The Role 

As an Project Controls Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the Project Delivery team in development, delivery, and maintenance of Cavnue projects, including helping to coordinate tasks during the design, construction and deployment phases of the project, and to help manage all aspects of the projects from start to finish alongside Project Managers.  The primary tasks include contract administration, scheduling, documentation review and tracking, project budgets, interfacing with public agency clients, and prime and subcontractors, and quality assurance associated with projects.

Role overview: 

• Coordinate daily activities with Cavnue Project Managers, contractors and subcontractors to address issues and maintain project progress.
• Assist in developing contract modifications, addenda, and other project documentation.
• Prepare daily reports, maintain accurate records, and support project documentation control.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely submission, tracking, and documentation.
• Manage project budgets and schedules to support on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Track risk/opportunity register across all projects.
• Support proposal development and production, including materials, presentations, and compliance documentation.
• Assist Project Delivery staff in identifying problems, developing solutions, and coordinating stakeholder meetings.
• Maintain electronic file systems and project portals, providing administrative support and facilitating communication with DOT and other stakeholders.
• Interface with Cavnue and Consor leadership for monthly/quarterly project reviews.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management; 1+ years of experience in project engineering or construction/project management on large-scale highway and/or ITS projects.
• Experience with DOT or local agency construction projects, including field inspection and project engineering roles.
• Knowledge of DOT documentation and Document Controls, Standard Specifications for Construction, contract modifications, and contractor payment procedures.
• Experience with scheduling software.
• Experience with estimating, budgeting, and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Field Manager and ProjectWise; Strong ability to collaborate consultants and contractors, with excellent professional communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, applying innovative problem-solving skills.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in database systems, data pipelines, and real-time data infrastructure. As a core member of our engineering team, you will own the design and evolution of our data layer, from schema design and query optimization to building scalable pipelines and APIs that power our platform. This is a fully remote, hands-on individual contributor role where you'll wear many hats, move fast, and have significant ownership over foundational systems. Core Responsibilities:  

• Design, build, and maintain robust database schemas optimized for both transactional and time-series workloads, primarily using PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB/TigerDB.
• Architect and manage scalable data pipelines, from raw ingestion through transformation and storage with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Build and operate data warehouse infrastructure on GCP, ensuring data is well-organized, queryable, and cost-effective at scale.
• Develop and maintain APIs that expose clean, performant interfaces for internal services and external consumers.
• Implement real-time and streaming data solutions that handle high-throughput, low-latency workloads.
• Own data quality, monitoring, and alerting across the data layer.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is equally comfortable writing high-performance C++ as they are shipping Python services, and who can reason clearly about algorithms, data structures, and system behavior under load. This is a broad, hands-on role working across the full depth of our platform, including building data replay infrastructure for system validation, aggregating traffic data over spatial and temporal windows to generate real-time insights and incident records, improving object tracking algorithms, and ensuring video and sensor data flows reliably from edge devices to the cloud, routing data to AI models for verification and classification.

You will focus on making these systems observable, performant, and production-ready. Our architecture centers on strong API interfaces, supported by a robust stack including PostgreSQL for persistence and Terraform, Helm, and Argo for infrastructure and deployment. You will collaborate across engineering teams to integrate new product features into efficient, low-latency services, while leveraging Datadog to ensure deep visibility into system health.

This is a fully remote, hands-on individual contributor role with meaningful ownership across core systems. We are looking for a generalist who can operate autonomously end to end, from design through deployment and ongoing operation, while using AI-assisted tools thoughtfully to move faster without compromising quality. You think beyond the code, connect your work to the broader product and user experience, and take initiative to turn ideas into action in ambiguous environments.

• Build and maintain high-throughput, low-latency Python and C++ services, owning the full lifecycle from development to monitoring and incident response.
• Design and optimize data structures, Protobuf serialization, and Redis Streams for real-time data processing workloads.
