Summary  

• We are looking for a talented Account Executive / Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing Brandwatch Sales organization. You will be responsible for driving new revenue in Greater China. 

• The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in SaaS sales with a skillset including, but not limited to, strategic prospecting, disciplined pipeline generation, structured discovery, complex deal management, platform demonstration, cross-selling, negotiation and executive stakeholder engagement.  

• A key part of this role will be leveraging internal Cision and PR Newswire existing relationships in China market to identify Brandwatch opportunities. 

• You will drive growth by engaging some of China’s largest organizations, and selling the value of Social Listening / Consumer Intelligence as well as Social Media Management and digital strategy in general. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities  

• Own and deliver net-new Revenue within Greater China territory. 

• Generate and maintain sufficient qualified pipeline to achieve consistent new-logo revenue targets. 

• Execute defined prospecting, discovery, value articulation, negotiation, and close processes. 

• Apply structured sales methodologies aligned to established go-to-market standards. 

• Manage shorter sales cycles with moderate stakeholder complexity. 

• Maintain accurate forecasting and disciplined CRM documentation. 

• Transition closed accounts to post-sale teams upon contract execution. 

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to support business needs.

Qualifications  

• Typical experience: 5+ years in related role or experience.

• Demonstrated ability to close new-logo business. 

• Strong communication and discovery skills. 

• Full proficiency in Mandarin and English  

• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools. 

Preferred Qualifications  

• Experience selling SaaS into Commercial or Enterprise accounts (MarTech preferred) 

• Exposure or familiarity with Digital Marketing, Social Media and Social Listening 

• Familiarity with structured qualification methodologies.

Job Summary 

This Account Executive's role is responsible for driving growth across Brandwatch and Trajaan in APAC (both part of Cision). 

This role is designed for a commercially driven, insight-led professional who can both originate new opportunities - particularly around Social Listening / Consumer Insights / as well as Search Intelligence, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) - and support complex enterprise sales cycles with deep solution expertise. 

You will act as a thought leader and trusted advisor, engaging senior stakeholders across large organizations to identify, shape, influence, and win high-value deals. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Lead Generation & Strategic Business Development
   • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within assigned enterprise segments to drive revenue growth.
   • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through proactive outbound outreach, inbound engagement, and close collaboration with Marketing, SDRs, and internal stakeholders.
   • Act as a market-facing thought leader across Consumer Insights, Search Intelligence, GEO, and Social Media Managementthrough LinkedIn, events, webinars, and industry engagements.
   • Develop and nurture strong relationships with senior decision-makers, influencers, and key stakeholders across target accounts.
   • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs to position differentiated value propositions.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement

• • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Post-Sales teams to share field insights and customer feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable assets including repeatable demos, use cases, and solution frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, forecasts, and account activity in CRM systems.
  • Ensure adherence to pre-sales best practices and operational standards.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5years of experience in SaaS or technology solution selling, including enterprise-level new business acquisition.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and close high-value deals.
• Experience across a combination of lead generation roles.
• Strong experience delivering value-based SaaS demonstrations and articulating business impact. 
• Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, SPIN, BANT, Challenger, or similar).
• Solid understanding of digital, data, analytics, or insight-driven platforms, ideally within Marketing, PR/Comms, CX, SEO, or Strategy functions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and APAC environment.

You will be responsible for driving new enterprise revenue in India with a strong focus on Trajaan, while also growing strategic accounts across the broader Brandwatch portfolio.
• This is a hybrid AE/AM role suited to a highly commercial, enterprise seller who can both self-generate pipeline and expand existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in enterprise SaaS sales with a skill-set including, but not limited to, prospecting, pipeline generation, complex deal management, executive stakeholder engagement, renewal negotiation, upselling and especially cross-selling. A key part of this role will be leading with Trajaan as a strategic growth priority, while identifying opportunities to expand into other Brandwatch solutions where relevant.
• You will drive growth by engaging some of India’s largest organisations, challenging the way customers think about search intelligence, consumer intelligence and digital strategy, and positioning how Trajaan and Brandwatch can support those evolving priorities. You would be a great fit if you are comfortable building from the ground up, owning the full commercial cycle, and balancing a hunter mindset with strong account growth instincts.

What you will do:

• Drive new enterprise business growth in India, with a primary focus on Trajaan and a secondary focus on the wider Brandwatch portfolio;
• Build and manage a robust pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting, self-generated opportunities, partner collaboration and internal support functions;
• Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery through solutioning, commercial negotiation and contract execution;
• Lead land-and-expand motions across strategic accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities;
• Build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Insights, Digital, Strategy, Communications and related enterprise functions;
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers by challenging the status quo and promoting how Trajaan and Brandwatch can support growth, visibility and competitive advantage;
• Maintain constant engagement with accounts post-sale, partnering with Customer Success and internal stakeholders to drive adoption, value realisation, retention and expansion;
• Identify commercial risk and collaborate with internal teams to clear blockers, protect revenue and support successful renewals where relevant;
• Be the primary point of contact for the customer on all commercial and contractual matters within your portfolio;
• Partner with internal Brandwatch and Cision stakeholders to align account plans with the customer’s business priorities and strategic goals;
• Develop strong market knowledge across enterprise sectors in India and stay informed on trends across search, LLM visibility, digital intelligence, consumer behaviour and competitive landscape;
• Possess excellent product knowledge across Trajaan and Brandwatch solutions and lead tailored product demonstrations aligned to customer needs.
• Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline hygiene and account activity within CRM and reporting systems.

What you will have:

• A strong background in enterprise sales and business development, with SaaS experience strongly preferred;
• 6+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role, ideally across a mix of new business acquisition and account growth;
• Proven ability to self-generate pipeline and win new enterprise logos in a competitive market;
• Drive and ambition to achieve and exceed sales quotas;
• Commercial acumen and comfort working towards ambitious growth targets in a highly accountable environment;
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and negotiating commercial agreements with enterprise customers;
• Experience in growing existing client relationships through upsell, cross-sell and renewal ownership where required;
• A results-oriented, highly motivated and enthusiastic attitude, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
• Familiarity operating in a high-growth, high-velocity sales environment;
