Given our exceptional growth, we are expanding and hiring a Pen Tester to join us on this exciting journey. We’re looking for a talented, experienced professional hacker to help us secure some of the world’s most complex software and sophisticated technologies. You’ll be working alongside our US and internationally-based teams supporting clients across multiple industries.                          

Who Are You and What You’ll Do  

You’re a cybersecurity consultant with a strong offensive security mindset and a passion for understanding how modern applications, cloud platforms, APIs, and emerging technologies operate at a deep technical level. You enjoy uncovering security weaknesses, thinking creatively about attack paths, and helping organizations solve complex security challenges through practical, risk-focused assessments. 

At Bishop Fox, you’ll work on a wide variety of security engagements including Cloud Security Assessments, Mobile Application Security Testing, Hybrid Application Assessments (HAA), and AI/LLM Security Assessments. You’ll evaluate modern applications and distributed systems across cloud-native, mobile, backend, and AI-enabled environments. 

Your responsibilities will include performing hands-on security testing, analyzing application behavior, reviewing source code, identifying realistic exploitation scenarios, and validating security controls across modern architectures. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality technical assessments and actionable remediation guidance. 

As a consultant, you’ll contribute throughout the full engagement lifecycle from scoping and test planning to execution, reporting, and client presentations. Success in this role requires strong technical depth, structured testing methodologies, effective communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and environments. 

Your Experience  

• 4+ years of experience in application security assessments, penetration testing, or offensive security engagements 

• Strong understanding of application security fundamentals, modern attack techniques, and common vulnerabilities affecting web applications, APIs, mobile applications, and cloud-native environments 

• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, including authentication/authorization flaws, IDORs, injection vulnerabilities, session management issues, and business logic flaws 

• Strength with AWS services and cloud security concepts, including IAM, STS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and secure communication patterns such as SigV4 

• Solid understanding of networking and web fundamentals, including HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, DNS, API communication flows, cookies, headers, and related concepts 

• Experience reviewing source code for security issues in Java, C#, and Python applications 

• Knowledge of secure coding principles and common risks such as SSRF, insecure deserialization, injection vulnerabilities, sensitive data exposure, and insecure cloud integrations 

• Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and secure development practices 

• Experience using security assessment and code review tools such as Burp Suite, Semgrep, Git, AWS CLI, and API testing/debugging tools 

• Comfortable working across Linux, Windows, and macOS environments 

• Experience or strong interest in AI/LLM security, including prompt injection, RAG risks, insecure integrations, excessive permissions, and the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, actionable findings and communicate technical risks to both technical and executive stakeholders 

• Experience following structured testing methodologies, documentation standards, and validation/retesting workflows 

• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills when working with security, engineering, and client teams 

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements while maintaining high-quality deliverables and attention to detail 

• Curious, adaptable, and professional mindset with a passion for continuous learning and emerging security trends 

Nice to Have 

• Exposure to hardware or embedded device security testing 

• Familiarity with cloud-native and serverless architectures 

• Consulting or client-facing experience 

• Relevant security certifications or hands-on research contributions

The Engagement Manager ensures that our clients and Bishop Fox realize value from our products and services. They have an in-depth understanding of the offensive cybersecurity industry and are responsible for managing client satisfaction and increasing customer engagement with Bishop Fox offerings. The Engagement Manager works directly with customers, as well as internally across delivery teams, account management, product, and marketing, to advocate for value realization throughout the customer lifecycle.

Who Are You and What You’ll Do  

As an Engagement Manager at Bishop Fox, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Ensure that customers realize value from Bishop Fox services at each touchpoint of the customer experience. Initial objectives include:

• Oversee delivery of Bishop Fox products and services to ensure compliance with contract deliverables and Service Level Objectives
• Delivering medium (100-500 hours) to large (500 hours and larger) projects on time, within scope, and under budget
• Executing project plans, proactively identifying and managing risks, resolving/ escalating issues, and driving projects to successful completion
• Building relationships with clients as measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS), ad hoc feedback, and successive contracts.
• Provide customer insights based on customer engagement results, YoY trending, industry comparison, and security best practices, and provide this information to both customers and to account planning teams for upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
• Creating and managing weekly internal and client-facing status reports on each engagement 
• Participate in both internal and client-facing service and account reviews, guiding and representing customer value objectives.
• Drive and participate in go-to-green planning on customer accounts across Bishop Fox delivery, product, and Sales teams.
• Design strategic account support through proactively maintaining high-level technical and operational expertise and understanding of industry trends and customer requirements.
• Contribute to improvements of products and/or services by providing feedback to internal teams as well as customer-facing responses to repeat questions.
• Manage and drive customer satisfaction to meet Bishop Fox's objectives.
• Identifying client concerns and conducting effective root cause analysis and corrective action plans

Mature the customer success function in line with the strategic roadmap of the program, including the following initial objectives:

• Drive the process for renewals on select repeat program work.
• Report internally on customer satisfaction metrics, including NPS scores and feedback.

Your Experience  

In addition to the above, the following is a list of skills and traits that describe you. If you have most of these, we’d like to speak with you.

• At least 3 years of project management experience with security-related projects
• 2+ years' experience as a Customer Success Manager or related role
• Strong understanding of the terminology and guidelines outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• Deeply understands customer security business goals, environment, pain points, and operational maturity, as well as their ultimate desired outcome
• Navigates difficult client situations with expert negotiation skills and a client service mentality.
• Security/cybersecurity industry experience or knowledge. 
• Well-versed in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly experienced with Excel
• Experience working in a matrixed organization

• Respond to information security service requests.  

• Answer the client's "Information Security Questionnaire" to provide details regarding Bishop Fox's information security policies and/or technical controls.  

• Review information security policies.  

• Implement and apply AI capabilities in Security compliance workflows.  

• Participate in information security projects throughout the enterprise. 

Your Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in information security or related field, preferred.  

• 1-2 years of information security policy compliance, risk management, or auditing experience.  

• Preference given to information security/cybersecurity industry experience.   

• Functional knowledge of security principles, concepts, technologies, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, CSF, GDPR, AI regulations)  

• Familiarity with basic information security policies, controls, standards, guidelines, and procedures.  

• Practical knowledge working with AI capabilities.  

• Ability to work independently to ensure assigned work is completed accurately and on time.
