A Day in the Life: 

This position will encompass a wide variety of tasks where one day does not look exactly like the next. The projects our team handles are high in volume and unique from one another, spanning throughout the whole course of design, procurement, coordination, and post-sale support. 

Typical tasks include: 

• Estimated 50% to 75% of time spent in the field on job sites   
• Supporting installations and equipment start ups to ensure high quality outcomes and adherence to engineering principles
• Handling complex troubleshooting issues

• A combination of being in the field working on job sites and data analysis and remote troubleshooting using building management system (travel required)

A Day in the Life: 

No two days are ever the same in this role. 

Tasks can include:

• Training operators in proper process, tool usage, and tool maintenance. 
• Collaborating with other engineering teams on process efficiency, quality, and safety improvement projects. 
• Developing new designs using 3D modeling software like Solidworks for carts or production tools. Then work with the fab shops to complete the fabrication of them in a timely manner. 
• Work closely with contractors to coordinate utility needs such as air and electrical drops, and oversee the installation of new equipment. 
• Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks on machinery.
• Troubleshoot machines whenever the team needs extra support. 
• Provide hands-on support to production lines as needed.
• Complete hands-on testing for new process changes

An Application Engineer role encompasses a wide variety of tasks where one day does not look exactly like the next. 

Typical tasks can include:

• Exploring different applications and equipment types to help sales engineers meet the requirements of various projects and designs.

This position will encompass a wide variety of tasks where one day does not look exactly like the next. The projects our team handles are high in volume and unique from one another, spanning throughout the whole course of design, procurement, coordination, and post-sale support.

A Day in the Life: 

A typical day often includes collaborating with our manufacturing team to better understand day-to-day processes and roadblocks. The team then documents and creates opportunities for improvement and partners with supervisors & managers to ensure a smooth implementation process of these solutions. Workshopping ideas with other IEs at different plant locations is essential to ensure a companywide implementation success.

Typical tasks also include taking a lead role in project and process implementation across all plants, facilitating communication and task completion and serving as center point of communication across all manufacturing plants.

From an IE: Continuous improvement is a heavy focus and so there is an ability to get involved in tasks that range from small quick process improvements to larger company-wide projects that must be collaborated with directors. IEs often have ownership of a project from concept to sustainability and so it is easy to have a sense of pride and accountability in the work we do. The Field Engineer will serve as engineering support for our sales team assisting with construction management and after-sales field support.
