBT or similar data modeling tools is a bonus.

Celigo reasonably expects to pay a base salary between $75,000 and $115,000 per year for this position. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
